Just finished the show and I feel like it's missing an entire episode lol... I mean, I know c-dramas tend to rush the endings because of the episode constraints, but like wtf was that?! However, despite the awful ending which managed to make me bawl my eyes out, this show followed a template that's never failed in the past, and it's followed it perfectly. What a lovely and entertaining show. Absolutely in love with all the characters!
I'm on ep 25 and I must warn you, this is a bit too much of a slow burn lol However, I'm yet to watch a boring scene, and despite the slow burn, the romance is very much prevalent. However they first kiss, if I remember right, in ep 23.
Lol 10 mins ago I was just going to comment that their chemistry is crazy, but the blush they have on their face is crazier, and then the honey scene happened and now I don't know the purpose of honey in this world anymore....
Sang Yan has potentially destroyed any and every male lead for me.... The dedication he had for WYF rivals anything and anyone I've watched so far... If anyone has any recs for shows with super dedicated ML's or FL's, please reply!
Does anyone know how old WYF's 1/2 sister age is? I'm confused because her mother got pregnant with that sister…
I was a little confused over this as well, but I believe the one who you think is WYF's half sister is in fact just a step sister. I think she's the daughter of the man WYF's mom married...? I could be wrong though
Came here after rewatching the balcony scene in ep 8 like 3 times cause the chemistry is OFF. THE. CHARTS!!! Goodnesss, my poor soul is ready to jump off that very balcony...
What a beautiful show! This was a show about loneliness, loss, friendship, companionship, and disease, than about love and finding it. It's about coming to terms with life even without love in it, and what an important message that is to spread!! I think we live in a world where we end up lonely when we don't find someone to share our life with, and this is a show about accepting that reality many around the world live in. And I think it's so emotionally validating watching this show during a phase of your life when nothing seems stable. Absolutely adored the story, and the message this show conveyed. Nam Yoon Su is a legend for pulling this off!
While this show is a no-brainer entertainment fest with all my favourite actors.... Who is Kim Ji Uk lol? He's all over the place. He was one of the foster kids, the convenience store worker, the husband, an employee, and now he could potentially be related to the company? XD WHAT?
Okay.... why was ep 4 just... so bad? It was so pointless and unnecessary. The acting, all of a sudden, is bad. The sound effects, editing and music is terrible (especially since the first three episodes were soo good). The (u know what) scenes were unnecessary. While I don't mind a few love making scenes in a show, if there's no plot at all that requires it, it seems so odd. It makes me wonder if the director took off for a few days during filming and had someone off the streets take over. Or maybe they're just that bad at continuing a story. I do not for a second blame the actors. But... the show managed to go downhill with just an ep.
They never met?How is Ko Hansu's character portrayed in the novel? He sexually assaulted Sunja and manipulated…
after watching the whole 8 episodes, I don’t understand my own comment now lol…I guess when I was reading, I pictured him to be manipulative and controlling rather than a full on assaulater. but at the end of the day, he is a very very grey character. He was there for barely 50 pages of the whole novel, even though Sunja thought of him often. However, they made him a main character in the drama which annoyed tf out of me.The way the book is written, it leaves it to us to judge the characters. In the book, he’s almost 30 or slightly older when he sleeps with a 16 or 17 year old Sunja. So yes, he’s very manipulative and maybe even a perv. however, was it SA? I don’t think so. wasn’t portrayed that way. He kind of has his redemption arc that no one really buys into… He does good for most of the novel, but how does that matter when you royally messed up in the beginning?
