I'm the same as Karinna. I love Ji Chang Wook, great actor, but until now I wasn't able to finish even ONE of his dramas. It's not his fault, it's the writers fault. Dramas like Healer and K2 started out incredible strong, but became boring and uninspiring after some episodes. I somehow managed to watch Suspicious Partner until episode 9, but I guess that was it.

I'm very surprised that so many people love this. I'm biased because I'm not so much into historical dramas, but ... honestly ... isn't it depressing? Seeing how Ji Chang Wook is constantly longing for Ha Ji Won's love was breaking my heart. And even though I love Ji Chang Wook, his character in this drama was not very lovable, same goes for Ha Ji Won. She appeared so stubborn and had not much character beside that. I admit there was something about this drama that lures you in, but at the end I just felt incredible frustrated. It's beyond me how someone can finish this with a good feeling in his heart.

There was nothing wrong with his acting, I think it's the script. The character was supposed to be so annyoing. Later on, in more emotional and serious scenes, you can see how intense the acting is.

Such a great actor. I hope he will do more action/thriller/drama series in the future. His potential is wasted on a typical romance drama where he only has to act cute. He is so talented.

I coudn't agree more. I watched it because of all the good things I heard about it. It started out incredible strong, but soon I discovered the girl is a typical damsel in distress who needs protection from the superhero. Not to mention that the whole back story was very typical too. I have seen too many korean dramas and movies to be surprised by all the traumatic occurrences in someone's past. The romance was very cute though.

I think I watched only two episodes. I liked the older cast more and wanted to see how that played out (one of them had a daughter I think), but then they went back and it was suddenly a highschool love story. At that time I just didn't feel like watching a young love blossom lol. Maybe I'll give it another try. The music was phenomenal though.

It depends on what you like. Maybe it's just me, but I feel they are completely different (acting, storytelling, production). I would look at trailers and summaries and then decide.

Boundary Crossing was very cliche, but they somehow managed to make it not cheesy and not cringy. The natural acting helped a lot I guess. Well, you cannot reinvent the wheel.

I have heard about Red Ballon. I love the music! But it was a turn off for me that we saw their young and older selfs. The actors were so different, I felt like watching different pairing. It just didn't work for me (I'm talking about the right show, don't I?)

Do you know a BL that's not cliche and predictable? I would like to watch it.

I know the story about the brothers, but there was a scene when they sat together on a table with the girl and she thanked Yuhao for saving her. He then pointed to the younger brother and said: "It was him asking me to save you". I even went back watching this twice. Did I get that wrong? But well, it doesn't matter.

I'm not offended, no worry. I don't care if they are bisexual or gay. But I do care if they are I'm-only-gay-for-you, because that is very unrealistic. That just doesn't happen in real life. Maybe it's a one in a million thing. In BL stories it is so common that you get the impression it's the most normal thing in the world. I never met a person who was in a relationship with the same sex and wasn't at least bisexual. Also it's very unlikely that so many young people in a school are open about their sexuality and nobody has a problem with it. Series like "Make it Right" or "2moons" are irritating me because of this (though I somehow liked MIR). I mean, come on! There is no place on earth, where beging gay isn't difficult. If I watch my BL story I don't want to watch bullying at school - don't get me wrong. But how they handle this topic in some asian BL stories is just cheesy and unrealistic. Talking about Boundary Crossing: It seemed extremly odd to me that the brothers were showing their love so openly at the end of the series considering they were brothers (even though not blood related). That's a pretty big tabu! I wonder how their parents take this. Boundary Crossing was supposed to be a lighthearted story, and I'm glad it was. But like you said, the brothers were only included because of eye candy (especially Patrick, this guy has such a beautiful face!). The relationship feels shallow and was constantly reminding me that I watch a typical BL series where everyone and his dog has to be gay. Also why do they use most of the time hetero actors? Because there aren't enough gay actors maybe? That's the final proof that being gay isn't so common. My guess is that people enjoy seeing gay action between clearly heterosexual guys more. To sum it up: The potrayal of homosexuality is completely unrealistic in such series which normally don't bother me. I'm criticizing this series, because it was THAT good. I really enjoyed the series, I just thought the brother relationship was not needed.

After watching the final episodes with Eng Sub I think they did a great job with the main pairing. It wasn't rushed at all. You can always tell a longer story, yes, but what they did (with the low budget) was great. The brother's story on the other hand ... they could have left that out - problem solved! Just my 2 cents, nobody has to agree with me.

In general there is (for me) no need to explore the sexuality of every character in every detail. Watching ep8 I was afraid Yuhao would ask Xuan if he doesn't accept him because he is a man. I'm really glad he didn't. I just think it's irritating if everyone is suddenly gay and it's considered something completely normal. I would have liked it better if Xuan's sister would have gotten together with the younger brother. Wasn't Yuhao fighting because the younger brother asked him to help the girl? At the beginning it looked like the brother had feelings for Xuan's sister. But they had to include a second BL pairing, because apparently one is not enough :P

The way they ended it, I can image a sequel. Both couples are at the beginning of their relationship, the volleyball storyline can be developed too, we don't know yet what caused the injury of Xuan (or did I miss it?), more competitions to come, more relationship drama ... It could work. I'm not a fan of the brothers relationship (it was too rushed), but I would love to see how it plays out in the future.

I'm pretty sure everyone will be happy with this ending ;) Didn't understand a word, but it looked well done.

I must say I don't "feel" the brothers relationship. Maybe because a relationship between brothers (even though they are not blood related) is very complicated. There was just no time to develop it. It would have been nice to see how they behave at home, what kind of relationship they have to the other parent, how they felt when the parents remarried etc. Such a complex topic needs an own series. Otherwise why making them brothers in the first place? And, even though that's an unpopular opinion, why including this pairing into the story? It is not needed. I'm annoyed by those "BL rules" any series seems to follow like not including hetero pairings because people don't want to see that (I'm looking at you TWM, where Knock had a girlfriend and didn't kiss her even once!!) or that there must be more than one BL pairing (people can drool over) and so suddenly it looks like being gay is pretty common and completely normal. I still wonder if the brothers are bisexual or it's just the typical I'm-only-gay-for-you. From the main pairing I get a bisexual vibe, but who knows? It's a very good series but I wonder if they can ever step out of that typical BL storytelling and try a more realistic approach. How they included volleyball and how the relationship of the main couple developed was very nice. I had high hopes.

I love the tune they played when they kissed! The brothers story is really rushed, I honestly wonder whey they even included it in the series. Imagine it wouldn't be there, nobody would miss it. I like the brothers and they deserve an own series, but it really isn't needed and just takes the screen time from the main couple which could have a bit more development too considering the series ends in two episodes and seeing the preview it looks like Junior is crying again. This will be a last-minute-happy-end.

Yeah, I have seen it. Don't know what to think about it. This looks like a last minute happy end. Maybe it's an open end and we get a season 2 :P A girl can dream ...
