I was loving this comedy series until the princess character performed by Xi Wei , in theory the FL, appeared. Sorry guys I cannot stand her character here. No reflection on Xi Wei. I have watched tons of her performances as FL and enjoyed, but here she is the weakest link in an otherwise fantastic bunch of characters. I am fast forwarding all her parts. Instead Dylan Wang is fabulous in this series. He is the star of the show following by the members of his family, such amazing comedy actors, even the adorable little girl is. They all needed to be in the main poster!!

turns out a handsome guy can be funny too
Have you not watched other Dylan Wang dramas? This is what he brings to the table. He is great at it.

Am I the only one who actually likes FL? The only thing I'm hoping for is her character growth. I feel bad for…
For me it is not a matter of liking her or not. It is a forced CP in a great comedy series and she does always the same roles. I liked her very much when she started as a lead, now I avoid her dramas because the repetition. Other FL reinvent themselves in every series

This started with a bang. Dylan Wang at his best!!! His comedy timing/skills are impeccable. The soundtrack is great. I hope stays like this and not focus in a romantic CP. A whole comedy group adventure is much more rewarding that a so so CP chemistry and the rest of the cast are doing great.

Title The Servant
This erotic film is good, and sex does not get in the way of the storyline like with other similar productions, on the contrary. All merit of the late Kim Joo Hyuk, who was an excellent actor, and brings all the layers of Bang Ja characters to live and keep our interest throughout. I really like that all sex scenes only happen between him and Yeo Jung (FL) so this is a comforting viewer experience. The claustrophobic environment in these scenes, the great chemistry between the leads take us by surprise considering Bang Ja character. He delivers an amazing sensuality that moves his lover deeply. If you like erotica, don't pay attention to the low rating here and enjoy this film. You won't regret it.

I think he won an important award for this film already, a couple of weeks ago.

The chemistry of Go Eun and Steve Noah is amazing, the same as their acting abilities, yet they gave the vibes of a hetero couple and I couldn't shift that feeling throughout the film. This is not the fault of the brilliant Go Eun that was impeccable in her role but of Steve. He did not convince me as a gay character and it has nothing to do with mannerism or gay stereotypes: there was something lacking in his emotions to portray this character. Instead, the gay activist actor was on point. I also did not like the mother, did not bring the nuances that the character required. For me is a 9 (I gave the series a 10) for a good story and the great effort of all involved.

Can someone please explain the relevance of poison to the plot...my POV is it isn't needed as it didnt add anything…
It adds to the extreme/dramatic aspect of YZJ personality. He was not afraid of death and suffering (being poisoned he was in constant physical discomfort). He was in the edge of life and death all the time. In taking so many risks he achieved so much, until he finds her and his zest for life revived, making the end, a soulful one. On the other hand, as he loved her unconditionally, he also learnt to let her go and he went in peace. He knew, she will be alright.

Excellent drama. I recommend it to everybody. I am not in any "fan club" so I don't understand the pettiness of all. Endings are a choice of the storyteller. I think this ending matched the spirit of the tale, of this super man that has survived the worst in life and still stand tall and strong. He gave her that, this man, and wanted to leave her with that image. YuNing spoke in a live that he liked that ending. In real life, many people chose this that their relatives do not look at them consume by the illness, but it is not the best for those left behind. Although very hard, it is endearing to look after our loved ones even in their worst moments. I am sure DuanWu would have liked to be there and would never thought any less of him, but he had the right to chose how to die. I respect that, so I am alright with the ending.

This is a great series and a great effort, but there is a constant sense of fatalism that I am not sure how much is the reality of gay men in Korea. Certainly in Europe, having a long lasting relationship among gay men is quite common nowadays and all my friends are in very solid relationships, some of them married and with adopted children. The stories are really impactful but the one who blew me away is his relationship with the homophobic gay. The chemistry, the level of acting for very challenging roles, both actors deliver a visceral performance. The highlight of the series for me.

The chemistry of the wonderful Wu Jin Yan and Liu Xue Yin is great. Another very strong CP with her, but who else thought Baron Chen's pairing with Zhao Xiao Tang was riveting? The Crown Prince longing for his General Yi, the slow attraction from her, the aphrodisiac scene, so beautifully filmed and the surrender to their feelings in the strongest defeat situation had a magic of its own. It was an impactful storyline that felt too short. Hopefully, they will be cast together again in the future.

Does anybody know for sure if there will be any romance here? I read that there is not romance between the characters of Zhao Lusi and YuNing that will be most dissapointing!!! I was looking forward to a nice romantic CP between them again!

Do you know how long take for a Korean court to decide over a custody case, particularly when is the women the plaintiff? There are cases of foreign women in Korea that fight for a year only to see their children. The practice in Korea is for the mother in law to remove the child or children, and not letting the mother to see them until the court decide, particularly if the child is a boy. The figure of kidnapping does not exist among parents until the court decide who retain custody. This is not exclusive to Korea it happens in most countries in the world but in Korea is perfectly acceptable for the in laws to take control of the women's children. There is the written law, there are the faults of the law and there are the social mores and practice.

Women's reality check in Korea - Some of you are rejoicing that NY has been deprived by her mother-in-law of her child because of her negative behavior, this is not just fiction and has nothing to do with the NY being evil. It is a reality in Korea, that women do not have an immediate right to their children if their husbands decide to divorce them. There is a social media campaign warning foreign women who want to marry Korean men about this fact.
