Whats the problem of having read novels?

heard someone else mentioning aswell. But in the novel he did have a happy ending. It was like during the last chapter when CYY and YX had a discussion in the open and suddenly they got a message that YX wife was messing with his books if i remember correctly 😂. He had a wife that could annoy him.

I will reread the novel again sometime after the drama ends.

Havent used IG for awhile. But yeah, once caught in it, it is hard to avoid. For me it doesn't matter since i never been bothered by spoilers

ML is more like 15-16 years older in the novel. They kinda did Ye Xian dirty in the drama.

thats great. in regards to chinese costume dramas its my favorite along Yanxi Palace & Eternal Love (Yang Mi). Ming Lan is the most realistic one.

Yeah, seems like they have combined novel Gu Lan/Gu Lian into Drama Gu Lian. Seems similar to how they did with the adopted sister in Rise of Ning.
I also prefer how some people in the Gu family have been treated in the drama compared to novel. Some got off way too easily in the novel

I saw until ep 24 today, Jin Chao and Gu Lan get along quite well. She doesn't harbor any ill will at all towards Jin Chao, more like depending on her instead. Like when she gave her a chance in regards to business.

Yeah i won't watch until sunday. I haven't even watched the previews yet for after 24.

Planning myself to probably rewatch "Meet Yourself" in the next days.

Yeah its a slow paced drama. I think the first like 20 eps are the slowest, after it starts getting really good. I don't remember the exact episode, but i can't really mention after which part either since it would be a spoiler

Hope So. Even when Jinchao got back, she pitied Gu Lan. Unlike in the novel, she isn't maliciously scheming. I see that Jinchao cares about her in the drama. Gu Lian on the other hand was childish and obnoxious in the novel and i hate her even more here haha.

I do wonder what Gu Lan ending will be. She's nowhere near as bad as the novel. Just wonder what will happen now with her going after Gu Lian fiancee as revenge.

In my opinion there has probably been a mistranslation or something.

She should be 15 years old in first ep. Since thats when you usually had your coming of age ceremony.
