I think I will come back in nine weeks to watch the whole series in one sitting. I can't stomach a weekly disappointment…
There are people who come constantly here to this site and say things like "It's so bad" again and again and again and are killing every enjoyment others get out of this show and I'm here the bad guy? I shoudn't read the comments? And if I say, you shoudn't watch the show I'm stupid? Guys, come one! There is really something wrong with most people here. Like I said in other comments there are many shows worth criticizing, but I don't get around and bash them constantly. Critical thinker? It's not sooo bad. Everyone here seems to be an expert when it comes to storytelling. Lately I talked to a girl who had a major in literature (whatever that's supposed to be) and apparently knows everything about storytelling what's there to know. It doesn't make you smart if you feel the need to bash the show, the contrary is the case. There is some deep storytelling going on in this season and if you cannot see (or feel it) then that's on you, really. I'm a writer myself and experience this a lot. People hate on stories because they don't get them or they expect something different. They are extremely critical because the show doesn't fullfill their needs while other shows are obviously trash, but because maybe it speaks more to them (because it's more romantic or whatever) they love it. I used to write more complex psychological stories - people hated it. Now I make it as simple as possible. Guess what? They find it great. Yeah. Sure.
@Pincolino I agree on the scene when Knock was drunk woke up Fai next to him. When Korn packing his cloth and…
"Korn and Knock began and continued for a while with cheating" It's true, he cheated on Pleng, though Korn is to blame for it too. He knew he had a girlfriend (and he didn't seem to care about that at all), but nobody is doubting him LOL. Also, Knock was drunk when it happened, he didn't do it on purpose the first time. Later on Knock didn't know what to do, he couldn't make up his mind (though he tried - Pleng was manipulating him so he failed again). I don't think you can call that "cheating" like Mew did for example. Knock was confused and unable to decide who he should be with. He felt guilty and sorry (for the girl unfortunately). I just never understood the relationship with her to begin with. She came in his apartment, all dressed up with high heels like she would be ready for the catwalk, and then looked after him like some old houswife from the 50s. LOL. Maybe it has to do with thai culture, no idea. There was no passion, no emotion, nothing. Only some strange obligation to be with this woman even though he knew her only for some months. I also highly doubt he slept with Pleng since that night he did it with Korn. There was one time they almost kissed, but that was it. That was something I didn't like about TWM and I'm assuming they made that relationship look like this because BL fans don't want to see boyxgirl action (I do!). But I really think Knock is too innocent to ever cheat on Korn since they are now in a committed relationship (for years). So why doubting him after all this time? I mean, I completely understand Korn and his insecurities. I honestly love it, when he gets jealous, but I think, he is wrong about it and he is hurting Knock. Imagine someone you love is not trusting you, like he doesn't know you at all. I mean, it's not like Knock is some kind of womanizer (or mennizer LOL) who had countless relationships and makes cheating a habit. Knock is really helpless though, but I love how the characters develops. He isn't that stupid anymore. He knows when he messes up. I'm really excited about this sequel.
@Pincolino I agree on the scene when Knock was drunk woke up Fai next to him. When Korn packing his cloth and…
@Frey Harold: I was always a Knock lover, I'm now out of the closet LOL. No, seriously, everyone hates him. In BR everyone was on Korn's side, in TWM too. I didn't like Knock's behavior in TWM that much, but in BR I had always a soft spot for him. He is childisch and yes, I agree, he cannot handle stress well, but he loves Korn and he is extremely loyal. That's why the whole cheating thing made me always sad. In BR Cho&Knock happened by accident as much as I remember, but Korn suddenly got all jealous, anxious and obsessive. Knock was hurt by that behavior. For the viewer it was obvious he would never cheat on Korn. So yeah, I'm extremely happy that BR Knock is back and that they handle the storyline better this time. Regarding Tul: I really thought he wasn't into it. I'm glad I was wrong. Also Max is delivering like always. You wrote: "When Knock said that Korn might think that he is cheating when the boss tried to take him home from the bar, and when he asked if Korn is embrassed because of him when he threw up in the middle of the meeting, idk why i just felt this huge affection towards Knock in this episode y'know ????" Yeah, those two scenes were very powerful. I loved them. That's the kind of storytelling that I enjoy.
Wah...don't you do it Farm! Don't you break that poor boy's heart. You'll be no better than the doc if you do.I…
I don't think we have completely lost him to the dark side. I also feel like the actor has improved a lot. Maybe it's just me ... I admit I skipped many of his scenes in TWM, but in Next Chapter I really enjoy seeing him on screen ...
@Pincolino I agree on the scene when Knock was drunk woke up Fai next to him. When Korn packing his cloth and…
The chemistry is different this time. At the beginning I thought that's a bad thing, but no, I start liking it more and more. Somehow everything feels more real. That scene when Korn cared for Knock after he vomited, how Knock asked him if he's now embarrassed ... that really hit me hard. How Korn was grabbing his face ... holding him. Or how Knock is aware that Korn will think he cheats on him, how Korn tries not to be angry with Knock because he did drink too much again ... They are showing some growth. The conflict may be the same as in BR but the execution is different. It's interesting to see how their chemistry changed and I must say this level of intimacy they show us is really exciting even tough it's much more subtle. Tul is really acting his ass off this time. I remember when he cried in TWM on that bed after the fight with Mew I was just annoyed and not sad at all (well, I guess the script was to blame), but this time his expression really got me ... Seeing the trailer I thought cheesy and bad drama lies ahead us ... I'm not so sure anymore ... but well, fingers crossed ...
I must admit I cried a little. The scene when Knock was drunk lying on the bed with Fai and Korn ... Tul's acting was great. I'm really impressed. They are giving each other a hard time, but it's obvious how deep their feelings are. If they keep this up, I will like this even more than TWM.
I have really high standards when it comes to what I'd consider a "good" BL series. And unfortunately this doesn't…
@jadea: There are certain cliches they add because it appeals to the viewers. I'm not happy about it, believe me. The whole fujoshi thing is extreme in Asia. Think about all those game shows, where they have to eat a noodle or something until their mouths touch and in the background the girls are screaming like crazy. It's strange and I criticized it on this site before. I also remember that in TWM Pleng and Knock were supposed to be a couple but they never kissed. That bothered me a lot. There was a scene were they ALMOST did it, but no. Why? Because BL fans don't want to see it. They have to remain in that BL universe where only BoyxBoy is allowed. They added the fujoshi storyline for fun, it worked for me to be honest. The cucumber jokes ... sigh ... I have seen this before. Bananas, cucumbers and sausages seem to be popular for this kind of jokes. About the ignorance though ... in Thailand transgender woman are perceived differently than in the rest of the world. The ladyboys are well known, maybe that plays a role, maybe not. I really don't know.
TWM was only popular because of Max&Tul chemistry and their hot kissings scenes. That's it. The story itself and…
I only stated what I observed, that "cuter" stories are more popular. I'm not saying TWM Next Chapter is not liked because of the "bulky" guys, then TWM wouldn't have been a success to begin with. I just remembered that back in the day many people on YouTube said something like "I normally don't like muscular guys". And it's true, this site is toxic. I don't understand why so many enjoy hating on a series and calling it "critisism". At a certain point everyone gets it. You don't like it? We know it! Move on. I dislike series like "Love by Chance" for several reasons, mostly because I'm too old for it. I feel like a pedophile watching those young, underdeveloped boys kissing, touching - in slow motion -, like it means the world to them. Come on! Talking about anal sex like it would be a normal thing. Jesus Christ. I constantly shake my head in disbelief. I remember the sex scene in What the Duck between Mew&Art - the most unrealistic sex scene I have ever seen in my life - porn included. People loved it. But do I go around constantly bashing this series? No. @bluesky: TWM had a terrible storyline, but compared to other shows like the 2 Moons it wasn't that bad. I could write an entire essay what I didn't like about it. But it was enjoyable and there were many beautiful scenes. I mean you have to think "this is a BL show", so it's okay. But objectively speaking, this level of storytelling is ridiculously bad. If I think about good storytelling in BL shows/movies I think about "Method", "Cutter" or maybe "Sotus 1" which sometimes was surprisingly smart. But that's it. I don't really see how the Next Chapter is sooo bad compared to TWM. I honestly believe people are deceived by the many beautiful, romantic, sensual and cute scenes between Korn&Knock we got in TWM. But the rest ... oh my god. The whole Pleng plot was just bad and extremly unrealistic. It really felt like straight out of a fanfiction written by a 13 years old. How handy that there is always someone around making a picture when those two guys kiss LOL.
Why there so many negative reviews here. Geez, people are being TOO HARSH or something. To me, I liked it so far…
TWM was only popular because of Max&Tul chemistry and their hot kissings scenes. That's it. The story itself and the whole vibe was never something that's popular in the BL genre. Stories like Sotus or Love by chance are popular. Soft stories with lots of kindness, shyness, sweetness. Most poeple don't even like seeing two bulky guys in BL. I remember when TWM started many complained about it. Now, that the chemistry and their scenes are not mindblowing, what remains is not enough to please the audience. Just my two cents. I honestly don't care. I enjoy it.
7.5??? It’s even Lower then Bad Romance? SERIOUSLY?? COME ON GUYS?!! Aren’t you are TOO HARSH and QUICK TO…
Well, to be honest, I think Max und Tul aren't in their best shape, especially Tul. There are some scenes were I felt he could have done a better job. I never felt like that watching TWM. But I think it's mostly the fault of the script.
I enjoyed all three episodes so far and genuinely believe this series is off to a good start (even if it's not…
There is a lot of crazy hate and equally crazy love online. The whole world becomes more black and white with each day. That's something I'm aware since a while now. No idea where this development is coming from. I enjoy the Next Chapter as much as I enjoyed TWM. The scene were they exchanged rings and the talk on the phone in the last episode were well made. Those two scenes are one of my favorite Korn&Knock scenes ever. So don't be disheartened, it's just how the world works nowadays.
I honestly think this can be better storywise. I love TWM, but let's be honest ... The Farm&Bright relationship…
I don't know if it really was about his parents and not hurting others. I have seen the same plot in other thai dramas where one of the two boys is like "I cannot hurt my girlfriend and tell her the truth, but I will f*ck you even though it does not mean anything to me and I will hurt YOU instead which is no problem at all." I think it was like that in "Make It Right" and "Love Sick". I'm not complaining, but well ... maybe you have to be thai to understand and appreciate such a plot. For me it fells like bad storytelling. I remember that scene in TWM in the rain, after the flyers with them kissing were everywhere. They had a talk and even though Lazy Subber provided us with great subs, I didn't understand what it really was about what they said to each other. They just never were clear, is it about the parents, the family in general, about being gay, about society or something completely different. I mean, we all can guess, but they like beating around the bush. In BR and now in TWM Next Chapter Knock doesn't seem concerend about the whole gay thing at all. So if it really is true that he didn't want to leave her, because he didn't want to disappoint anybody, why was that conflict so easily solved at the end? I mean ... I really don't care that much. I'm just saying the storytelling was always a bit meh. I also remember that scene when he cried on the bed and thought about BOTH, Korn and Pleng. No idea why he cried. Becasue Plend kissed that guy? LOL
I wouldn't call them ratings, for me they are warnings ... :/
I didn't necessarily expect a fairy tale, I just thought their life would be different. Those promo pictures with the dog ... I guess it's just me, but I thought they would live in a small house (with the dog), being a "real" couple and having a couple life and different workplaces. I didn't expect they would still live in such a tiny flat (the whole kitchen is the size of a sink). Maybe most flats in Thailand are that tiny? It feels like they are still students. Are they? I don't get it, really. Are they working now or is this an internship? Seing Cho as some kind of boss is strange too. He looks too young for this role. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention. Also, what is Yihwa doing? Did she study architecture or what? And Korn&Knock are engineers like in Sotus? Because every succesful male in Thailand is an engineer? And they all work in the same place? Sorry, I know I'm ignorant.
I honestly think this can be better storywise. I love TWM, but let's be honest ... The Farm&Bright relationship…
He was pitying her ... yes, but ... I don't know ... is that a thing in thai culture? It was so strange ... he was with her for some months (I think) and now he couldn't leave her? Did he want to marry her? LOL He seemed obligated to be with her. Why pitying her in the first place? She is a gorgeous woman! There were enough men that wanted her which brings me to the scene where he saw her kissing that guy. How he reacted ... sigh ... Denying his homosexuality? I also thought that for a while, but they didn't explore that futher. He had a talk with P'Bright once, I remember. It was never clear if he thought being gay is bad or just not what he wanted to be. It felt like they tried to avoid this conflict alltogether. I expected more ... And yeah, the chemistry is different this time. I feel like Tul is not really into it. But that's only my imagination I guess :p
I wouldn't call them ratings, for me they are warnings ... :/
I think people had just the wrong expectations. Seeing the promo pictures of them cuddling in bed with a dog ... I don't know ... It looked more like this would be about a mature relationship, a married LGBT couple, about acceptance and building a life together ... at the end it's a continuation of BR with all it's flaws ... I appreciate that they didn't change the personality of the characters too much, but at the same time I thought Knock&Korn would have learned something ... but no, not really.
Lol I like to pretend that Bad Romance didn't happen. Tbh I feel like it has a low rating because this season…
I really wonder why so many people are always looking for puppy love stories. I mean, it's cute, but there is nothing better than some ANGST. Lol, I guess that's just me. But seriously, I got into BL because of the angst. I like seeing the boys all vulnerable and struggeling. That makes the happy scenes even better and more meaningful.
I honestly think this can be better storywise. I love TWM, but let's be honest ... The Farm&Bright relationship…
Korn&Knock are not couple goals. I agree with that. Watching the new season there was a moment where I asked myself WHY are they even together. In BR it was for me pretty clear they loved each other, but were insecure and unable to talk to each other properly. That's not that terrible, you can learn and grow. In TWM on the other hand I never understood why Knock coudn't leave Pleng and I didn't like how they made her evil and had to reveal to him her bad side, otherwise he would still be with her, I guess. No idea. Those two characters can both grow and change over time (there is a lot of potential), but I doubt it will go down this route. The storytelling in the whole series was always a bit weak to begin with. I enjoy it the way it is though. I mean, it's a series and not real life. If I feel entertained that's all I want from it. A relationship that's healthy, happy and perfect is not necessarily more entertaining (at least not for me). I enjoy more controversial things. Farm&Brigth ... well ... I don't think I will ever be head over heels for them, but for me their storyline is more intriguing than TWM. This time they are at least at the same level somehow. Yihwa and Cho ... I'm biased. Yihwa is my girl. I love her too much to be able to say something negative ;)
Korn and Knock's parents are quite ignorant about the LGBT+ community. And that's been bothering me a bit. They…
I wonder if it has to do with thai culture. There is no other country with so many sex reassignment surgeries. I would even say Thailand is pretty famous worldwide for their beautiful Ladyboys (not in a good way though, many are prostitutes).
