If he never met Im Sol he would never write Sudden Shower or sing in the band(he only performed with the band to get her a new phone). He would have gone to L.A. to get the rehab that his father found for him.
In Hyuk already knew Im Sol as a follower of Taesung. Im Sol mentions the cigarette take down with Tae Sung where he first encounters older Sol in ep 13. She would still be wanting to protect Sun Jae from the shadows without being seen by him.

she mentions being back a few seasons, she didn't spend 15 years in the past catching up. she traveled back to Jan 1 2023 and has spent a year(4 seasons) trying to adjust.

Everyone keeps mentioning Im Sol's 15 years of unrequited love. The only person dealing with 15 years of unrequited love now is Kim Tae Sung. Everyone else's past has changed. Im Sol is dealing with about a year plus of unrequited love(romantic love not fan-savior/idol love). Ryu Sun Jae has never met Sol so he just be vibing, maybe feeling a bit empty inside not knowing why. We shall see once we start getting new POVs from Sun Jae.

I'm hoping that because the character are adults that we get the wedding and babies a la 'Marry My Husband' and not the 'Twinkling Watermelon' treatment.

Clearing up what is thought to be a plot hole but most likely isn't. The pressing of the watch has nothing to do with midnight itself so much as Sun Jae's time of death. In the OG timeline his time of death was zero hundred hours Jan 1 2023. That's why it needs to be midnight to travel back. Also her kidnapping/recue ends in the hospital close to midnight as he holds his broken watch and cries. (I'm about to double check the first episode again to see the exact time it flashes the first time) Okay just checked the watch first glows(that she sees) at what would have been the time of night as Sun Jae saving her from the water and fighting Kim Young Soo in the OG timeline.
In the altered timeline his watch activates at the time of his new death(morning of May 7th). So the moment the watch flashes in the water is when Sun Jae dies(imo his emotions about Im Sol are being poured into the watch to power it). All she has to do is then press the watch and that will set when it can be activated...though she might not have it and could have been sent back to May 7th 2009 before finally getting back to 2023(the watch she wears on her wrist) because the watch that sends her to May 2008 is on Sun Jae's wrist. His soul is no longer in is body, so he isn't able to travel back only Im Sol. So she might only experience one extra time travel journey before coming back to present day instead of 3.

I finally got my mom to watch the show just in time to watch episode 13. I asked her if she had any questions she said no then proceeds to make it very clear she misunderstood/misread some things in episode 13. So I spent about an hour helping her clear up some confusion. I really hope this doesn't make the more casual watchers get frustrated and drop the show with only 3 episodes left. Come on writers I believe in you...untangle this web for viewers that aren't neurodivergent and hyper fixated on the show/ show's timelines.

People still thinking that there is another time traveler is wild to me. The amount of times she's messed with the timeline will most likely cause a sense of deja vu for Sun Jae(and potentially others), but he was not sent back in time with Im Sol as his soul was no longer in his body at the time she pressed the watch that was attached to his wrist. IMO his love, longing, and regret in being unable to save(OG timeline)/stay(altered timeline) with her, powers the watch. Her wanting him to have never met her is what brings her back to 2008 prior to his love at first sight moment.

It's 12 months(She's been back in "present day" for almost an entire year, plus how ever long she went back in time before Sun Jae sees her for the first time in late April/Early May of 2008. It's been roughly 2 years since the start of her time traveling journey to save Sun Jae. I'm thinking she at least stayed in 2008 until roughly June, but will either find out later or never how long she was there.

I can't wait to see his face when he tries to announce the winner of the award only to have her drunk resignation letter instead.

I'm going to have to rename "Important Dates to Remember" to "Full Timeline(s) and Episodes Breakdown" at this point.
I'm going to hold off on adding dates in for episode 13 until I've seen episode 14. I want to get a better understanding of what to call the new time slip. But current time it is December 2023. Almost 2 years have passed for Im Sol since starting this journey.

She's the only one who knows the bops that Ryu Sun Jae wrote...🥺😭😭 She gonna be drunk singing that song off key again I just know it.

I hope they show or tell us more in episode 14 about her time traveling. But in theory...well I don't really have a theory about where the now second watch is. 😆 I'll be able to form more thoughts on it after watching episode 14....unless the writer is like "im over it we are moving on" and we never flesh it out. Which has definitely happened before, but I don't think there are as many plot-holes as people think there are.

They meet each other the same way they did when 2023 Im Sol first went back in time. Kicking ass and taking cigarettes off kids smoking outside of the gym. If she stayed for any length of time in 2008 again she would have been watching Sun Jae from the shadows.
Also if she gets drunk simi regularly in the year since she's been back in 2023 around Tae Sung, I'm going to assume this isn't the first time she's cried out for Sun Jae as though he died.
She, hopefully, would have gone to his(Tae Sung) father about Kim Young Soo, and we know by now that Kim Tae Sung is extremely observant. Even if she hasn't flat out told him she's a time traveler again, he might suspect something being "different" about her.
He's also still close with Baek In Hyuk, and it's assumed that In Hyuk and Sung Jae remained friends as well. He just would have gone to America for rehab instead of auditioning/writing Sudden Shower for Im Sol...girl is the only one who knows those epic bops...and that is a tragedy in and of itself.

Fair warning you asked and this is the first time I'm processing my thoughts on it because I finally got some sleep.

I think that she might have stayed a few weeks instead of just a few days. The package scene happens in late April or early May...He rents the VHS on the 3rd of May after returning her umbrella...It's possible that she was able to make an impression on Tae Sung within a week, cause she's Im Sol, duh.
But we never got a set reason why she gets sent back to the present time.
She also never actually jumped to the present before going farther into the past, soooooo she could have "puddle jumped" so to speak. aka go back to 2008 for a short time and get pulled to May 7th 2009 for a shorter time and THEN finally get sent back to midnight on Jan 1st 2023. With the watch being on Ryu Sun Jae's wrist when she presses it, and it not being midnight...it makes it challenging to figure out if there are actually set rules/lengths of time.

Midnight(time travel time to go backwards) could simply be that his time of death was Midnight in the OG timeline. And it was near midnight when he held the broken watch in the hospital after being too late to save Im Sol from being hit by the car. Im Sol presses it when she sees it flash...and it happens to be midnight.

When Sun Jae is in the water the watch becomes a time machine at the time of his death. So I think that the go back time gets set when she presses it for the first time.

OG timeline she's in her friend's car talking about 'how could she not realize that they were at the schools across a courtyard from each other?'...so she ends up in her high school class room across of Sun Jae's school, because she didn't realize at the time they were actually neighbors.
In this new "first jump" she's thinking that they should have never met. So she gets pulled to BEFORE they meet for the first time.
