Title Secret Love
I feel like now with ep 5, the real fun of this drama has started. I just wish we could have gotten here faster, cuz all through ep 1-4 I was just waiting for her to go to prison & come out already.

That was THE greatest reunion I've ever seen in Kdramaland. Err, did I just wish for Gaksital 2? Hoho!
Hum, no problem for me. Both Joo Woon and Park Ki Woong are really good at creating characters, so I've never once been confused by characters of their different dramas (though the cameo did remind me of his A Man's Story character a bit).
But omg, after watching that clip I'm totally in the mood for rewatching Gaksital!

I <3 Park Woong Ki!!! Lee Kangto, Kimura Shunji and Abe in the same room together again? Ahhh, agree...Best…
Don't forget the director, aka Shunji's father! Though he wasn't in the same room...

Also, I wonder why the excuse of women who are not used to house chores is always 'I can't do that, I've never done that before'. If you can't do something, you should learn it! Nothing to be proud of... The eldest daughter in Wang Family is like that, too. But Jung Ins mom is not really hurting anyone with that behaviour so she's harmless and that reduces her annoyance factor to almost zero.

Haha, yes^^ even if it's vice versa, it's still the same big difference in characters. The only other thing (and also the first one) I saw him in is Time Between Dog and Wolf, but I have to admit I didn't really notice him there because I was only paying attention to Lee Jun Ki xD
I'll definitely look at JKH a lot more now!
You're right! All of the characters are funny and likable. I think Jung Ins dad is a bit annoying, but I can't help but like him anyway, because he's petty on a school boy level, which is totally cute (as long as you can just watch and don't have to deal with him yourself xD). Like when he still had his car+driver and Hyun Soos dad was chasing him and he stopped just to make him run once more xD He really needs a change in attitude and it's fun to see Grandpa fix that =D

I like it because it's so funny! The grandpa is kinda like the second sister in King's family. So hardworking and kind but scarcely recognized for it. I really hope the girls' family will realize that by the end of the show.
Also, the last thing I saw Jung Kyung Ho in was Cruel City. His character there was so cool, so it's a lot of fun to watch him being totally not as smooth as he wants with the girls. He's also the reason the drama got on my plan to watch list in the first place^^
Lee Min Jung is beautiful as always, but I also like her characters sass.
It's the perfect drama for my current mood, so I'm enjoying it a lot =)

Haha, yeah I also can't stand the oldest sister. But wanting to see her change is one of the reasons I watch^^ I also can't stand the Mom. But I love lots of other characters! And the annoying characters still annoy me less than they did in Lee Soon Shin, so that's a plus xD Maybe because there's no way they won't change for the better (except for maybe the mom).

I also waited forever before I watched The Crucible. You just have to be in the right mood I guess...

If I ever visit Korea... I'm definitely going to all these places X3 (if they're public) And THAT'S where it was.…
Lots of the historicals are filmed in the palaces in Seoul, which are open to public. The outside scenes at last, I'm pretty sure all of the indoor ones are studio scenes.
They also created new sets for some dramas, which are afterwards used for other dramas and usually are open to public, too.
Lots of stuff is also filmed at the Korean Folk Village, which is an outdoor museum. They usually show its name in dramas when it was filmed there.

You've already watched most of my favorites xD Only not so popular ones remain...

If you're up for something different from the usual, try Secret Investigation Record. You need to concentrate to watch though, because they don't hit you over the head with explanations and important details might slip by you. But it's an awesome combination of stylish directing, a well thought out plot and great acting.

I recently started Wang Family and really love it, but it's way too early to rate...

For movies, I usually like contemplative ones. Some might say weird ones xD. 3-iron, The king and the Clown and Confessions are some of my favorites. For more mainstream ones, Masquerade and Rurouni Kenshin were great.
I also thing The Crucible is a must-watch movie. It's really great, but it's quite heavy so it's not really something to enjoy.

Wait there really is something thats bugging me since this drama started.. Why does the secretary calls tae gong…
-Yang is a polite way to say names. Maybe you noticed -sshi being added to names in other dramas. -yang is basically the same, just more polite. So Tae-Yang is literally both 'Ms Tae' and 'The Sun'. I guess the subbers just took some liberty and wrote her whole name to make sure everybody gets whom they are talking about.

Will you love... really looks good *consider* Guess annoying characters are unavoidable in most shows... as long as they make up for it with lots of good stuff!!

They tease with some seconds of Nam Hyuk several times and he gets a few longer scenes at one point, but the story never really goes that way and he remains a tertiary character, not even present in many episodes, sadly. I guess it's because he was fictional and the story focuses more on historical characters.

I'm cutting secret quite some slack because the script won an award. I like it fine, but even if so far most of the plot is far from new (can't we just cover that damn stuff from the premise already?), I'm super optimistic about it getting better. Just don't prove me wrong, show! xD

If I had the time, I would watch ALL dramas xD Really need to get myself a time machine somehow.
For Japanese drama I usually watch the first ep of everything that catches my attention. But they are shorter, so less time needed.

Title Garasu no Ie
Anyone know where I can watch episode 2? I don't need subs so raw is fine. I looked on d-addicts, asiatorrents…
If you don't need subs, try here: http://dramamovielink.blog102.fc2.com/
They usually have currently airing J-drama eps few hours after airing. Garasu no Ie is up to ep 5 there.

I sometimes was surprised at how far the drama goes, especially concerning some deaths. I spoiled myself by reading about the historical facts, but the deaths always had a great impact on me anyway.

This show made me see all those scheming concubines from other dramas in a different light.
Yam Jun would be the villain in any other drama, but here you can't help but cheer for her. I always felt conflicted about wanting her to succeed, but in a good way.
And this show is dark. The 'cruel' part from the title is not exaggerated.
Despite it's length it never got boring. Definitely recommended!
