The only perfect in this series is the song Flowers Fall With No Trace. It is mesmerising, written and performed by the Han/Mongol artist Sa Ding Ding (I know they plaster it at every opportunity, but I don't mind). She has provided heaven to a series that is not honouring the dimension of that song. I am following her in Spotify. Everybody should have her in their lives. Highly recommended.
Why this high rating.. it's not that great..I don't like thepersonalities of both the mcs..the concept was nice..but…
Agree. I am watching but fast forwarding like crazy. Some characters are so annoying, they are indigestible. The dialogue is so clumsy and they speak a lot of nonsense. No great chemistry between the leads. Bai Lu always with the same ranting tone (think of other roles in which she has been great). The only that is great here is a song called Flowers Fall With No Trace is mesmerising written and perform by the han/mongol artist Sa Ding Ding but they plaster it at every opportunity!
Basically no one does. She’s awful. She had so many opportunities to not be vicious but every time she ruins…
Speak for yourself. She is my favourite character there and with her CP they are in the top 10 of rating popularity in China, ahead of higher profile CPs
Ep 19 - Ranting warning: What kind of dialogue around the tree was that??? It reads like a children play! I watch loads of this kind of C Drama but the script was so clumsy. I can cope with nonsense explanations forcing narrative in this genre, "whatever" is my formula to avoid getting aggravated but I can't really with stupidity altogether. it could be a problem of translation - I doubt it.
I really like this series. It is my first Yang Zi one and her performance is solid. For all those looking for the instant gratification of early flirting between the leads, you would be disappointed. This series it is mainly showing the difficulties women suffer at the hand of men and the sisterhood that develops in solidarity. If you don't like this kind of tale, this is not for you. I love to see the dynamics between all the women helping each other. Having said that, there is a lot of sensuality and longing from the beginning with the bad husband and his first love interest (and Miles Wei is really good for this kind of roles) but there is no flirting between the leads until ep 15 and it is funnier rather than romantic. So, again I suggest going to this series not expecting Li Xian as the ardent lover he was in Will Love in the Spring . As a matter of fact, his character is so laid back that I find him unnerving at times! (his character not Li Xian who is one of the best Chinese actors nowadays).
hmm...melo genre. I was about to start this but I've got overdosed with this genre. I'm currently watching guardians…
Yes Guardians of Dafeng feels really refreshing Dylan is a comedy genius. I felt the same than you from the introductions of Ep 1, oh no, more of the same melo, even the lines were similar to other dramas, but I gave it a go and I just fell for the 2nd CP, both characters are exciting and intriguing. Then by ep 10 I think they presents a lovely love story with another CP that was worthy my time.
Well said! I hear you. Her character comes across as really entitled and spoiled. The relationship also feels…
I could not agree more with everything you say here. Yes, the relationship with the ML character, I could not feel how that came about? Suddenly, this fab man was in love with this woman that until that point only showed stubbornness?? 2 FL is my favorite character in the series and with the 2 ML are giving everything sensuality, excitement, intrigue because we don't know why they are as they are. I think they are going to fall hard for each other but I don't put my money they will survive the series, one can just hope (I am only speculating).
Bai shou says Fan yue's intervention in the realm of resentment by saving the child gave Mu jiu a chance to live.…
There are a lot of forced and crazy arguments in this type of C dramas. Take it from somebody who has watched tons of them! I just go along with the ride, while I watch I say to myself "whatever"
How two adorable parents could create such an annoying son!? After the turtle guy, Mu Jui, the younger fox is my least favorite character. It is a pity we did not come to see more of the love between the Mountain Queen and his lover Qi. I would have liked to see them more time happy and in love. The two actors in that CP have lovely visuals and are great performers. I would have preferred less Bai Lu screentime. I am a follower of Bai Lu, so don't come for me that I don't like her! but for some reason in this series she sounds like a spoiled brat most of the time (other people here have commented on this). Thinking of Bai Lu when she encountered Tan Tan Ji as her husband in the first reincarnation all those emotions that she passed through, there were perfectly portrayed. I cannot find those undertones in her performance in this series. Sorry.
