I agree with you. There should be some balance and what we got was only suffering and more suffering. After episode…
i personally think they shouldve had an extra episode or two. They shouldn't have let M.s Oh run away, so Youngro couldve met Soo Ho at the door and escape together. Couldve put some thriller into that escape, as the soldiers weren't stopped yet at that time. They shouldve gone abroad after that, as youngro literally has nothing left in s.korea anyways.
If it did need to end tragic, I think it could've gone like this: The old man shouldn't have met soo ho and dr kang at all, but instead disappear off the radar. Then they couldve done a time skip, and have the old man complete his mission of killing soo ho at some random day. That'd have been a better tragic ending imo.
Personally I love my tragic endings. I think they can really complete a story. I don't mind feeling dead inside for a few days if it leaves the right impact.
That being said, I think a 'happy' ending would have been better here. I think this was the most predictable outcome and they never gave us even the slightest hope of the outcome being different. Most of us came up with theories about the ending, which I think we did because we didn't expect it to be this predictable. Atleast, I know that was the reason for me. It is kinda boring that it did end up being like this.
I think tragic endings in this genre hits best with some sort of plot twist at the end. The writer should give you hope, take it away and repeat. Like a rollercoaster. I know shows where I was leaving out a sigh of relief, thinking I saw a happy ending, only for it to turn tragic last minute.
This wasn't a rollercoaster, but a linear line of tragedy instead. So I think a happy ending would have been the most satisfying. After all, meeting soo ho turned her life into a nightmare. I think the least they could have made his character do, is to make the rest of her life a bit happier.
Also, don't get me wrong though, the acting was phenomenal and ofcourse I was bawling my eyes out. Just wish it was a little more satisfying.
every now and then i think of this show and it pisses me off again. I can accept her not ending up with Harry... but ML? Never.
He is literally the most selfish and entitled ml I have ever seen. He left her and should have left it at that. No apology would ever fix that. But he didn't even come to try to apologize, he wanted romance? What the fuck. He should have respected her wish to leave behind her tragic past and live as someone new, but instead forced her again and again to admit her identity, triggering her traumas in the process.
Harry saved her life, lived happily with her for 14 years, comforted her through her traumas while being traumatized himself and tried to avenge her (which you can agree or disagree with being right). This doesn't mean she owes him her love, and I do think their relationship became toxic, but it only progressed to that when ML kept forcing his love and affection onto her. As said before, they were happy for 14 years!!! Again, whether they ended up together or not i could accept. But to give him this ending??? Nahhhhhh
I'm super torn on this, because I ship Thyme and Gorya so hard but I also want maximum angst and drama! 😠Plus,…
''I ship Thyme and Gorya so hard but I also want maximum angst and drama!'' frrrrrr. I'm absolutely loooving these sweet moments, but it is almost going too smoothly and I feel itll be boring soon. Need some angst to start now XD But I also feel like I will regret saying this
if what you're trying to say is that there are other characters that deserve the same level or even more hate, then I agree. As I said before... Gwang Tae.... makes my blood boil. Hye Ryung, her behaviour towards Boon Ok since the start was unacceptable. Some see Nam Tae Il as a comedic relief, but he annoys me to pieces. Same goes for all these high level people and their wives.
But the thing with them is that they all have been like this from the start and there was 0 hope for them to get any better. I think what frustrates most people with Boon Ok is that we had expected her to be a good person and better than most of the other students, so it is disappointing to see that she is turning worse and worse instead. That bothers people more than plain annoying characters.
There are multiple characters I dislike. I especially hate Gwang Tae. I think he should be locked up too, most of his actions go under the radar, but I don't understand how no one came after him for selfishly opening the door.
That being said, Boon Ok is just a terrible person. I don't think Ms. Pi was gaslighting her, but even is she did, do you think that is a good enough reason to kill her? She didn't show remorse either, yet Ms. Pi forgave her and is even protecting her now. There are people with a much worse past than boon ok, yet they try to be good. She is stuck in a pity party with herself.
Eung Cheol deserves more love <3 Letting Boon Ok roam around free is the most dangerous and stupid thing in this show and there has been no good explanation on why they are not locking her up. I don't feel bad for her. At all. Lost all respect the moment she pulled the trigger. I do understand she was degraded, but that doesn't equal murder and endangering multiple people's lifes.
It would be nice if it turns out to be an anthology. Maybe a separate main character? We saw in the first season…
i do think seperate main characters would def fit best. The current main has no actual believable power, intelligence or network to stop the games from happening.
It'd be more interesting to see a relative of a past contestant compete, who has a goal and perhaps prior knowledge given by Gi Hoon. Like it's 10+ years in the future and Sae Byeoks brother wants to avenge her or something.
Another interesting option would be to have a pink guy/girl as main. Describe how they face a mental crisis, try to save a contestant or turn against the organisation idk
lmaooooo💀 what about the other spy tho, he's a cutie ahhaha
i have to agree, I've only seen the actor playing 'puppy' characters, that are fluffy and sweet, before this show. This is a big change but I love it! Fits him very well
lmaooooo💀 what about the other spy tho, he's a cutie ahhaha
he literally is almost on the verge of death 💀💀💀 I'll be surprised if he's still alive by the end of the show, but their bromance is so strong. Way stronger than w gyeok chan
Many were guessing, & hoping, that there would be more physical interactions. Though the story was promoted to…
I so agree with you! My favorite type of romance.
However I now know a group of people expected something different, so I can understand the reactions. But just like you, the current romance is the one i signed up for :D
