Thank you. I will put these two in my watchlist. I saw many good reviews about blossom in adversity. My problem is the male lead, I am not a fan. I hope he delivers. Legend of shenli, well I wouldn’t be surprised at all, after all it’s a Zhao Liying’s drama.

It’s very slow-burn, you can wait for season 2 to air because that will be where the love story start. If you like business-cultural genre this one is for you. This type is not a popular genre unlike romantic historical drama. If you prefer xianxia, well love of a divine tree is surprisingly good. There are not much this year that I like. The glory started good then became flat. Is blossom in adversity good? Legend of shenli?

Massive chunk is allocated for the romance. It halted the pace. That is why the ending part is crunched.

It’s 9.0 now. This is what international fans like, romantic idol type of genre with happy ending of the leads. This drama had reached 30k heat index in tencent. It’s doing well in China, but Legend of Zang Hai is no 1 in terms of yunhe and other data ranking charts in China. 6.4 douban rating and the no of raters is kind of low. Maybe it will go up, but now it is still stuck at 6.4 even though the no. of raters move up. There are other cdrama for this year 2025 who were higher at 7.1 and above rating in douban.

Chinese have different taste than international fans. The drama adaptation is deviated from the original novel.

It is still the same 6.4 with 84,280 raters. The number of raters moved up from 37,000++ on the opening.

I am not too sure though if the drama production is great in contrast with LLTG which are both Tencent drama. Yes, good thing Song Zu Er is back. She is another gem for 95 gen. This is a good drama especially if one favors romantic drama.

This drama is also a big production of tencent just that it was shelved for years. The drama highlighted the love story of the leads but at the detrimental of the plot. They tried to make it up at the latter episodes but it’s crunch time already. The motivation or drive of the villains fell short, that is why the ending felt rushed. They should have utilized the plot all through out even while the main lead couple are in their love stance.

Honestly, I forged a love-hate relationship with this drama. Like I said in my review, when you have watch different drama, it cultivates a sense of taste in you. TPOB started great, the middle part fumbled then the latter part hastened. I haven’t started the novel yet, maybe I need to. Because I read in one of the comments here that the screenwriters should have sticked and made the drama adaptation based on the novel. For the writing is well-structured in terms of plot twist, war, villain, character motivation etc. Overall, this is one of the good drama of 2025 aesthetically and romantically-wise. Made a review. Now, it is signed, sealed and delivered. An 8.5 for me ⚡️⛓️‍💥

I may be biased with Yang Zi and her drama but business drama is not my genre. I did not watch some of her dramas like her current modern ones but with Fp I thought it will bore me out but omg it was so good. A masterpiece for me. Love the saturation, close cultural depiction etc.

Good thing that writers improved the female lead character. In the first few eps of her, I was annoyed with her. She is giving me off that kind of school girl who likes to bully others. I want to watch les belles but I can’t take the female character there. They have the same vibe, good thing Ming Tan’s character is redefined. This drama is not a big production but I am glad they made the most out of it. It’s a feel good romantic-comedy drama after all.

Me too. I cant get into her acting. However, she seems like a nice person in real life. Nothing against her. But i will watch this mainly for Liu Ning. He is also wearing mask in this drama 🥷🏻🥰

It became all about love and comedy. Honestly , I still can’t go through these middle eps. But I have to, it is a prerequisite for me to understand the drama as a whole. I want to watch the latter eps because the plot picks up again.

Oh, thank you for the information. That’s a great waste of potential then. It could have paved the way for the political facet and open a lot of possibilities. They should have capitalized on this war, conquest and rivalry among nations to make the plot more intense and solid. At the same manner, without downplaying the love department . Good thing, the risk is worth it because the romance-comedy aspect is actually breathing life into this drama. Hence, I agree with you, they could have made it more into a well-rounded plot.

Ep 7, That part is still good. The middle part will be draggy.. Then, the plot will pick up again..
