Season 3: They're still working through their differences, of course, but their relationship is more important than their egos. They're open and honest and can handle any issues that come up. Then, DUN DUN DUN.... someone posts about their relationship. We see them go through the ups and downs of going public, how it changes their relationship, and how they deal with it together, never leaving the other's side.
Season 2 strengthened their relationship to the point where they can now deal with something like this TOGETHER. Before season 2 happened, they wouldn't have been strong enough.
I'm halfway through the first episode, and I had to pause to come here to say: How useless are the dads in the past life??? They both just stood there as BOTH their sons killed themselves??? (I don't think this is a spoiler, as it happens in the first ten minutes of the show).
But like, COME ON, dads! Lunge for the gun or something. Or maybe take the gun away as the second guy is crying instead of leaving it on the floor for him to pick up???
I know the whole story depended on this tragedy, so it had to happen somehow, but damn, those dads are dumb.
I AGREE!!! I was scared to watch it because of all the comments on twitter and youtube. I mean.... there was no…
I would love a third (and final) season where their relationship goes public and they have to deal with the fallout together. No break ups, just them facing the issue together. Something they never could have done before this season because their relationship wasn't strong enough. But now it is, and they can take on the world.
It took going back to S1 to recognise just what a poor communicator Ji Woo really was. Spiced with a little immaturity…
I rewatched season 1 before starting season 2 (and then binged it all), and both of their actions made perfect sense to me. It was a natural progression based on their dynamic. They were never going to live happily ever after unless they worked out how to communicate properly with their personality differences. I'm so happy they gave us a season 2 where they did just that.
i really don't even understand the hate comments on this...yall clearly are looking at this from a very overly…
I AGREE!!! I was scared to watch it because of all the comments on twitter and youtube. I mean.... there was no stopping me from watching, I was just waiting so I could binge it - but the comments scared me. Then I watched and was so confused about the hate because it's SO GOOD. I cried a few times, and squealed a few times. It was a perfect continuation to their story.
This was the perfect follow-up to one of my favourite stories. They nailed the tone, the moments of levity, the heartbreak, all of it. I'll admit, based on people's reactions on twitter and youtube, I was scared to start it. But I disagree with most of the criticism, I thought it was a beautiful continuation.
I would say I think the problems they went through were inevitable with their kind of dynamic. I was happy to see them slowly (and yes, at times painfully) work it out. Now their relationship will be stronger, and will last. It was on a course for destruction before, and now they're able to be open and honest. Will their relationship be perfect now? Of course not. But they now have the confidence and trust in each other to be honest about their feelings, and that will make all the difference.
Going to mask it with a spoiler, but something has been bothering me and I can't figure out...
Why the hell did Korn fake his own death?? What did that accomplish for him? All it did was start a war where a lot of people, and I mean A LOT of people died. His own people! His most trusted, head bodyguard died. The awesome cafeteria lady! His sons were in danger. Kinn almost died like 5 times. What the point of all that?
If I were his employee I would walk out the moment I saw him again - just like Pete did (though I know that was for different reasons). Some of those people probably love him. They all mourned him, then fought a war for his family. Then he's just... alive and well?
I agree. There's a lot more going on than they've revealed. Especially since Gun was about to say something about…
I'm almost looking forward to the nasty surprises, haha. I also think there's something symbolic about the phoenix she drew and Porsche showed her at the end. They're known for changing into a new form and coming back to life, so perhaps it represents her. I don't think she's as innocent as everyone thinks. Maybe even Korn is being deceived by her.
Do you think he really would have done it, though? Part of me thinks he wouldn't. I think he was acting like a…
Good points. Maybe in the moment he was considering it and had the intention, but I also think there was hesitation there. No matter how much self-loathing he was feeling, the last time he saw Pete, he gave him hope. I think that would have stopped him from doing it.

This is definitely one I'll rewatch.

I loved it.

I'm so confused.
