yeah, i read the extras just before i started. Like the son was transferred to a separate courtyard at the age of 3. Were barely allowed alone time with FL. He ended up growing up distant and emotionally unattached to FL aswell. From reading, both ML and FL failed him. Seems like they going it entirely different here. Also ML was like jealous whenever their son got too close to FL. I find that kind of thing so wierd. Extra much in regard to how ML grew up.

Hopefully when their son is born, he is different compared to novel.

This is also one change i loved in Story of Minglan. ML there treated his concubine daughter horribly, while he loved her in the drama.

Regarding Lu Jia Xue.

So narrow-minded imo. Ren Min has a very soft voice in my opinion. I see no problem with that. Atleast it's a natural voice and not fake like they try to do in some dramas. But i guess since i'm used to Esther Yu's voice, Ren Min's voice doesn't bother me one bit. Also i think her voice fit her character.

Watched the first 2 episodes. This one looks fun. My favorite is Joori. Maybe alittle biased towards Lee Sehee. They also have a good child actress to play her son.

Yeah, from what i heard it was based on Song Dynasty. Which would make sense, since it's a family of scholars and how ML status will rise later. Since scholars were regarded extra highly during Song.

Okay, i haven't read the novel, so who is Zhao Mingzhu. Is it the adopted daughter or who?
