If you like teamwork, character developments, plot twists and some comedy, then yes. Definitely worth a watch! I would recommend you to start with season 1 as well, just to get yourself familiar with the characters and background stories
The synopsis here was based on the novel, but the drama changed quite a lot, that's why ๐คฃ
In the novel, ML is a reincarnation of a God of War or was somehow related to one iirc, but it was only revealed near the end (?) I am not too sure about this, could have mixed it up with other stories ๐ But yea, I agree with you that the original story seems more interesting than the drama

S2 is garbage if you are expecting it to be same as S1.
It's ok so far. I had very high expectations on this and it certainly did not hit my expectations, not even close for the first 11 episodes. But nowhere near garbage either ๐ and I think it actually started to get better from ep 12.
If you watched YB1, and expecting this to be the same, you might be disappointed ๐ YB1 story was divided into a few arcs and this story is like one (or maybe two?) big arc, so it feels a little slow especially in the beginning. It had just done with introduction of characters and Xia background so far imo, the pacing started to pick up on ep12. The plot twists are still there in the drama, so I am enjoying it so far.
The main problem I have with YB2 is its directing. The directors were not that good in capturing comedic moments and the change of filters to a darker color tone did not help. Rather than using camera languages to deliver the comedy scenes, the director chose to use background music excessively, to a point that I thought I am watching a fmv rather than a proper drama ๐

I saw somewhere on Weibo or BiliBili that Steven Zhang will be on the other variety show of YB2 (ๅคงๅฎๆขๆกๅฑ, if you are curious). They haven't begin filming that yet iirc, so it's just rumours so far. Based on its name, seems like it's gonna be about investigations, something like Who's The Murderer (?) I hope ๐
