All the comments this week were about excitement for the upcoming episode. Is that how it always is week to week? Or is it, specifically, because we anticipate Vegas and Pete's story finally happening?
He weighs 65 kilograms and he is 175cm tall. His blood Type is O and his star sign is Capricorn. His favourite…
Lol, now that's better than Wikepedia! Where did you get all this info? From interviews? I could not find anything on him online.
BTW, I knew he would be short, but you say he's only 5'6 and 140 lbs, and that's even smaller than I'd expected. If he's that small and the others are only a couple of inches taller, then it means the whole cast is very small.
All I want to see is Vegas. I am hunting for info on Bible and can't even find a Wikepedia page for him. Anyone know how old he is? Is he married? Straight? So far I only that know he's wicked smart, trilingual and studied mechanical engineering. Oh, and we all know he's lithe, lean, elegant and simply beautiful.
When Porsche used that inhaler before his street fighting match. I think that was the time where I most felt like…
Yea, that's the one I mentioned in my original post. I did not notice any others, and that's why it's good. We get multiple episodes in a row with no freaking product placements.
The cheese one in ep 4, where they were eating hotpot
Wait, you're right. Still a helluva lot less than other Thai BL's. I don't get why the Japanese and Korean's can do a show with no product placement, but the Thais can't.
Ep 7 and I have not seen one product placement since ep 1's where Porsche held up a tube of chapstick during a fight competition. That's it. The other Thai BL's are annoyingly stuffed full of them. It interrupts the suspension of disbelief, such that you are suddenly pulled from the story and reminded, "Oh, that's right this is just a show. " Worse, such BL's are proxy commercials. They knew K/P, on the other hand, would generate enough money on its own appeal.
Anyone else notice there's not a single woman in this entire show, eps 1 to 7? Not even an extra. Not even an allusion to woman. Even the "female" bartender is really a man in drag. Dang, how do people procreate in the Kinn/Porsche land?
Just read Bible's bio. The guy majored in Mechanical Engineering which is as hard as freaking astrophysics. He's unbelievably smart. He speaks English and Thai both (and mixes them in an adorable way I call "T'english"), as well as a bit of German. I love everything about him, even how he's so slender bodied and sleek. More of him please!
How to get Over Vegas:1. You don't2. You won't3. you can't4. Don't even try 5. You really won't6. You just can't7.…
He's slender, small and lithe. Very elegant. I also love how he dresses his character in those velvet shirts that give Vegas more of a sleek and dangerous look.
And let's talk about wicked smart that man is in real life. Even in the show you can sense it. He's always flipping back and forth to English and Thai. It's his mixed brand of Tenglish.
Love ya Maggi, but the VegasPete "story" isn't up on the screen yet. There needs to be a separate BL NOVEL web…
I know language matters, which is why I am critical of some translations and note when others work. This girl doing My Beautiful Man is impressive. Of course, that is a smart show to begin with. It attracts a very different fanbase that K/P.
I saw it on Viki, which alas, is the channel that does not pay its translators despite charging us. It's really kind of gross. I don't know why more don't complain. I have sent them a message about it. It's not cool.

Translations on wattpad are, granted, awful. Translating is an art. But they are fans doing it for free and this shit is all fluff anyway. I really just dig the idea of a rapist turning on his masochist lover. No American would touch that plot . But the idea of an evil dude being fascinating is up my alley.
Otherwise, yes, with bad translations you have to do the work of filling in gaps. I will give it to some translators though. For instance, there is a Japanese woman translating My Beautiful Man and doing a wonderful job. There is flowing prose, nice word choice, full meaning and really, just a quality translation.
The thing about translating is that it is an art. At Columbia, we even had a whole major for translation. It was its own Masters Program. It was a kickass discipline too. I never knew people translated for free till the Internet's Wattpad. The internet has changed everything.
