It truly is more LGBT than BL as many have said below. And to those wondering what the difference is, well, it's about tone and sensibility. BL's are tonally light, and what many call "fluffy." This, however, is somber in tone. The looks the boys give each other are weighted and fraught with a deep, serious kind of attraction. Moreover, cinematography is different in a BL than in an LGBT. It's brighter in BL's, giving characters a younger, innocent look (although the Koreans go too far with this and use a filter that gives characters overly smooth, pink skin). In an LGBT the cinematography is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, evoking the sort of realism usually seen in Indy films. In short, this feels like an Indy LGBT film.

It turns out that there are 2 versions. One is a 2 hour movie and the other is a 10 episode show. I am baffled by this, but it's why so many were confused about the show's length.

See XYZ111's new comment. Because I am not "wrong." In fact, it turns out that we are both right. They did release a 2 hour movie version of this in Korea. That is why so many people have conflicting ideas about whether it's a movie or a 10 ep show .

Finally, an explanation as to why some think it's a movie and others think it's 10 eps! I have had so many people give differing accounts that I was baffled. But damn, how could they cut out 3 hours from a 5 hour show without it sacrificing all narrative logic. It would lose fans and thus give bad word of mouth for the series. It just seems a bizarre choice.

Yes, he did say that. At any rate, I'm just happy to be getting more of them. I prefer the side couple to the main. That happens sooooo often in BL's.

I doubt they'd base a whole intro on a minor character like a brother rather than a main character like a lover. Or that Jae Won would stare at an empty spot with a lover's look in his eye if it had been held by his brother. But you're right that something did happen to the brother cuz Jae Won stopped talking about the brother mid sentence and looked sad. We should get more on that as the show goes.

The intro shows somebody drowning and shows Jae Won sitting beside Ji Hyung, then suddenly sitting alone staring at the space where Ji Hyung used to sit. At first I thought it might be Jae Won's brother who drowns cuz Jae Won began talking about his brother but stopped mid sentence and looked sad. But during the show it's mentioned not once, but twice that Ji Hyung cannot swim. So it all adds up to Ji Hyung drowning.

It's got as much love as Our Dating Sim got, while it's very different in tone and sensibility. That was cute & cuddly while this is serious. Even the sexual longing between the leads feels serious. You really got to try it.

I thought that it would be the brother dying initially based on the same thing. But then why would a show portray so much about a side character such as a brother? We see a drowning in the ocean when no brother is ever surfing with them, we see Jae Won sitting beside Ji Hyung and then suddenly sitting alone staring at the space Ji Hyung used to have. As for the brother, I suspect he'll come up later to explain why Jae Won ceased talking about him mid sentence, but it won't be a drowning.

Re-watch the intro because it's all there. First, there's the fact that Jae Won is sitting alone staring at the spot Ji Hyung used to have beside him. Second, there's the sound of the ambulance siren in the background. Third, they show somebody drowning. Fourth, we got foreshadowing that Ji Hyung would drown with the multiple references to how he can't swim. No way around it, dude is gonna die.

This is the best BL I've seen, and would be perfection if not for the drowning that we know from the intro will come at the end. But hey, it's directed by a German guy so we should've expected an angsty ending. Hell, the etymological origin of the very word "angst" is German. They are not known as a happy people.

Agree, nothing remarkable but it was nice. Then again, I'm comparing everything this week to the new BL, "The Eighth Sense" which is amazing. And I'm not alone in this cuz there's unanimous love for it on its MDL page.

We should get that steamy kiss from Tattooed Hottie cuz the kiss in You Make Me Dance really was good.

Anyone else suspect Spy Kid's colleague is up to no good? Although I'm not sure what he'd gain from it. I mean, he's got Spy Kid going into CIA espionage mode as if there's a world peace at stake when all we're really talking about the boss liking some clay pots.

I almost look forward to you hating a show because you are so funny when you go full on sarcastic. I'm still laughing at last week's line about paper lanterns falling into the sea to choke a dolphin and Spy Kid only sponging half of the Potter's face. But as funny as your hate-posts are, I must agree that the show got much better.

Wait, when did Tattooed Hottie start liking Cafe Guy??? Last we saw Tattooed Hottie looking at an old pix and reminiscing about them back then playing with a plush toy vending machine. And -- wham -- next thing he's asking him out. Well, maybe all that arguing at the start of the show was a sign of repressed sexual tension. Humm....

I hear you, but Cambodia, Myanmar, etc, don't have much of a film industry. Vietnam's film industry is pretty healthy . I mean, it's not up there with some East Asian countries, but it's there. They also do tons of BL's. Indeed, when it comes to BL's they are clearly trying to catch up. There are Pinoy BL's too, but they are god awful. The Vietnamese, however, have some decent ones (eg, Follow My Sunshine).

Ah, ok. I double checked other shows that all had 6-8 eps listed, but I guess those shows are all finished. At any rate, I hope it's 10 eps cuz it's a good show.

The episode number is baffling. You say the Official Youtube channel indicates there are 10 eps so that seems pretty solid info. But I just googled around and Viki says it's 2 eps (ie, this week and next week). Then there' s a trailer in which we've already seen 2/3 of the scenes, meaning there's not much left we haven't seen yet. Also, it wasn't just one person who said they heard the director say it's a feature film cut in half, but 4-5 people. So who the hell knows at this point.
