I don't specifically look for angst in a drama (that would not be healthy) but I don't run away from it, either! Thank you.

I read the long reviews and many of the comments here but have found nothing about his 'blindness' as mentioned in the SYNOPSIS. Is he going blind or does he become blind by the end of the drama?

I don't know about this particuilar drama because I haven't watched it, but I find that Bilibili or Dailymotion (depending on both the uploader and the particular episode) can more often than not have better subs than IQIYI, which is where I go if a drama is not on Viki.

No worries — I don't believe that you really think that she is stupid but that you found her choices frustrating to watch. (And I did not for one minute think that you disliked her - quite the opposite. You are feeling responsible for her on some level but you need to detach yourself.) This is just a drama, after all.) I just wanted to highlight that her motivation comes from her own work ethic/ self respect and desire for professional approbation, not from loyalty to either company.

Liyaa: So, if someone has a strong work ethic, they are stupid are they? Your perspective seems a little skewed. If one has a bad work ethic, it serves only to reflect badly on oneself. And, given that she 'forced' the VC of the other firm to apologise at the press conference - albeit with some unexpected help from the ML - shows drive, determination, and ingenuity. Basically, she got her way. If you want to call that stupid, well...

Ah. I need to watch the first few episodes again to know that. If I am guilty of one thing - it is not paying attention to certain things in the early episodes and regretting it later. If you are still interested by then (but you won't be because you'll have moved on to a new drama and will be asking questions about THAT one) I'll let you know. :)

I agree with your comments and your thinking is very healthy. However, I meant that you shouldn’t say ‘please’ in this situation. It softens an argument that is already persuasive and would sound more confident without it — in the same way that repeatedly apologising for things that aren’t one's fault can make someone appear unnecessarily SUBMISSIVE. You do not have to say 'please' (here) to appear non-agressive. There are many aggressive people on MDL - and you are definitely not one of them.

I am not quite sure what you mean about 'the paper' (Do you mean edict? One did NOT refuse an edict.) and the 'emperor' (Which one? The dead one? The boy emperor had not suceeded to the throne at that time). So not fully understanding you, I can only say "Would they have been allowed to say no - and not have any repercussions?"

He is neither mean to her nor irrational - he is just being emotional and so is she.

@lulu: You are right about the leads motivations / behaviours - but why are you 'begging' people to wait (because that's what it looks like) - rather than making a suggestion? You can give your opinion or offer a different perspective (if not both) in the hopes that you might get someone to see something that they might have missed but that is enough. You are not responsible for the wrongful assumptions of others.
