Few things I feel confused about -1. How come just after his resignation from his band, murder happens...feels…
1. It's still just speculation around the circumstances of his death. I speculate that the CEO continued his argument from the concert at the hotel and possibly snapped.
2. He felt guilt about Im Sol because he wasn't able to save her in time for her to live the way she was before her accident. The things she screamed at him in the hospital were really rough. A lot can happen in 13 years. We have seen those who struggle the most be the ones to reach out to those they see suffering. So it's not unheard of for someone who uplifts others not being able to do it for themselves.
3. "Younger" Im Sol did not remember the last few weeks that "Older" Im Sol was in the past. So she remembers confessing to her crush with her letter and then the next thing she knows he's in front of her asking her out to be his girlfriend. It wasn't until after this that she started to realize that time had passed and she was missing a large chunk of time. People most likely noticed the difference in personality too. As she is now dating Tae Sung he would have mentioned things to her that she doesn't remember doing. Also Sun Jae coming up to her like they know each other. Yeah she's going to think she was possessed.
Kind of hoping that it's not a murder because it would be interesting if they focused on addressing his issues…
Essay level comment coming. Sorry in advance. Total understand if you see the length and nope your way out of reading it. But there were a few points that I wanted to expound on.
I don't know if I want it to be a self exist, but I also don't think that it will necessarily be a murder case so much as an accidental death caused by outside forces. Aka manslaughter without intent. There is a the possibility that there was a heated argument that was continued from the concert venue with one or more parties. He might have gone back out to get some air or distance from the person he was talking with and if he was ignoring them and not explaining why he wants to retire again he might have been shoved/pushed. The person might not have meant to kill him or they might have seen an opportunity to save their own ass by framing his death as a self exit.
I have money on the CEO of the company being the one to cause his death. He has the most to lose if Sun Jae quits. The band members could lose some things too, but we've seen how bands continue on making music even when members leave. C.N. Blue, Day6, FT Island etc. It's not exactly clear, but it seems like Sun Jae became the breakout star of the group as other members fans blame HIM for their lack of concerts and promotions because of his acting schedule. If he was the "cash cow" of the group only the CEO would feel pressure to keep him working. His bestie and the leader of the group only seemed mad that Sun Jae wasn't communicating with him about wanting to leave, not that he was actually leaving the group. His anger seemed more so that he was being pushed away by Sun Jae emotionally. I'm really hoping that we are able to see more into this dynamic in the original timeline to see how they got to this point in their friendship.
We are already seeing the ground work for Sun Jae's mental health struggles even before the music industry gets involved. He is feeling pressure from his father to succeed and provide not only financially, but to provide honor to the family. For those who don't know Olympic Medalists in South Korea don't just get sponsorships. They get grants/prize money from the government as well exemptions from military service if they are a male athlete. He takes on burdens that are not his own to carry, and keeps silent until it bursts out of him. Instead of telling his dad that he's so hurt he can't swim anymore, he tells him he doesn't WANT to swim anymore. He wanted to have what little control over his new circumstances that he could by making it a choice rather than a sentence. (that wording is weird but whatever) The character's dynamic with Eclipse reminds me a lot of how people threated Suzy when Miss A was still an active group. The amount of hate she received from people within the fandom was a level I don't think I've seen since. (Mainly because I tend to stay out of as much fandom drama as humanly possible) It does need to be explored more, but I would hate to think that just at the moment he sees Sol again, and is breaking away from the public eye and pressure that gave him, he would end things. But self exists are always complicated. It is the last stage of depression. Most people who self exist and know they plan to are the happiest they've been in a long time on that day because they feel free.
i really hope and pray it's gonna be a happy ending or my poor heart will shatter in pieces πππ but I'm…
He likes complicated/complex characters/scripts. He doesn't so much dislike HE he dislikes that they tend to be more boring in their storytelling. So projects that have tragedy are the ones he gravitates towards. As the tragedy happens within the first script I think that might have been what hooked him. Both main characters go through multiple trials so it's definitely not all fluff of your typical romcom.
Is the filming over ? if yes then i m pretty sure many celebs will regret not making a cameo in this show .
I haven't heard of any confirmed cameos, but typically shows like this one will have cameos sprinkled in. We've already had a few within the first episode with Yuri(SNSD), Han Seung Yeon(Radio Host/Idol) and Park Tae Hwan(Olympic Gold Medalist). And with the writer and the cast having close friendships with others I wouldn't be shocked to have few people pop up in the back half.
I'm so glad that so many people who were waiting to see about this drama have found edits that got them interested enough to start watching it as it airs. I love being able to talk with others watching the show to speculate about possible story points and to also get insights into cultural references that might go over a foreign viewers head. I hope the comment section can remain a positive place for viewers. As we get closer to the midway point there are bound to be more varied opinions from viewers, but I hope that we can all remain respectful of one another.
Okay so we are at episode 20's release and I can't get over the fact that everyone is growing and learning BUT MCH's mother. She just is so stuck in her ways. Always bragging about things that aren't hers to begin with. She inserts herself into business that she knows nothing about time and time again. Most of that business is directly related to her daughter's actual professional job. If MCH didn't have the wherewithal to power through her setbacks her mother would have ruined her life 10 times over by now. She doesn't know when to quit and then gets offended when she's called on her bullshit like a temperature throwing child who doesn't get the other person's toy they liked. I need YZM to put that woman in her place like yesterday. I really wanted both of her children to leave her ass and her husband to stop catering to her and see how she likes being alone in the world. But I know that's not ever going to happen. She's just so stupid and money hungry, yet she doesn't even work. She was a house wife and her kids have been grown for years. Not to mention one of those kids didn't even live with her for a solid chunk of his life. So why does she think so highly of herself? She's so stuck up and she does nothing but meddle in other people's livelihoods. She's a parasite and a leech on her children. She could have been helpful with the menu at the hotel, but she caused a fuss and offended the people that work their. She could have been humble, but nope. I rarely wish the death of a character just because they are annoying. But I think everyone's life would be going better if something were to just take her out of the picture.
So I think I found the next drama for Stephanie Soo to recap on her MissMangoButt chanel. I need her to watch this cause I can already see her kicking her feet and punching the air.
I am adoring him. But I know he's a mischievous little shit. You can't help but like him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be hit upside the head every now and then for his dumb decisions.
Theory about what might be the accident on September 1,If Im Sol was kidnapped by the taxi driver and taken to…
I used a secret mathematical code with my friend in a notebook that we would pass back and forth in class. The only way to decode it was the correct numbers in an equation. Do I know what those number are? no. Do I even remember the equation we used for this code? Absolutely not. Did I ace my math class that year? You bet your ass I did. I found the notebook and was just like "what the fuck Madeline, WHY?" then I remembered I've always been neurodivergent as hell. This wasn't the only secret code I made. There was a personal one that an entire journal is written in. I have no idea what I wrote, nor how to decode it.
I have never hit the skip button so fast in my life. I was turtling into myself from the cringe so hard I made…
Oh I'll be rewatching the crap out of these episodes because I enjoy the show so much and trying to pin point timelines. So it WILL be seen in full...I'm just going to be squeezing my pillow really tightly so I don't break anything.
The production's Uno reverse card in the 11th hour because the LEAD actor Choi Jin Hyuk had made a prior engagement(fan event in another country) with the original end filming date in mind. But because the show was so popular with viewers(BECAUSE OF HIM) the show got an extension to add more episodes. You can almost tell the moment they knew he wasn't going to cancel his prior engagements for them. If it's not in the contract he was allowed to make other plans post show wrapping. They made a psychotic villain into a simp puppy man...gave me whiplash when I watched it. I was watching this as it was airing which is why I remember all the drama surrounding it. If I remember correctly the original episode count was either 30 or 36 episodes 40 at most. So when I tell you they pivoted the plot hard in the back half they pivoted HARD. Choi Jin Hyuk's character and the Empress were supposed to have a romance. Cause he was the actual lead of the show. It's why we follow HIS character the most in the first part of the story.
lol well your profile pic lol I don't know how we survived to all those beautiful men in MJTY, but I never get…
I think having second lead syndrome only happens for me in the writing and acting are good. Also the character has to be a good person....looking at you 'The Last Empress' LOOKING AT YOU!(as how to mess up a second lead that then became the main lead) They literally did an Uno reverse card on the cast when they got picked up for more episodes and the LEAD actor couldn't/wouldn't cancel a fan event in another country to accommodate the production's last minute filming schedule. They even went back and change the character/cast order to make the second lead (who was a villain) the main lead. I'm sorry this conversation apparently triggered something inside of me that needed to be released. my bad.
I am fully prepared for this drama to give us a typically happy ending where she saves his life in the future,…
Spoilers for Twinkling Watermelon, Marry My Husband, and The Story of Park Marriage Contract below...using their stories to make a point of possible endings.
I'm wondering the same. I don't know if we're going to have a 'Twinkling Watermelon' situation where she's still paralyzed but everyone has a much better living situation than when the timeslip started. Or if we're going to have a 'Marry My Husband' situation where someone else takes on the tragedies and she relives her twenties again. Also could throw in a secondary traveler like in both of these shows mentioned. I just hope it's not the same as The Story of Park Marriage Contract, because I felt they kind of fumbled at the very end. 'Marry My Husband' had a more satisfying ending because they took the time on the Epilogue for the main couple. The other two were a bit rushed at the end imo as the didn't spend much time post climax of the the story.
I really like him too. My nickname for him at the moment is 'Adorable Little Shit'. He's giving major Aquarius energy with those smirks you want to slap off his adorably hansom face. π
Ok Girl! if my embarrassing video played like that I am never coming out of my room ever again ππ Oh dear…
I have never hit the skip button so fast in my life. I was turtling into myself from the cringe so hard I made like Somi and fast-forwarded that real quick.
Ok someone explain me, First timeline and second timeline got intertwined at some point like SunJae fell for Sol…
I'm honestly not 100% sure if we are seeing a new POV from him or if it was always his POV in 2022 in all of the flashbacks in the front end of episode 4. It's a bit open for interpretation at this point.
9. Seems like an abduction and escape situation. Like she was abducted got free and was run down with the car.
11. Girl, same.
12. Most likely a brain disorder of some kind like dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
13. She keeps hurting her knee because she hasn't really been aware of her legs for 13 years so she kind of forgets she can feel them.
15. I think we'll be getting to see that scene with the police in another episode.
2. He felt guilt about Im Sol because he wasn't able to save her in time for her to live the way she was before her accident. The things she screamed at him in the hospital were really rough.
