Certainly her performance in blossom was great however the princess gambit really disappointed. Yes she is so beautiful and can act . Maybe she is not suited for these certain type of characters. Hope she can get a different character and setting to showcase her acting more.
Last year , i was pretty excited to see ai mi in a main role. People had various opinions that time ( mostly negative) now that the drama is out. She slayed !! Her acting is going really good. Hope to see more .
First saw her in new life begins. Honestly her character was really good and she acted pretty well to protray the character well. But the Breakthrough was definitely her acting in the princess gambit. The scene where she knows she is gonna die as she tried to poison the leads . Her eyes were filled with so much emotions and pain also fear. Genuinely cried watching it . Hope she gets a main roles too further .
Not sure how to put it in words but this drama is simply a masterpiece. The story line holds trauma , longing , and the never ending summer romance. To me both zhou wan and lu xixiao are really well executed characters.
Starting with zhou wan , her guilt of leaving lu xixiao or using him at the very start was well portrayed. People might think xixiao's suffering was way more serious, i agree but that absolutely doesn't mean zhou wan didn't have her share of trauma . She was a kid going through the pain of her fathers death and grandma's illness and mother's betrayal. She genuinely loved xixiao. Yes ,she was wrong but she was also figuring out how life works.
About xixiao, he really deserves all the love and care . He appears aloof but also mischievous at times but he is really a good soul. Green forest definitely. He is someone who has always sat thinking all by himself. He is committed and loyal. Also he is not like some other mls who only treat fl right and others like trashcans. He is empathetic at times. Helps others too.
Overall i loved the cinematography, the vibes throughout the drama. There time in yicheng something city was so sweet. The scenes are so beautifully shot seriously. The bgm is so so so so good. Every song is just so touching . Tue scene where xixiao is hallucinating dancing with wan with the fireworks , the song and melody are just chief's kiss. When they met again after the time skip for 1st time while pretending not to cry , the music was just perfect describing both xixiao's anger yet sadness, and wan's longing mixed with grief. When wan proposed xixiao the voilin melody 🤧✨️ and with xixiao's proposal the bgm really shone throughout the episode . Best music ever !!!!!. The opening song with zhou keyu is so soothing .
Moving on to other characters, LIN NA The Woman U Are !!!!!!!!!. The side couple were cute and bubbly. And jian yan , im glad he kind of got it by the end ( better late than never) that he needs to get a break from rhe lu family. I also liked xixiao's aunt and ping ! Ping was like a elder brother figuring out there. And ofc xiaoliu the puppy was cutest of all .
