Title Lovely Runner Spoiler
After the first two episodes these are some questions I hope to be answered later on in the show.

Did the radio have her number to call, or did Sun Jae give them the number to call in the first episode?
Did Sun Jae recognize her on the side of the road after the concert after 15 years?
Who was the one who tried to save her when she had her accident?
Is Tae Sung still alive in present day?
Who was at the door of the hotel the night Sun Jae died? And did they play a more vital role in his death? Aka did Sun Jae actually jump or was he pushed?

Can't wait to see how their relationship develops. I love that he liked her first. It also explains why he wasn't as freaked out by her as one would be in his situation.

They never really developed his character at all. We never got a reason for his ex being hurt/injured in the flashback(cant…
I don't know if the overall show would have truly benefited from it being 16 episodes, but they definitely should have developed him more as he was such an important person to the lead leads.

So the ratings r low bcuz kids' fav didn't get the girl. I can never trust this website smh.
What I remember about this show the most is me thinking "Go oh girl...give us nothing" when watching. It was like watching a plank of wood talk to people and then leak water.
The ML and SML actors were stronger performers and it SHOWED in any scenes that they all shared.
The overall story never made any sense in the end. The concept was great, but it felt like too many cooks in the kitchen with the script. I wasn't surprised to see it as the ONLY writing credit on the writer's page. Honestly wouldn't be shock to find out it was a penname.
I honestly don't think they had a full script when they started filming, because it was bad bad.
I had comeback to this page after being reminded of it when looking into Impossible Heir. Similar love triangle and FL giving nothing.

As someone who is a lover of cinema....damn....they brought it. There is so much to say, but one thing that I think is constantly over looked in other dramas is coverage. When a director takes the time to cover shots of non central characters in a scene it adds so much more depth & context as a viewer. It's how others react to the things in the foreground that let you know immediately who is backing who. It also gives context without having to have those loooonng drawn out scenes of government officals expounding on things in dialog that personally I find boring as hell.
You know who the mains are as people within the first 3 episodes. & if you aren't in love with the show by then, there is no hope for you.
tissues recommend.

Is there any romance in this drama that is integral to the story and plot?Any kisses?
There are a few romances, but they are never the main focus(really adorable & bumbling at times). but the whole story is a love letter from a mother to her children in a way. I dont want to spoil too much, but she is MOTHER.

more into romance than genres like listed here on mdl (historical, political) but i feel like watching this bc…
I just finished it...it was sooooo good. There is a very cute romance or two in it, but I think you will fall in love with the Queen. Have an entire case of tissue, cause 🤧. It's not always going to be sad tears, but those good cry tears because it's so moving.

I've been watching 'Under the Queen's Umbrella' Moon Sang Min isn't the lead lead, but he is main role. Highly recommend and there were a few references to it in this show because a few of the actors were also in UtQU. The nephew and the Grandfather being two of them.

Could someone explain to me that why does the younger brother wants to stop their marriage as I don’t understand…
He's been working on getting power for his brother to take over the company since their mother and father passed away and they were thrown into this new world of business. As they are illegitimate children they hold less power in the company from the start. If he, Do Han, were to marry someone with no business backing behind them it could hurt his brothers chance in running the company successfully. Also he, Ji Han, was sort of...very small part...thinking that the female lead must want something from his brother. Because even though they are the lesser known illegitimate grandchildren of the chairman they are still extremely wealthy, and to Ji Han she's come out of nowhere. Plus his brother has been living overseas for 5 years, so when did they start dating? Why has he never hear of her? (Which sidenote, Do Han...baby boo, you've known her for 15 years and never not once mentioned your bestie to your brother? like damn that's harsh as hell.)
In his mind if he's able to sway Ah Jeong away from his brother, he can "save him from himself".

lurking in the comment section without saying anything or watching the show has been a fun source of entertainment for the past few weeks. Shout out to everyone who were doing valid critiques of what they didn't like/enjoy from the drama and what they did enjoy.

Oh same same. I loved the show and how the characters were developing until one day they just stopped developing at all and I was left extremely confused as to how we got where we did.

Who was her bf?
He's actually a director, not an actor...like the human is a director for a living. He directed her in a few of her movies. 🥰

I binged the Thai version over the weekend and that was so stellar in every way from the writing, to the story…
Again not the same IP. Completely different show with a troupe similarity.

Title Beauty Newbie Spoiler
I just realized we learn nothing...and I mean NOTHING about the female lead other than she was bullied as a child and she likes perfume. The end. That is everything we know about Lui by the end of this show.
Guy, he plays a Japanese sword sport, has a crap dad, absent mother, a thief of a sister, is "smart"....the end. that's it.
Why do they like each other? Beats me. He felt bad for her and then she was pretty? Your guess is as good as mine. They never actually give a reason for him to pursue her romantically.

In the Korean version FL makes ML laugh and smile while she dances to herself while he is going through an extremely hard time as a teenager. He watches her and sees how kind and funny she is. We SEE him fall in love with her. We SEE her opening up to him slowly.

HOW DO YOU MESS UP A PLOT SO BADLY? HOOOWWWW? When missing 7-8 hours of run time you would think they would have focused in on the leads relationship/friendship with one another, but you would be wrong. Because of the 10 hour runtime about 5 of those are only focused on what the second female lead is doing and feeling.

Nope, nope, nope, can not begin to nope enough.Rant with spoilers below.
I went into this show with medium to high expectations for another adaptation of a Korean &or Japanese show. 'Kiss Me' is my favorite adaptation of the 'Hana Yori Dango'/'Playful Kiss' series, so I was excited to see how they would changed things up in this one. Oh boy.....I don't even no where to start with how badly they fumbled this.

Over half of the run time is solely focused on a horrible character. The second female lead Faye. She is a horrible human and is exposed as such, but they wanted a moral of "Everyone should be forgiven" so they all still want to be her friend after she does absolutely horrible things to the female lead Lui. Lui isn't a female lead, she is a doormat for Faye to wipe her feet on.

Lui spends more screen time with the 2ML, Saint, than she does with the ML, Guy. Guy has more screen time with the 2ML than he does with the FL. This is a major problem when your show is supposed to be a romance of some kind. There was no romance...the kiss in the last ten second of the last episode looked like someone held a gun to the actress' head. I swear I think they held their breath and when their lips barely touched they were like "that's far enough" and froze there for a few seconds.

Also bonus points to the genius who thought it was a great idea for Guy's mother to have a romantic dinner with her abusive ex because 🌈forgive everything and everyone no matter what🌈
Writers....I want to bill you for my time spent watching this because what in the ever loving HELL was this? Oh gaslighting, manipulating, bullying, physically assaulting, emotional abuse...all forgiven with a simple "my bad". No, just no. Walk away. Don't interact with people like that. That type of toxic behavior does not just magically disappear because you will it so.

I'm going to stop here because I feel like cursing more and I don't know if that would be appreciated by the mods or the minors in the chat. Just as a PSA...kids...don't be a Lui. If someone in your circle is a Faye...run. Do not look back, do not collect 200 dollars. Grab your things and gtfo of that person's life.

3.5/10 because sound track, and I can't hate the actors for the bad writing and direction. I've seen them in better things.

I was so tempted to watch this but after seeing the low reviews, I’m kind of wary. I have watched My ID is Gangnam…
If you enjoyed the OG one don't watch this.
If you can completely forget that it is supposed to be the same or similar story to Gangnam Beauty, by all means go for it. It'll only take you about 10 and a half hours to watch or less if you watch it at a faster speed/skip around.
But I will warn you with a slight vague spoiler....in the last 2 episodes the main leads have MAYBE 10 minutes of screen time together total without the focus of conversation being the 2FL. The rest is completely focused on the 2FL aka the antagonist. The FL had a total of maybe 15ish minutes on screen in the last episode out of 40 minutes.

I feel like we should put bets down at this point. I feel like groom is going to be Kim Bum or Woo Bin.
I dont know why I said woo bin when I know I know soohyuk was the cameo not woo bin. adhd wins again(reading multiple articles one right after the other)
