Yeah but they throw in a whole load of villanry, in the novel it’s just peaceful and sweetness and they both have a time of contentment. There’s none of the thinking hes the enemy either, she actually overhears the Shi guy saying she’s SJ’s other half so the tone is completely different. I get its for TV though

The SiMa clan are all destined to die due to their superior bloodline and absorbing 2 fires sped up his death so he spent his last days peacefully with her, he didn’t tell her he was dying. He conquered and killed all their enemies and set her up for life as demon ruler. Before he died he transferred his power, blood and fire (which he tamed) to her. O and in the novel MuYu and her master and fellow colleagues are real, he sets them up nicely and they become her mother home. All very sweet as he accepted his death. She then saves his soul hurting herself and reincarnates him.

The novel is HE. But not sure what they will do in drama. Also u should watch lighter and fire or evernight too if u like him.

They still have the human arc to cover. I agree though, novel ending to this demon arc is a lot better. Takes away from SJ a lot doing it this way

It does steal some troupes from fairy and devil, and also TTEOTM and a line from scarlet heart (but they all steal a bit from each other now) but 6 episodes in and it’s very good, chemistry is spot on :)

In the book, in a former life it was the cousin who married over. She failed to win his love and he slaughters her whole family in revenge eventually. Lady Yulou becomes empress.
