Title Something in the Rain Spoiler
Does it have a happy ending for the leads? Do they end up together?
Yes they do. :) Mind you, the reconciliation is two scenes at the very end, so not everyone felt that it was satisfying.

Loved it! I didn't check the ratings nor did I check why it only got 12 eps and was extremely sad and disappointed…
I really really wish tvN would release original 16-ep shooting scripts, I'd buy them in a heartbeat... and I don't even speak Korean, but even poor quality machine translations would make me so happy.

Title A Piece of Your Mind Spoiler
Had tears in my eyes in Ep 12 when the husband finally talks about his love for his wife as he knows the Ji Soo…
I think whether someone finds the concept of the device creepy or amazing depends on whether they have ever lost someone important, especially in a sudden unexpected way... It would be probably great help to get closure, for those who never had a chance to say goodbye to their loved one. Obviously, it could lead to an unhealthy attachment, but then it was introduced as a therapeutic device used under medical supervision, not as a replacement for Alexa and Siri.

I really wish the show had enough time to explore this concept, and also the memory/Alzheimer's use of the device (what with the old piano tuner lady, and Min Jung who remembers everything)... Many people seem to think that four more episodes would have meant more sweet OTP moments, but my guess is that we got most of the time we were meant to spend with Ha Won and Seo Woo, what is lost are the side plots tying into their story (like hands/touch was explored just when they were at that stage of their relationship).

Pl do watch While you were sleeping,Something in the rain and One spring night..He is great in these dramas
If you want to watch him playing a character that doesn't repress his emotions, Prison Playbook is probably the best choice. It is also a different genre so very little similarity with A Piece of your Mind.
Something in the Rain is another romance melo but Hae In's character there is in many ways the opposite of Moon Ha Won, so it could be a good choice too.
One Spring Night is lovely, but his character there has some similarities to Ha Won (both have been through heartbreak and usually wear a poker face), so I would recommend it less if you want to see a totally different side of the actor.

I see a lot of great reviews but I thought this drama was awful. I'm wondering if more people who didn't like…
EDIT: Sorry, I thought you were genuinely curious about the contradiction between the perceived negative reception of this show and the positive comments here, now I see I missed the subtext. So you won't feel like someone is trying to suppress negative voices, I'll just delete all my comments on this thread.
Have fun!

I have no idea how many business connections there are between Korea and Norway, so I can't comment on that. But from my own small central European country, there were direct flights to Seoul 3 days a week, and they were planning to add more by the summer.

TvN execs responsible for the cut will land in the special hell, joining the highups of Fox who butchered Firefly.

Don't forget that we are still in the middle of the COVID crisis - from my own country, there is no direct flight to Seoul right now, but there was before March.
A direct flight between Norway and Korea would take 11-12 hours.

Feel It Slowly by Jake Tavill, you can find it on spotify and I'm sure on youtube too. Unfortunately though, it's only the 30 seconds you can hear in the opening credits.

This drama really ended... I still couldn't believe how much they cut the scenes to make the romance between Ha…
I'm not saying that I wasn't somewhat disappointed that we only got hugs but not at least some pecks to go with them. But then decided that if the director is so super discreet, that's an invitation. So in my mind, they have been sleeping together (as in, not just in the same space...) since the night of the spring snow. Before, their scenes are filled with UST awkwardness. After, they freely touch and hug. There is only one logical explanation for that...

I have a question . if you compare this drama and when the weather is fine, ( i know both are slow burn melodramas…
I ended up hating WTWIF because of the way it handled a very sensitive topic, I haven't been this disappointed by a kdrama in a long time. Also, I found it too slow and I normally love leisurely storytelling.
APOYM never felt slow to me, the pacing perfectly fitted the show. Many found the beginning confusing but for me it was intriguing, I don't need all the pieces of the puzzle to fit in the very first episode.

Honestly, the tone of the two shows is totaly different, so you should give a chance to both and see which resonates well with you.

Yeah insecurity has been his main problem all alog, he never believed he could measure up to Ha Won. (damn right…
Yeah they must have noticed him, but they just didn't care, they were happy on their own little island and didn't pay attention to the other students, not even one with Asian features. I wonder if speaking Korean would have granted In Wook entry into their circle (since their 'private' language was such a major part of their bond), but that's something we will never know...

This is the type of drama that you must watch with less judgment and more empathy. Every character is battling…
I really like the sensitive and honest approach the show took to mental health struggles. Usually in a kdrama, whatever trouble the main lead has, it can be magically cured either by the hot new lover or maybe an apology or other quick fix... and that is just not how it works. Deep wounds don't disappear overnight, and healing is not straightforward, setbacks happen all the time. I'm happy to see a more realistic portrayal on screen, but I'm pretty sure it will rub many people the wrong way.

i hate how insecure kang in wook's character is, he never believed in his wife's love towards him and pushed her…
Yeah insecurity has been his main problem all alog, he never believed he could measure up to Ha Won. (damn right he was about that too if you ask me, but his wife loved him)

But then, no wonder he had impostor syndrome. Ji Soo and Won hardly even noticed him while they were together, and the only way he could get close to her was when she was forced to part with her friend (due to the aftermath of In Wook's lie). If only In Wook had fought for her attention like a man, rather than get it by cheat, then he would have had no reason to doubt her emotions. Or, if he had come clean to her at the very beginning of their relationship, giving her a choice to reject him or embrace him with all his baggage. But he didn't speak up, and as a result he always felt he was living a life he didn't earn, which only made him feel more insecure and paranoid. He should have seeked therapy, and/or grow a pair and confess and let the chips fall where they may...

Title A Piece of Your Mind Spoiler
If you lost a family member because of a naughty little lie by a thoughtless youth, would you be able to say it…
Ji Soo loved Ha Won's mother very much, she was also her piano teacher, so her death was a personal loss for Ji Soo. Plus she saw how much Won was suffering, she even promised to find the reason why his mom died, so she must have felt she betrayed the trust of his best friend. Yet she loved her husband and couldn't turn her back on him either, and these conflicting loyalties were tearing her apart. It didn't help that she had no friends to support her.

As for Seo Woo, she is angry both on behalf of Ha Won (she has lost her parents too, so she is very sensitive about it), but also because of Ji Soo. Their friendship was short but meaningful for both girls, and Seo Woo hates the man who caused so much misery to his friend. In Wook was only thinking about his own pain and guilt, but ignored his wife's suffering, no matter how many times she pleaded to let her apologize to Won...

The episode cut is really showing in episode 11. I am extremely disappointed in the direction the writing is taking…
Soon Ho's love for In Wook always felt very unhealthy. Like she was not loving him because of who he was (they hardly talked with each other at all), but because he seemed to need help and she wanted to save him, as if he was another one of the dying plants she takes in. I'm happy that she seems to have gotten over this crush, she deserves a wholesome relationship.
As for In Wook, he is freshly widowed and haven't even started to process the loss of his wife (not to mention his other baggage). He should visit a therapist, probably for a couple of years, before even starting to think about dating again.

If you lost a family member because of a naughty little lie by a thoughtless youth, would you be able to say it was just a mistake, no big deal? Only kdrama candy heroines do that, real people don't. Not when someone they love is dead.

Thank you for this review, it finally helped me to understand why I hated every single minute of the last two episodes. It was not just that the aunt I thought to be fierce and smart turned out to be anything but, it was that the show as a whole seems to say that "yeah, domestic abuse is kinda bad but killing a psycho in self-defense is truly unforgiveable". How could they handle such a sensitive topic so poorly? This drama never really clicked with me in the first place, but normally I shrug and move on while I'm still fuming at this one... biggest kdrama letdown in a long while.

I think she does come across a bit theatrical, but to me that is intentionally done. Her hysterical outbursts are half genuine and half putting on a show to get what she wants. But the underlying sentiment, that she knows what's best for her child and won't have anything else, is very real. It must be more common in Asian countries where such behavior is culturally accepted, but it happens everywhere... my own aunt was not much better, even though here in my country parents are not supposed to meddle.

everyone got so irritated with her mother. was i the only one who understood? cuz it really is an asian thing.…
So many viewers only see things from their own cultural context, and parenting is something where Asian and Western norms are very different. Not saying that her behaviour is OK, but in her own society, parents meddling in the life of grown children is not unusual.
