I don't see how she can't act I personally think her acting is great. I don't get why there are so many actresses…
No, I'm not. She was horrible in Family Gu Book. Very stiff and no charisma. Is she even an actress? The whole series was very childish and, believe me, I wanted to love it. The chemistry was zero. I'm well aware that many (I guess younger people) were impressed. I was not. I'm willing to change my opinion immediately if she has improved *fingers crossed*
No! Like nooo! That girl cannot act. Jesus. I really hope she improved since Family Gu Book. Lee Seung Gi is such a great actor, but without a good script and a good co-actress I will pass on this.
Is this any good? From what I have seen it's overly dramatic and dark. I appreciate a good story with meaning, but this looks like the old chinese gay movies they made years ago, before BL became "hip"
Wow. Never finished a Ji Chang Wook drama??? LOL Yeah. You know he does all sorts of different parts, is an extremely…
The only negative thing I said about the romance was that the female lead was boring. I prefer complex and more interesting characters. I never said that the journalistic theme of the background was boring or uninspired, I said that about the fact that they have a tragic past (of course the parents died or whatever) and that the past is linked togeher. I lately watched Goblin. Again, they all have their (tragic) past in common and somehow knew each other. You assumed I coudn't relate to the romance because I didn't think it's the best thing ever. I never talked about my (or your) experience. You became personal first. And yeah, it's arrogant to list your credits to show your point is more valid. I mentioned several times on this site that I'm an author but I never did it to prove I'm smarter than others. I misunderstood your many "LOLs" and "hun" etc. Sorry for that. But you didn't read my posts carefully, did you? I just don't get why you are accusing me of things I never said. After my first very short comment you responded "You just don't like Korean Drama. Period." - Like you know everything about me and what I think and like. You're jumping too fast to conclusions and you're unable to see your wrongdoing. I at least will admit that my criticism can come across a bit harsh like I don't enjoy a series at all which isn't true. Also, what you said about storytelling, stories, writing in general sounds like you were citing a writing guide. I wonder if you write for fun or self fullfilment or if you really have to make a living of it. A professional author is bothered by different things, you know? The book market is brutal. Writing a "good" book (which for you is easy to rate, like you think Healer is the best thing ever and that's just a fact and who doesn't see it is stupid) is not enough to sell it. In fact, many times the quality of literature correlates negatively with the sales. This will be my last post. I don't feel like figting with you. You shoud reread the whole conversation and ask yourself what this is all about. It got out of hand.
Wow. Never finished a Ji Chang Wook drama??? LOL Yeah. You know he does all sorts of different parts, is an extremely…
You don't seem to bother reading (and understanding) my comments either. It started all because I said I wasn't able to finish one of Ji Chang Wook dramas. WHERE did I say (for example) that I thought the romance in Healer was bad? Where? I said I didn't enjoy it that much and it doesn't deserve the high praise it gets. If I would rate Healer I would give it a solid 8.5. You're emotionally attached to the story (I don't blame you) that's why you don't like it and get offended if someone says it was not that great. You became personal first by calling me "hun" and saying you feel sorry for me. English may not be my first language, but I know when I'm talked down. THEN you told me that you're a major of literature to prove your point that you know what you're talking about and I'm not. Very arrogant attitude. So let's see what you want to discuss I didn't adress: That the background story was so great and you have never seen it before. Well, I have. I'm sorry that I don't remember where exactly. I guess not in a Kdrama though. You said nobody can reinvent the wheel. Did I disagree with that? No. Do I have to enjoy Healer because of that? No. In short: I don't really disagree with you, not even about the romance and how cute it was. Did I say that I coudn't relate to it? Where? Show me. You attacked me first and I will admit I was triggered by you saying this is the BEST EVER which I thought was too much praise. "What WRITERS will tell you. " Yeah, I wonder. I'm a writer and a psychologist. But compared to you, I know nothing about storytelling and human nature.

You're attitude is disgusting. I'm glad I don't have to meet you in real life. It's great that you expirieced such a beautiful love while 90% of people say what generally happens in dramas is not real, that's why they enjoy it - to be able to dream. That's the sole reason most stories even exist. So you experienced such a romantic, beautiful and perfect love with the result that you became a human being that feels the need to lecture others and ridicule them? You're whole post is offensive. You seem arrogant. I applaude you! At least such a love was not wasted on you. Maybe you should write a book one day and think about what you can write and not what has been written before. So your point of view may get bigger.
You will teel me it's impossible to objectively rate the acting skills of an actor? Sure, that's your OPINION. Let's not try to shove it down throats (especially when it's so wrong). Children this days ... sigh.
I like him, he is cute and works hard. But there are many better actors out there. Compare him to Ji Chang Wook for example. The difference in acting skills and charm is huge.

I wonder what makes you the expert for young romance. Btw I didn't say Secret Garden or Coffee Prince was an example for realistic young romance. I said that about weightlifing fairy. You know that nothing was realistic about Healer, do you?. Again, Secret Garden or Coffee Prince wasn't realstic either. But Healer was more a superhero movie than anything else. Funny how JCW was able to jump from a building and make a roll forward like it was nothing. And of course the two leads had a (tragic) past that somehow linked them together, becasue that never happend before in any korean drama or movie. Why are you baffled? You said yourself some people think Healer was boring.

"Best realistic young romance EVER. " I somehow can't get over that. Really? I prefer the romance in "Secret Garden", or, what i discovered lately, the friednship-to-lovers-story in "Weightlifting fairy" (if you want to talk about "realistic young love"), or the mentioned "Coffee Prince" or or or. Healer cannot be no 1 with such a boring female lead, sorry.

If you want to know what's the best Kdrama I have ever seen: It's City Hall. Good acting, intelligent storyline, no cheesy romance, no overly dramatic backgrounds for the sake of being dramatic. Talking about Ji Chang Wook: His movie "Fabricated City" was great. I loved every second. About Suspicious Partner: the case isn't suspensful, sorry. Who cares who killed that guy? I don't. I'm watching Goblin at the moment and I like it. I wonder how long ...

"You don't sound like a fan of KDramas period" Well, you may be right there. I look for realistic stories and most KDramas are overly dramatic. The backstory in Healer (the tragic past of both leads) was one I have seen in KDrama hundred million times. That's why I call it "uninspired". Also I didn't like how they potrayed the female lead as a damsal in distress later on. As a psychologist I always shake my head in disbelief how they potray psychological disorders or psychic trauma in such dramas. I watchd Empress Ki. Or I tried. The gender bender thing was ridiculous when you saw from a mile away Ha Ji Won was a woman and not a man. You cannot take this serious, can you? I prefer Coffee Prince where we all now it's just for fun. Storywise K2 was the best of Ji Chang Wook dramas I have seen until now, but how they focused on the cheesy love between K2 and Anna was not a good choice from the writers. On a sidenote: Why are you offended? Everyone has a different opinion.
Hyun Bin was my first big crush after seeing him in Secret Garden. He's made some poor choices in dramas after…
"My lovely Sam Soon" and "Secret Garden" were the only hits he ever had to be honest. Maybe he likes the script? Who knows. It's not always about success.

I'm the same as Karinna. I love Ji Chang Wook, great actor, but until now I wasn't able to finish even ONE of his dramas. It's not his fault, it's the writers fault. Dramas like Healer and K2 started out incredible strong, but became boring and uninspiring after some episodes. I somehow managed to watch Suspicious Partner until episode 9, but I guess that was it.
I'm very surprised that so many people love this. I'm biased because I'm not so much into historical dramas, but ... honestly ... isn't it depressing? Seeing how Ji Chang Wook is constantly longing for Ha Ji Won's love was breaking my heart. And even though I love Ji Chang Wook, his character in this drama was not very lovable, same goes for Ha Ji Won. She appeared so stubborn and had not much character beside that. I admit there was something about this drama that lures you in, but at the end I just felt incredible frustrated. It's beyond me how someone can finish this with a good feeling in his heart.
I started watching this drama, watched 2 episoses and couldn't watch anymore. Not sure if I am in drama slump.…
There was nothing wrong with his acting, I think it's the script. The character was supposed to be so annyoing. Later on, in more emotional and serious scenes, you can see how intense the acting is.
