Some people have commented on how the "American style" office place is not really like that. But Choi Jun didn't mean the office so much as American style in general. We have a very casual, relaxed culture and will hug people we barely know. Our speaking style is also very direct and doesn't recognize formalities, whereas Asians use honorifics and European Romance languages have a formal and informal pronoun for "you."

I just saw the recent episode of Minato's Laundry where Shin introduces Minato to a friend, and the friend immediately hugs Minato. This, of course, strikes Shin and Minato as odd. Then Shin explains, "Oh, he was raised abroad." Now, it drives me bonkers when Asians say "abroad" but don't specify the country, but I'm going to just assume he meant America because we're the only ones who hug even strangers.

lol, Even a bus ride sets it off! Poor things. They must be having constant erections and always embarrassed or afraid of everyone seeing it. Yep, that was "You Are the Apple of My Eye" with Kai Ko, who's the actor from "Money Boys." But "Apple of My Eye" was made in 2011 so he was much younger. OMG, the young casting truly does add to how unrealistic it all is. I looked up the actors' ages and the one playing the General Manager is only 22. That's how old people are when they are seniors in college. So that character would not have had enough time to graduate, look for a job, get a job, and climb up the corporate ladder. He'd be in his 30's before that happened.

Are you talking about his comment re "I Told Sunset About You"? If so, I don't think he meant produced outside of Thailand the country. Volume 2 has a lot of sex scenes and in one Haeboom says that Taesung "Is very big....for an Asian." I thought, wow, an Asian women wrote this and she's using a qualifying phrase, "for an Asian" to indicate that the average Asian man is small.

I dropped Minato's Laundry after ep 2. I couldn't handle Minato's sexual frigidness and his hysterical avoidance of any tender touch from his own boyfriend. If you compare him to the sexually voracious boss in this show, well, let's just say I can see why you're also dropping the show now.

I think they're not complaining about sexual harassment because the show is so over-the-top that they know the director/writer did not take it seriously. Therefore, the viewers don't take it seriously either. It would be pointless to complain about a serious thing such as sexual harassment in a show that's clearly designed to be silly.

After all, the behaviors are so exaggerated as to be caricatures -- ie, the Boss is a caricature of the suave, knowing, powerful sex machine, while the Intern is the clueless, innocent damsel in distress. If you look at that way, the show's fun.

But, hey, maybe I'm speaking too soon . Because there's still time for some self-serious twit to come here and complain about sexual harassment. lol

What is the biological explanation for the morning boner? Specifically, what happens in a man's body during a night's sleep that would cause sexual arousal?

You just have to turn your brain off and have fun with this show. I can tell that the director and producer didn't intend for anyone to take it seriously. I bet the crew was even all laughing while filming some of those scenes.

They don't regard it as office behavior so much as that Americans, in general, are direct, forward, open and don't recognize formalities. After WWII the Europeans used to call us "Loud Americans" cuz we didn't have their Old World manners (America is a new country compared to European and Asian countries). Europeans were kind of snobbish and disliked our guileless, direct manners. Asians, on the other hand, like American directness.

Yea, it's a matter of taste and what your type is. For instance, I thought the boss, Nozue, from Old Fashioned Cupcake was cute, but a friend thought he was mediocre looking.
