From the spoiler i saw, he had already found out. Tells her to be with him rather forcefully but i think she says she likes LSY and hes not happy. Since they making him a villain, he will be even more crazily obsessed. He has made all the wrong moves from the beginning.

Yeah i missed that part. I just will rewatch soon. But it makes sense for time to pass inbetween. Guessing her birth will be revealed soon. Would love to see Yining be loved by her bio dad.

Seems to be the case. I do wonder if it will be revealed before the passes the imperial exam or after. Since as of now, it's the provincial exam he achieved top scholar.
