Not all actually. The plot of some xianxia now is not well-made and cohesive. Even acting unlike the classic xianxia. But of course in terms of cgi, it is much better because of the advanced in digital technology.
My most recent favorite drama. The acting and portrayal of every character is on point. My dilemma with cdrama is either the plot is not giving or the acting is lifeless. But here, just in awe. Miles is a revelation. The cinematography is grand, music, everything is top notch. It’s like a slice of life drama but made it in a historical setting. So many life lessons imparted in the drama right down to the minute intricate details of the hair, costumes and with a little bit of this and that. Just the perfect balance. I Love it! The symbolism is intensified in this drama. They made the night scene very realistic. It’s dark, gloomy and forlorn in contrast with the bright morning which offer the a glimpse and promise of a new day. It is synonymous to Mudan’s plight, journey and success. I intended to not watch and wait for season 2 but yeah, I gave in when I see snippets all over the net. Anyway, Season 2 is almost coming. Can’t wait ❤️🔥
Back when the days xianxia drama are well-made. I always rewatched the 52-63 eps every year. I love this part, the ending and the angst part. Still a masterpiece along with TOPB. The ost of this drama is timeless.
