The thing is just because his actions were hurting him AND Seo Joon doesn't mean that Seo Joon should just magically forgive him. He still hurt Seo Joon. Seo Joon can understand that Ji Woo was also hurting, he can even empathise with it but at the same time not forgive him for all the hurt Jiwoo put him through. I think many people here are frustrated because Seo Joon so quickly forgave Ji Woo as if the fact Ji woo was also hurting erases everything. It doesn't. It's sad that his insecurities got the best of him and maybe you can even see it as it not being his fault. But it's a fact the Seo Joon was really really hurt and it should take more than just a few minutes of Ji Woo crying to get forgivenes.
And to add, this also broke the trust in the relationship - if Ji Woo says he won't leave again how can Seo Joon trust him, when this promise was broken before? It should take time for both of them to understand and battle Ji Woo's insecurities and to regain trust in the relationship, instead of this magical getting back together that happened.
Of course this is all my opinion but this all made the ending much less satisfying to me than I feel it could have been.
I was wery much on board with this all the way up to ep 6. I liked that they were exploring their insecurities, the reasons their characters are not so compatible - it just felt like a good angsty story. But then it started draging. Like they kept rehashing the same feelings and responses - the story wasn't moving anywhere. At that point I also started fearing that they won't have time to wrap this up satisfyingly at the pace they were going, or that the ending will be happy but rushed. The second fear unfortunately came true, as the ending didn't feel deserved to me. They spent so much time showing us the bad that they didn't have time to properly redeem Han Ji Woo and make us feel like we want a happy ending. I think if they started turning things around earlier the whole story would have worked as we (and Kang Seo Joon) would have time to understand and forgive the way Ji Woo's been acting.
I still don't regret that I watched it I just had some really high expectations (and I mean they were all reached except the story - the filmmaking was great, the acting was geat, the songs were great...)

It would traditionally be considered a happy ending. However due to how some watchers feel towards the characters because of things that happen in the second season some don't consider it happy. That's the best I can say it without spoiling.
If you were satisfied with how the first season ended then don't watch this one. If you felt like it was rushed or that you feel like their characteres and trauma were not properly explored than give this a try.
This series is making me realise that I'm weirdly sensitive about cheating. I mean I have no problem watching mafia BLs and torture, but for some reason I really can't get over the fact that Vee and Ploy are both cheaters. Like I want to like them, especially Ploy seems like in different circumstances I would have really liked her, but the cheating just makes me feel like they are shitty humans.
Ok the second one wasn't as bad. It started setting up some plots beside their relationship, and it didn't drag as much, although I still feel like it was a bit slow. The editing is still weird at some points but at least it seems like it might have some watch-worthy drama. We'll see.

I was thinking they might just be (one of the) second couple? Otherwise their plot might have something to do with jealousy, but I'm not sure who's going to be jealous. And it seems like Kamol knows (or is aware of) Day so there might just be some sort of a friendship connection (or whatever their relationship is) and this is what connects them to the story.
