As you said there’s no toxicity from him, he let her be herself and was by her side, always supporting and helping her. The fact that he can wear his heart on his sleeve after she told the truth about her identity, he is very swoon-worthy. 😂

I’ve just started watching this drama and I have to say…it’s really good. I’m loving the ML. Although Zhu Zan is not the typical good-looking hero, I’m loving his persistent and loyalty traits towards Princess Jiuling. The fact that he’s hanging on to his “first love” despite knowing her outcome is quite endearing. I like him.

We’re in the same boat as I like to read offline and I could never find epub version of the Chinese novels translated to English.

As long as Reba and Allen can stay true to personalty traits from the book, I’m ok with Allen not having blue eyes or white hair. 😂 Although, Allen’s hair does look good with a hint of blue on the ends.

I usually make fmv for dramas that I think are really good. Storyline wise this drama is just ok...However, the ML are so cute that I’m actually making a fmv of their cute moments together. I’m disregarding most of the other people in the drama 😂. Just their cute moments alone is enough for a sweet video.

I’m in agreement with you. I love both Allen and Reba and am sure they will bring great performances to the drama. I am ok with Allen not having white hair (like Dijun in ELOD) and blue eyes (like a few scenes of Na Lanyue (also played by Allen) in LaL) 😂.

With how he treated Gao Miaorong in E15, I would be surprised if Li Qian agrees for her to be a concubine. Also with Baoning’s personality, I don’t think she’s willing to share her husband.

Plus, someone on Youtube said Li Qian didn’t marry that Giao girl. Li Qian and Baoning end up having two kids at the end. I’m assuming this is based on the book. So happy ending?

Also, the previews for 21-22 don’t look like there were any wedding scenes. More scheming from that Giao girl and a few new faces. Li Qian and Baoning looked like they were fine, not stressing over the concubine issue.

I am watching this drama because I have nothing to watch at the moment. After OnO and FnE, this one will not be as engaging and interesting. I only watch the ML couple because they are cute together, everyone else I kinda skip because they are just fall in the jealousy trope.
