Yes but the son could speak to the father and the father could listen to the son unless the father would not tolerate this (We haven't seen much of their relationship.) Not having full power does not stop him from speaking.

A few of us ranting today. See mine above - or is it below?

So, at the end of ep. 6 / beginning of ep. 7 the FL asks, "Is there something (that) you haven't told me?" ML didn't even ask her what she was talking about. FL, instead of asking something like, "Why did you / your mother steal my child", or, less dramatically, is *** my son?" she waffles on about something insignificant. Now, I grant you, this IS a mature drama with mature, intelligent, well-adjusted leads but what the 'ef' was that? - She just 'screamed' passivity' in this scene! I appreciate that she might have started to formulate some sort of plan, but could not we, the audience, be treated to a tasty tidbit? A mouth-watering morsel? A glimpse of an emotion which would belie this seeming state of inertia on her part.

My second rant of the day - both on MDL! What with the dragon prince in Dragon King's Decree and now this...!!!

What is it with this dragon prince? Can he not just tell his father why he thinks that the FL is the real war god / goddess? As for the father / king? The typical archetypal, angry, not very wise, narrow-minded, I-favoured-you-but-not-anymore-because-you-won't-do -I-say bull****! The father who never knows that the 'other' son, in these dramas, is as wicked as the demons that they fight against. Sigh! And what is with that stupid, even chauvinistic, male bird?! Does he still think that the FL is JUST an unworthy human female? Amongst other things, has he no inkling about her growing powers? If the female bird knows, she is not saying anything. Does the director have his head buried up his fundament?! Rant! rant!

Nor I. There is nothing online about the result of the arrest. And having three young granddaughters of my own, I don't want to watch him if he sexually assaulted anyone. It is important to remember though, that sex or intimate contact with a willing minor just a few years younger* than the male himself may be a statute crime - but only becomes morally wrong depending on ones viewpoint / culture / upbringing. (Compared to a much older male who is taking advantage and should know better - that is definitely immoral.)

The boy is the son of the leads. The FL was told that the baby died. The doctor who delivered the baby may or may not be involved - we'll have to see.

I don't know about that as I have not seen the trailer but ep. 5 (or 6?) gives some hints about blackmail and the death of ML's brother (?) related to the FL's family.

I don't know that either the ML or the FL are 'beyond redemption' as you say. I am not quite sure why you say this, but I need to watch more to form an opinion.

Episode 5 or 6 hints at reasons why the ML's family would not let the two marry. The two families were connected and had some bad history. That might add to any angst.

J@Indonesian) Addressing one of your later points, in Episode 5 or 6 there are hints that the two families were were connected in another way; that the ML had a brother who died (perhaps?) and blackmail was involved. Also, (not mentioned in this episode but supposedly mentioned in a trailer) that there was a rape (by and of whom, I don't know). The ML's family would not let them get together because of it.

@esvar: It is not called a drama for nothing. Would you be content to watch uneventful material over and over again in different dramas? If the ML and 2FL were to stay together without other plotlines being allowed to develop and unfold, it would be finished in two episodes - if that - because people would drop it, otherwise.

Have you watched episode 5? (or was it 6?) Where there were hints about a past connection between the two families - something about blackmail. Also, it seems that the ML had a dead brother (because he, the ML in the flashback, was saying that he, the other, the dead one (?) was allowed to get away with things but he, the ML, was expected to be obedient.)
