That scene in E32, when the new Empress Dowager scolded her son for nice to his older step-brother (the new Emperor Zhao Xi). Her refusal when he tried to give her the tangerine…her treatment was awful to her son.

Can you wait until next Monday (11/22) for all episodes to be released ad then binge watch them?

Well, it looks like Li Qian will be framed for the Grand Empress Dowager’s death (Baoning’s Grandmother). He’s in prison…Looks like Baoning found something in the Book of Supreme Weapons. And there might be a showdown with the emperor of the Yongqing State.

Seems like they are cramming a lot of things in the last 10 episodes. Sometimes these trailers don’t really help us with the storyline. For example, watching the trailers last week, I thought in E31 Li Qian was ignoring Baoning because maybe they both came up with a plan (base from what I’ve been reading from MDL). Come to realize when I watch E31, Li Qian was upset with Baoning because she left for the Capital alone. He just wanted her to rely on him sometimes rather than being strong and independent.

Agree about the other two junior marshals, especially Su Hongchen. His behavior is not befitting of a marshal. The SML is just very righteous and does not want to wrong a innocent, even if he doesn’t like the person (Tan Xuanlin for example in the assassin’s case). I can tolerate the stepsister a bit more than the stepmother. The stepmother is just too greedy. But at least we will see something happen to her this week (per the trailers).

Actually, she really didn’t make it up. She heard it from the nun (who was a maid for Empress Dowager Cao back then). So the nun was the one who knew of what happened.

-Zhao Xi (the late emperor’s son with the maid) is now the new emperor
-Baoning is now “Regent Princess” rather than “Commendary Princess”
-Li Qian was also promoted as “Lord Lintong” and in charge of Jinxi Army
-Zhao Xiao has taken over the title “Marquis Jinghai” after his father’s death
-Baoning and Li Qian stands up for Zhao Xiao when he was about to be exiled to the north
-Zhao Xiao gets flogged 30 times rather than being exiled

E32:
-Gao Miaorong is now working for the new Empress Dowager
-The Empress (or Empress Dowager now) has given birth to a boy
-Qing An has recovered his memories but is hiding it from Dongdong thinking she will leave him
-Lin Qian has another promotion as “Lord Xin”
-Someone in Zhao Xiao’s prison mentioned the “canon rifle” device Baoning used
-Zhao Xiao went looking for “Book of Supreme Weapons” in the Palace
-Master Zhang Zeshi gave the “Book of Supreme Weapons” to Li Qian mother
-Baoning’s father somehow obtain the “Book of Supreme Weapons” and gave it to Empress Dowager Cao
-Baoning gave her parents “love token” to Li Qian, but he recognizes it dangling on a man who was talking to his mother (Li Qian was a kid then and hiding in the closet)
-Gao Miaorong told Li Qian’s father the perpetrator for the death Li Qian’s mother was Baoning’s father (Jiang Zhenying)

For those looking for spoilers see my comment below, E31 & 32 was better in terms of plot/storyline.

Since I’m done with watching Fall in Love E12 and Rebirth for You E31/32 now I’m off to watching Novoland Pear Eclipse E13 & 14. 😂

Hi there, how have you been? Glad to see we can move on after watching One and Only 😂. You definitely should give this drama a try. I don’t like Republican era dramas and haven’t seen one in over 5 years, but I decided to give this one a try. So glad I did because the storyline, cinematography are great. I went through 8 episodes before realizing the time!

It looked like maybe her previous account was revoked/cancelled and she recreated a new account with the same name. This new account of hers is very recent. Just block her again, no need to see her comments.

I am actually planning to watch the remaining episodes because I want to finish the FMV that I’m working on since the start of the drama. I have to gather all the cute scenes from our ML. I will try to post spoilers. 😂

Yes the master-disciple has been used in so many dramas, going back to as long as I’ve been watching Asian dramas. Some dramas pulled that trope off really well.

Yes I laughed at that scene too. The drama does a great job if I find the stepmother’s voice to be irritating since she’s being sarcastic as you’ve mentioned.
