They should invest more in good acting and good plot. It's tiring that they dumb down everything nowadays. It looks pretty and shiny, yes. That's apparantly what's important. Unfortunately those stories are shallow and boring, but I guess people like that kind of stuff.
Those shows are shallow. I like the dance acts. The dancers are incredible. Lots of taltent. Great choreography. But the whole production is stupid and cheesy. Everything is scripted and they sell it to you as if it's not. Typical America-Got-Talent-style. My brain cells are dying. It's loud, flashy, a big circus. But I guess you need to do it like that to attract all the girls out there who can swoon over the good looking boys with lots of make-up and flawless skin - look at the comment below, it proves it - Pathetic.
The 1st half was decently interesting, but the 2nd half was boring. However the acting of the 2 leads was amazing…
The revelation who was the serial killer and the revelation who killed Dong Shik's sister - I wasn't shocked, but I didn't see THAT coming. So much for the absence of "shocking twists". I also thought they played it well how everyone seemed suspicious especially Dong Shik and Jung Je.
I don't consider the actress who played Sun Ah "attractive". Neither her body nor her face is outstanding. But they dressed her in such a stylish way and put her in places with backgrounds that fitted her clothes - STUNNING. Great cinematography and stylist. The scene with the wine overflowing the glass was gorgeous.
Don't ruin the bromance. I wouldn't have watched this if it was BL ngl.
This was not a normal bromance. There was a lot of sexual tension. Even when Yo Han turned off the bomb, he touched Ga On in such a strange and alluring way ... don't know why they played it out like that, but Yo Han behaved like he was gay. Very flirtatious and sensual. I'm not complaining, but I'm still baffled. Popular bromances like in Goblin or Beyond Evil weren't done like that. I don't recall ever seeing a high budgt popular kdrama with so much homoeroticism.
I didn't watch this show properly. Skipped too many scenes and even whole episodes. But from what I have seen and understood from the story I thought the ending was pretty decent. May give this show a try now! Btw, it was supposed to be a one-man-show and it was. I feel like all the other characters were just there to tell the Devil Judge's story.
He wasn't just feeling sorry for that but he was also sorry for suspecting Dongsik all this time, he basically…
I thought it was too dramatic, though. He had any reason to suspect Dongsik. And he was always looking for the truth and not once he was a coward when he found out his father was the culprit. I just don't see why he had to behave like he was directly responsible for the sister's death. Still great drama.
Some commenters who were hell-bent on proving that Yohan is Satan reincarnated on Earth and calling him pure evil…
I wonder if we will see the same in real life. Where the ones who think they are rightous, morally superior and so smart will finally understand that they are responsible for not stopping the worst crime in human history by believing the corona hoax and playing along with it.
beyond evil did it best...at least our boy did not stay bias every time and actually did research
In Beyond Evil both leads were smart and rightous. They were on the same moral ground and cared for justice, even though they both went too far to achieve their goals. The leads in Devil Judge are on a complete different levels regarding their intelligence, moral competence and their comprehension of justice.
Yes, this film is absolutely not bromance, at least until episode 15
What's not bromance? Devil Judge? Yeah, there is a lot of sexual tension. But what good it is for, when the characters disappoint regarding the emotional bond? And when we have a forced hetero relationship nobody asked for?
There is something sadistic about the series, or is it just me sensing this? I love good and heart-wrenching stories, but the evil seems so pointless and the suffering too. I have a hard time to connect with the characters.
One of the best Mystery crime dramas out there..Acting is superb by all ,except YJG as the rookie second ML..But…
I think YJG did great. Didn't even know that guy, then I saw he was in Hotel del Luna. Couldn't even remember him, because I wasn't impressed by his performance back then. But in Beyond Evil - no complains.
At this point I want Gaon to drown in his guilt for the rest of his life and rot for all I care! He was annoying…
Honestly, his character being annoying started in the very first episode. I lately wanted to watch this series from the start (because until now I skipped many parts and even episodes) and I immediately remembered why I have a hard time gettting into this drama. Episode 1, Ga On runs to save a child, he goes down and wants to shield it with his body against a BUS. That tells you all that's to know about his character. Haha! Seriously ... run, grab the child, while you keep running. This was his introduction and since then he didn't became much brighter.
Pathetic.
