I really enjoyed reading the novel translation. There were certain scenes that were pretty angst and I am definitely looking forward to the ML’s performances.

For anyone who is interested, I’ve been grammar-checking the epub version (translation from WayEast) as I was reading. In this version, I’ve changed “Snow March” to Xue Sanyue to keep all the character names in pinyin to make the book consistent. I’ve also included a list of characters and italicized the inner thought parts.

This drama is a master piece, you should definitely watch it.

With all the scheming and planning….the Crown Prince becomes the Emperor. He along with the Regent captured Zhousheng Chen, who was then deboned for 6 hours. He then tried to marry Shiyi, but she cannot marry the person who killed her master and senior sister. So she jumped off the city wall in E24. The emperor dies at the end without an heir. The Regent was killed by a guard who trying to save Shiyi, but she choose to follow ZSC despite his efforts.

I was not happy with the Emperor’s ending….it was too easy for him. However, his reincarnation ends up being Zhousheng Chen’s best friend in Forever and Ever. In that drama, he was and remained loyal to ZSC, despite his initial interest in Shi Yi. He mentioned in FnE that he felt that he owed ZSC in the past life and needs to follow/help ZSC with whatever he wants.

These two dramas are a great watch for me because of its beauty. The messages in these dramas is very deep and meaningful regarding faithful love, trust, and cherishing the person you love unconditionally.

I think @WK1 and @Vera were talking about the lack of kisses in The Long Ballad.

There was only one “kiss” in Forever and Ever. And that was also just lips touching, not passionate kissing like You Are My Glory.

If she will be like the villainess from Ancient Love Poetry, that would be amazing. I truly dislike her character when she came onscreen, shows how good of an actress she is. 😂
