to be fair, ji sung is a veteran actor. and an amazing one at that. like his crying while laughing scene in secret…
"very good for an idol actor " Lee Seung Gi was a singer before he come to acting. Just saying. The guy is phenomenal and my favorite actor out there. Same goes for Seo In Guk. Both very talented and great in emotional scenes. Jinyoung just doesn't have the right intensitiy for such a drama and such scenes. The writing my be at fault too.
Dropped. From the very beginning I had problems to "feel" the series. Neither the villains nor the heroes are well portrayed and developed. Only Yo Han seems to be an interesting character, but the rest of the cast is lacking. Who cares at this point who dies and who lives? The series wasn't able to make me feel for the characters and the plot. It's a classic case of wasted potential, because they could have done so much more with this. For me this is a big fail.
But I don't see real star potential ... he is doing a good job, but he lacks that spark ...
In "He is Psychometric" his acting felt very fresh, charming and natural. I looked him up only to discover he was a member of a k-pop group. I had no idea. But in this drama ... I don't know. The Ga On character is going on my nerves, haha.

I have seen Jinyoung in "He is psychometric" and I remember how people criticized his acting. People are rather harsh with idols. Back then I thought he was doing a terrific job, very charming. But in such a heavy drama he is miscasted. Maybe it's the baby face, I don't know. Or just the badly written character. I cannot connect with his emotions. It's so over the top and lacks any depths. Ji Sung can pull it off with his overly dramatic acting. Jinyoung not so much. But whatever. He is not bad at all, but he is no Lee Seung-Gi. Haha.
A mess. It’s like they killed a whole person to send the message that GaHan is Not a thing after teasing that…
They really overdid it. There are so many scenes that make no sense until you assume that those two men are interested/attracted to each other. Of course I never expected those two to get together, but don't ruin it like that. I'm pissed.
Ep 13 was horrible. Ga On accepting Soo Hyun out of the blue. I didn't see that romance coming. And then she dies.…
I will admit I don't even watch this series properly. Haha! I tend to skip many scenes. But from what I was sensing those two had a good buddy relationship, like you said, more like siblings or family. It's strange. I was really put off by it.
Haha yeah pretty much. For a show that manages to be progressive in so many areas, you get the worst treatment…
Hahaha! Couldn't agree more. This series reminds me of some American TV series where they do some good old queerbaiting. They introduce two men with insane chemistry, and then we have to watch them getting into a relationship with women whith whom they have no chemistry at all. Not to mention that Yo Han was almost dying in this episode while Ga On was making out. Terrible writing. There obviously is a lot of sexual tension between those two. Yo Han is very alluring and seductive. He is believable as a gay character. And Ga On rejecting Soo Hyun for such a long time and being only her "friend" was also suspicious. They made it look like those two men could be interested in each other romantically. Of course they would never confirm it. But now we got ... this. Sigh ...
honestly this show would have been a huge mess if not for Yo han, Elijah and Ga On. Rest all major characters…
Yeah, especially the family scenes and the bonding between those three is great to watch. The rest? Jesus ... everyone else is sooo annoying. I guess I'm supposed to hate the villains, but I'm just annoyed.
The weird thing about this drama is that the well written parts are superb! But the poorly written parts are just…
Ep 13 was horrible. Ga On accepting Soo Hyun out of the blue. I didn't see that romance coming. And then she dies. Bonding with a character before the character dies. That's one of the worst clichees you can imagine. Even the very emotional death scene just made me roll my eyes. There is something seriously wrong with the writing.
You know, I don't follow this series closely. I hardly know what's going on, but the chemistry between Yo Han and Ga On is off the charts. Is it BL? Of course not. But it's hilarious how they managed to show us how Yo Han almost died and while fighting for his life, Ga On has nothing better to do than kiss the girl. He didn't know, but that's not the point. I'm talking about the writing. That's the way to kill a ship! I have nothing against a bonding scene with the girl, but the timimg! Just perfect *irony off* And then the end. Yeah, that's the way to kill another ship! What were they thinking? I didn't even cry, I was just shaking my head in disbelief. This is such a mess.
I was baffled seeing the high rating. I'm aware that the atmosphere is somehow nice. You feel relaxed and fuzzy watching this. But at the same time it's boring and uninspiring with characters that come across very unrealistic and bland. Watching this series feels like reading those countless BL japanese manga with those student concil boys.
Ga On und Yo Han behave like two boyfriends who broke up. I can't get over how they dare to portray that "bromance". For a high budget drama with famous actors this is mindblowing.
? Kdrama bromance mostly like those maybe afraid to be categorized as bl or ship by ppl?
Well, I guess. But I loved "I'm human, too". There was a special connection between the two men and this connection was consistent and interesting to watch until the end. No other love interests, no clarification of their relationship. In Devil Judge they played a lot with sexual tension like I have never seen it before in a Korean Drama, and now they are chickening out. But maybe I'm wrong. I stopped watching around ep 7.
Is the bromance still going strong in this drama? The homoeroticism in the first couple episodes is the only thing I'm really interested in. I'm not thirsty for BL, there is enough stuff out there. But I have a hard time getting into the plot. I dropped the series and I wonder if it's worth coming back. I feel like they are going more towards a father-son relationship with Ga On being friendly with the niece that Yo Han treats like a daughter. I feel like now he has two children. I seriously think they should have focused more on the sexual tension. As long as they don't kiss you can always sell it as a simple bromance. It felt to me that they were just luring in a certain audience at the beginning and now they are changing the concept.
Unpopular opinion: i want to enjoy this, but I can't. I love the actors, the production, the music. But the plot is meh. The villains are boring and the whole judge system isn't very exciting either. For a dystopian future there isn't much sci-fi conent. Yo Han is (for me) obviously the tragic hero and good guy who has to fight dirty to get to his goal, but people are still guessing? This rich clique is so ... ugh. I feel this is all so pointless. I enjoy the relationships/friendships/family relations. But that's it. I think I will drop it after ep 7. It's a shame. The chemistry between the main leads was great at the beginning, it's now fading. Maybe I'm just not in the right mood to watch this at the moment, and I will come back later.
I couldn't feel the hype. Seemed like another makjang to me. Song Joong Ki's Italian was off-putting. I don't…
He did a good job with his Italian. At least he seemed to know what he was saying. When Asian actors talk in English, the pronounciation, the speed, everything is off to the point where I feel they have no clue what they are even saying. Vincenzo had a heavy accent, no doubt about that. He sounded like a Korean speaking Italian, and he also behaved like a Korean being in Italy, but again, the pronounciation was okay. I mean the pauses while speaking and the emphasis on certain words. I'm not sure if I explained it well, but it was not bad at all.
