There is this guy who is for weng yue but idk if he is in the cast list yet and their story idk abt it coz there is a separate novel focusing on her. (ZY and CYZ apparently get married and have a baby in that novel.) It was revealed towards the end that wan yue used to like yan ci tho which i found surprising coz she hid it well.

Yep, I have now finished reading the novel. Don't ask me how i did that. Its like 50ish chapters. The novel was soo good, it kept me hooked. Yan ci isn't the ml in the novel and she doesn't end up with him. His character is exactly like the drama and all the scenes I've seen from clips are the same as the novel. I think they didn't change the ml and she will end up with the same guy in the drama. Yan ci will be the one left with regrets ig. Im surprised coz the actor who plays yan ci is more popular than the other guy so i still doubt if they changed it. I saw the author of the novel reply to an angry weibo post from a novel fan saying she isn't involved with the change of ml. I hope they stick to the book even tho i felt bad for the yan ci guy. But ik that yan ci is listed first on the tencent app so I'm confused if its simply coz he's more popular or because of another reason. I also heard that there is another novel focusing on the best friend and in there the cheng yu zhou and zhou yu get married and have a child. Idk what happened to yan ci. Poor guy, I felt bad for him the whole novel.
