Also I’ve always loved Meng Ziyi and she is doing so well here, but this is my first time seeing Li Yun Rui and I’ve become a completed fan already—I feel he’s quite good!
I’m so thrilled Zeng Qing Jie directs a full length drama. He is so good at filming women in a powerful and understanding way. The feminine gaze is so compelling.
I'm so tired of waiting, I don't understand what's taking them so long, they got hype during promotion and now…
I’m thinking it’s because of the war situation currently they’re afraid to seem like China is saying something simply due to the background of the film. Just my wild guess but it could make sense I feel.
Hola a todo el mundo, saludo en inglés, pero mi comentario será en mi idioma español, de España porque soy…
Hey Neighbor! I'm next door in Portugal--but I can understand Spanish even though I speak Portuguese. I think your comment is asking a good question and I am writing in English since it seems most people didn't even bother to read what you said at all. I am 31 but I think a great deal of users here are in their teens/early 20s. In particular Seven Tan draws a lot of hate online which baffles me because I think she is dynamic, adorable, and skilled. I think there are little 'water armies' trying to invade and lower the ratings o some dramas but I think that happens everywhere. I am only at episode 3 but I am enjoying the drama a lot--I love seeing people fight against the corrupt and try and build themselves up again.
Jiang Ci is one of the best FL characters I’ve seen. She’s so complex yet real. Her emotions and rawness, but then devotion and self sacrifice is so inspiring. I love how she stays true to herself always.
At least with Edward Guo as a director, even if the storyline goes astray (I don’t think it will of course) it will undoubtedly be cinematically beautiful!
I love his work so much, despite him not being the nicest person 😅
The storyline is insane, but the acting was impressive. I rated it an 8 because both ML and FL acted so well it puts a lot of bigger name actors to shame.
Ahhh I’m in love with this drama, novel, world! I’m enthralled by Miao Feng—he’s got a hold on me like Xiao Xingchen from TU. Such a beautiful story. Brb on my way to go write Miao Feng/Zhanbai fanfics 😅
The interesting fact that Miao Feng and Miao Shui given the same surname by the villian were actually real siblings…
I love the aspect of ‘mirrors’ so to speak throughout the show. Both Shan Mi (Miao Shui) and Zi Ye were orphans, but taken in by different people. Both of their brothers were turned into killers, both sisters were polar opposites but in the end their hearts were the same: they’d die for their baby brother💔
Thanks for that interesting info about the Chinese translation although I don’t quite understand how 7 nights…
Ah sorry! It’s because the main events that change the entire trajectory happen over seven snowy nights. I think this is where the drama wasn’t quite clear as the novel. Also the play on words seven like Zhan Bai’s name in the sect and Ye like in her name Zi Ye “Qīyè Xue”

Maybe he gifted them but it still seems brutal🙈
