I like that Jae Won had an issue seeing himself as gay and had to go through a process of self-acceptance, because it's more realistic. So many BL's have a guy flip on a dime with that old trope of "I'm not really gay, just gay for you." Sorry, but it's a big deal to go from fondling soft, pliant, smooth flesh with mounds of fat deposit in the chest to fondling hard, muscular flesh with facial hair plus hairy arms, legs and underarm hair .

With really short shows I always suspect scenes were left on the cutting room floor. Our Dating Sim, for instance, was only an hour and a half total, and had some leaps where a scene felt missing. But this is 10 eps of 40 min each. That is 7 hours of narrative space so they have the time to develop these things. But, like you, I am enjoying it so much that this is a minor criticism.

They were together for 2 years which is a long time to see things. Even if a person is nice to you, yourself, you can see how they treat others. Yea, Ji Hyun played it perfectly by not pushing him or demanding an explanation . But sometimes Ji Hyun is too passive. For instance, I wanted to see him stand up to the ex-girlfriend from hell, or at least tell Jae Won that she had harassed him at his place of work.

Yes, she's awful. But I mean it when I said it doesn't say anything great about him either because he chose her. I get annoyed with men who don' t recognize a bitch because they are blinded by a pretty face.

It doesn't speak well of Jae Won that he dated a girl with such a rotten personality. It means he chose a partner based simply on a pretty face. I know he split with her because she cheated. But the reason should've been that she's a vindictive, cold, calculating bitch.

Great episodes. I am loving it as much as everyone else. But I do have two teensy tiny critiques.

First, I wish there was a clearer prompt for Jae Won lunging at Ji Hyun for that kiss. He was saying, "Hey, you finally called me hyung" to which Ji Hyun says, "We are supposed to call seniors....." and Jae Won cuts him off mid sentence for a kiss. It was an odd sentence to prompt a kiss. And Jae Won's facial expression showed no special interest at that moment either. They at least should've had Jae Won staring at Ji Hyun with a look of longing for a moment before the kiss.

Second, we are missing development from when Jae Won was ignoring Ji Hyun and experiencing "gay panic" to his suddenly accepting the relationship. We need to see what process Jae Won went through to arrive here. After all, there are 10 eps of 40 minutes so there's plenty of time to show the development of gradual acceptance. As it stands, it felt like a scene is missing.
