This film could very well be Yamazaki Kento's chance to prove himself a true actor. It looks so different to the previous fluff he's been in and you can sense the frustration in his character just from a few seconds of the trailer. Helmed by the director of Pink and Gray and also featuring Matsuoka Mayu + Ito Sairi, this clearly has potential.
Perhaps I was wrong about this? Going from this article, it seems to focus a great deal on female agency in a patriarchal society. 'Shape of Red', could be interesting actually.

Might I add that this film is definitely my ticket into Korean cinema. Could I get some recommendations for Korean films that are brilliant like this one?
This was so fecking good that I’ll have to watch it a second time to write a review that does it justice. As a social commentary, it is powerful but straightforward. Not straightforward in an ‘on the nose’ way but straightforward in that anyone can understand it so precisely. But I think the reason why it swept through the Oscars is that it’s not just dark but funny as hell. Never before has a film that is filled with so much fear and dread towards the human condition made the audience burst out into laughter way more than once. When the aliens finish watching this, they’ll blast the Earth to bits with their entire arsenal because it shows how despicable humans can be. If God watched this movie, he’d break his promise and send a second flood down because it shows that his creations are beyond redemption. In the meantime, get yourself to a proper theatre and WATCH THIS MOVIE.
Can anyone tell me if I'm going to be forced to listen to the quartet play Vivaldi's Four Seasons or the Pachelbel…
The most memorable ones are Smetana's Moldau, Schubert's Death and the Maiden + Ave Maria and arrangements of Video game music or Penguin Cafe Orchestra songs. From what I remember theres no 'classical music warhorses' and if there were, they were probably brief or forgettable enough not to cause any harm from one's head bashing against their keyboard in frustration.
Somehow,I agree with you..like seriously,Japan need to stop make story like this..I get enough with infidelity…
If you're curious about Kaho I think there are better places to start. Having looked at your lists you should probably watch something like Prison Princesses (with Mitsushima Hikari), Umimachi Diary (with Ayase Haruka and Hirose Suzu) or Blindly in Love (Hoshino Gen). Pink and Grey (with Suda Masaki) is great but quite dark. Apologies for firing off the names of actors and titles without much prompt.
Always manages to steal the show.
