Wait, I saw only 2 men -- the boss and Lee Jun's friend who got him the job. Who's the third?
Thanks! But I don't get why all these guys like Lee Jun. I find him average looking. It's the boss and that guy looking at Lee Jun's idol video who are hot.

Ok, so you guys know he likes Lee Jun based on the teaser. Because all he said at the end of ep 3 was "Who is this guy? I haven't seen him." He didn't say anything to indicate he was hot for him.
Seriously! I have had the same thoughts. He must have repressed his sexuality to the point of being dumb and numb.
Right? It seems the director doesn't want viewers to find the show believable and, instead, to turn our brains off and just have fun. Because it really has been fun!
In the break room the boss called Lee Jun cute; pulled him in so closely their hips touched; told him he wants to take care of him; and he wants to give him his smell so that, as the boss said, "You'll be mine." At Lee Jun's house the boss pulled Lee Jun onto his lap and proceeded to get a hard-on . Yet Lee Jun STILL does not get that the boss is in love with him. Lee Jun is so clueless that at this point if the boss ripped off all his clothes he'd ask, "Oh, do you want me to take a bath?"
Yikes, Ep 1 is only 13 minutes long! I'm shocked that the producers actually put out a show with episodes this brief. It's frustrating to be teased with a short experience and then wait a long time for a little more, and a little more, and a little more. People think, "F*ck this, I'll just wait until it's over and watch all the eps at once." Hence, few will watch this at the same time that it's airing which means, accordingly, low ratings. When K-BLs are this short they release 2 eps a week. And then there's Blueming, which had mere 10-15 min eps, and those producers understood that it was better for ratings to release them all at once than to tease viewers who will respond by not watching it while it's airing.
Guys, I just started a Discussion Group under the title, "Is Stay With Me a BL or a Bromance?" I happen to believe it's a BL, but welcome differing opinions. So all are welcome to join the discussion. You'll find it under General Discussion.
What happened to the score?? It's was 8.3??We've got haters?
An 8.2 is still pretty high for a BL. There are many excellent J-BLs, K-BL's and T-BL's that are merely in the 7's. In fact, the only BL's that always get 8's are the Th- BL's. And that's because their primary production company, GMMTV, has an enormous promotional machine, including marketing companies that create bots to enter high ratings on all the review sites. This is why I don't trust ratings for any BL coming out of Thailand.
I thought the same thing you did when you said that if there's a kiss why did they skirt it so long. After all, in the book and in the show Addicted, Gu Ha's confession happens right after they discover they are step brothers.
The fact that it didn't happen yet in Stay With Me is why I was convinced that this was a censored BL, and that the director was going as far as he could to show boys in love without actually saying it. You know, when a show is all coded. Although having Wu Bi say, "Su Yu's mine" was not coded at all and very direct. But the rest are things that would slip under a censor's radar. So, yea, like you I had assumed there'd be no kiss. But 2 people provided a link to an interview with the kid playing Mao Chong and he said there'd be a kiss.
But maybe that was just a tease to boost ratings. Or maybe the translation was wrong. Who knows. But like you I am still not 100% convinced it would happen. However, I think the fact that this actor even said it is more proof that the director and cast were consciously trying to depict boys in love , ie, it's a BL not a bromance. It's a "neutered" BL as you said, and it's annoying that it's been neutered, but the signs are there nonetheless.
Oh, and I also preferred the original Addicted. :)
Yes, they had a New Year's dinner in one ep and the dad welcomed the New Year as 2006. You can also see that they…
OK, so 2012 + 8 years brings us to 2020, which is almost to the present. But if it's from 2012 why set it in 2006? The time period for the setting still doesn't make sense to me. But I guess it's cool cuz other than the flip-phones it could be the present so I just see it that way.
