It took me most of the trailer thinking, "where do I know him from???" to recognize Pavel. He looks so different!! I'm excited to see him as a leading role, I hope this one does well.
Is this a prequel to Until We Meet Again? I haven't seen that one yet, but I like to watch stories in chronological order. So should I wait to watch this one, and then watch Until We Meet Again?
I agree!!! In that moment of shocked silence between them I was definitely expecting Kim to apologize, or at least…
Or, if he can't help him himself, at least call Porsche! Or Kinn, so he can tell Porsche. Chay needed actual help, not someone to come in and yell at him and then leave without doing anything.
Ok am I in the minority that the pace was sped up a little??? But regardless it was a good ep, that vegaspete…
I agree!!! In that moment of shocked silence between them I was definitely expecting Kim to apologize, or at least ask Chay to go with him reasonably. But at the slightest resistance on Chay's part, Kim gets mad all, "Fine, do what you want." Like..... what? Kim, you're the one who broke his heart and made him think you never cared. Why are YOU mad? Did you think he'd be happy to see you???
It's still disturbing. It's just that BOC toned it down. If they had shown the rape bits, I would've stopped watching
Yes, these are great points. My first BL was 2gether, and I was shocked at the violent storyline with Green and his ex. He was afraid of him. Then the ex apologized, they got back together, and it was all played as cute comedy. I was surprised everyone was just... okay with that?? The characters in the story knew he was abusive!!
Writers need to be more aware of the messaging they're sending out with these kinds of stories. But like you said, until that happens, all we can do it make sure that toxic messaging doesn't invade our own perceptions.

I absolutely agree. What they kept is still SO problematic, and violence should never, ever be romanticized. It's not an ideal situation, and even what they kept, I wish they had separated out the violence and attraction more. Vegas kissing / sniffing Pete while torturing him blurred that line too much in my opinion.
It's more the second half of the episode that made me come around. Not ALL the way, but I get it now. When they started to relate to each other... that's when I wish the attraction had started.
It's rare that I love both leads SO MUCH. In fact, this whole drama was filled with lovable characters played perfectly by well-cast actors. The plot isn't great - there's a lot of problems introduced that are solved easily and then never brought up again - but the great characters and relationships make up for it.
I loved this drama it was light-hearted and easy to watch. I don't know why I feel that it ended too early. I…
I agree it ended too soon. I liked the show and had a lot of fun watching, but I do feel like they built up the idea that going public would be really hard, and then just... didn't show it.
I was a little surprised by how standoffish and mean Third still is to Khai. I understood why he was mean in the…
These are good points, and I agree a bit. I think it's great Third is himself and can be savage to his bf, because you're right, they're also best friends.
I personally would have liked to see a little balance, though. It would have been nice to see him be savage in some moments, and soft for Khai in others. It seemed a little extreme with Khai being the only one showing affection. And we have to assume it's been like that for a whole year. Khai was in the wrong at first, but he's been making up for it for a long time. He's 100% in this, and he wants to make Third happy.
I'm not saying it was toxic or anything, just a little surprising that Third doesn't at least meet him halfway in terms of affection and softness.
It depends on the type you are watching. Two of the three you mentioned are comedies and lighthearted in nature.…
Yes, I totally agree. Interviews with actors are great when you can tell they're comfortable, and they trust each other. That's really nice to see.
It was actually Lovely Writer that made me realize they are told to act like a couple for social media. That made me sad for them. :( I know it was probably more dramatic in the show (it's a show, after all), but it made me wonder how intense that aspect is.
I just saw your comment — I commented something similar above. Lol. I do find it odd. But then you watch something…
Haha, what does it say about me that I followed it with no confusion. ^^
I can see how the jealous moments were a substitute for tender ones, but I'm also not super keen on jealousy. I know it's a big part of romance, so I don't mind it, but it's not my favourite. And I agree - I didn't know why Kao lied for so long!

I actually prefer to show feelings and affection through those small moments of care - brushing away hair, touching an arm, etc. I don't need a kiss as long as affection is shown. (Though I do like a kiss or two! haha)
I watched Dark Blue Kiss, and I had a hard time believing them as a couple. There were "steamy" kisses, but there weren't any of those cute, affectionate moments that show two people are a couple.

Oh, no, sorry, I didn't mean the actors! I meant some shows imply that the characters are touching / being intimate, we just don't see it happen. That's what I meant by "off camera". Like we see them wake up together, or they talk about a nice moment. We the audience don't need to see skinship to believe it's happening.
I actually don't like that actors feel obligated to act couply in interviews. I wish that part of the industry would fade away.
Maybe people didn't like the numerous plot holes and the blatant disregard of Pete's and Big's huge sacrifices
Yeah, I get that they need time to relax and be comforted by each other, but the last scene was way too playful and happy just after Kinn's longest standing most loyal bodyguard died to save Porsche. Like... at least be sad for a moment? AND GO GET PETE, ISTG.

Now? I get it.
I had a lot of fun!
