empress interest that she is LJX adopted daughter and WL daughter so plan to marry her to prince, cause of it…
I'm having a hard time following this comment with the name abbreviations and lack of punctuation. I'm dyslexic, so this is struggle bus city for my brain to make out.
Once again AvenueX confirming why I no longer watch her reviews. The most downer of a reviewer when it comes to anything filmed well or with any kind of artistic take that differs from what she deems "great". I like her content when it comes to understanding what is going on culturally within a show or music/instrument wise, but ever since she ripped into Hidden Love I have sided-eyed her taste in dramas. Then from the jump she just straight up says Kill Me Love Me isn't worth watching after episode 3 expect to rant...okay...naw. Anything that is filmed beautifully she seems to have an instant dislike for. Am I the only one to notice this? Spoiler tag cause it is a side conversation. so if you do reply to this please put it in a spoiler tag as well as to not bog down the timeline. I just wanted to get this off my chest and wanted opinions from those who know who i'm talking about without it being directly somewhere that person could see negative comments about themselves. As I don't want her to feel badly for having an opinion that I don't agree with.
So question for novel readers. What is the inciting incident that makes Yi Ning marry into the Luo family? Is it because she had been in the household so long that she wouldn't have been able to marry anyone else?
First, i thought lady xiao is responsible for the death, then the father, then the grandmother...in a very unexpected…
It was extremely common to marry first cousins at this time so, not weird at all...just not great from a modern lens. It appears her aunt blames her mother for the death of her son(first young master). I'm not sure how the son died or even how old he was at the time of his death. But whomever Yi Ning's mother brought in as a doctor of some kind was used by the aunt/son and the son ended up dead. Add on the fact that her husband was desperately infatuated with Yi Ning's mother...yeah double whamy. If the son died around the time that Yi Ning was born it could be why she hasn't suspected the aunt until now.
17ep in & no single bored moment and it's only going stronger & stronger, no wonder they're being upgraded from…
The only time I found myself skipping was during some of the cousin/uncle scenes....& that's honestly just cause I'm not a huge fan of eating noises nor do I think calling someone with a 28inch waist fat is healthy for my mental health. Love the actress though...just personally can't handle the content of her storyline.
AYTO had some slopy writing(plotting mainly), but the performances by the actors were top tier. I think you should…
So far The Rise of Ning has exceeded my expectations. I would definitely throw a modern drama or different era drama in between before starting, as I want you to be able to appreciate both TRON and AYTO.
we only know who her father is from the novel. Seems to be going the same way. Since he will be introduced in…
Currently: The Rise of Ning(obviously), Family by Choice, Kill Me Love Me, Love in the Desert(paused, possibly dropped) 5 currently airing USA network tv shows, Plus my usual October spooky movie/show rewatches & new releases.
Will be starting: A Beautiful Lie, What Comes After Love, Dear Hyeri, Pearl Girl, Go Back Lover(maybe)
I'm an AM at a movie theater so my job is closely connected to my hobby which is multinational film and entertainment. As I work nights mostly I have movies/shows on my phone that I can more or less listen to while I finish closing duties. When I clean my house I will have things playing etc.
One of the best actors I've seen this year when it comes to silent moments or things NOT said in a scene. He's…
The lead actor in Maxton Hall will not say certain lines when he feels it could be conveyed with just a look rather than dialog. Eye acting is the unsung hero of cinema.
In most of the dramas like this, the emperor is the dumbest one. Love like galaxy and Blossoms in adversity were…
Yeah Love Like the Galaxy understood and had an extremely intelligent woman by his side to knock some sense into him when he did have a stupid moment here and there. The Emperor in Blossoms in Adversity was honestly one of the most evil Emperors I've seen in a Cdrama this year. I would need to go back over everything I've watched, but I'm pretty sure he takes the whole cake.
Zhang Wanyi Weibo update:Luo Shenyuan didn't say it, but his eyes said it (referring to the scene under the tree,…
One of the best actors I've seen this year when it comes to silent moments or things NOT said in a scene. He's able to play multiple layers and hold back when necessary.
I am finishing off ep 17- 40 Are you the one? With Zhang Wan Yi. He looks exactly the same here as in the other…
AYTO had some slopy writing(plotting mainly), but the performances by the actors were top tier. I think you should finish watching all of AYTO before kicking off The Rise of Ning.
He has a somewhat similar role in this with the hidden personalities/skills. As it's in the same time period I wouldn't watch them at the same time as you will most likely confuse his two characters with each other. They aren't filming on the exact same sets, but they are similar enough that you will question "wait did 'x' plot point happen in AYTO or in TRON? "(actually I lied they do film on the same exact set for the orphanage scene in TRON is the same exact location as when ML & FL are with the army in AYTO)
