Well, her surrogate father mentioned how she is blood-related to his children and by the reaction of his wife, they seem to be his rather than hers. I can't really imagine Itsuki's mom in an affair because they painted her as such a nice character, so the nurse makes the most sense to me, with all her creepy concern. The men were close friends, so maybe the surrogate father asked Itsuki's parents to take care of his illegitimate children?
Gosh, it's really confusing to use mom/dad as that's practically everyone, but I don't remember their names -_-
49 really hits all the right buttons. I think it's awesome to have them switch and let Dan feel the impact of the change. It sucks when everyone likes that other you better than yourself. In that sense, the end of ep 5 is equally sweet and bitter to me. I want Dan to become the person she likes!

Isn't she their mom? Old Itsuki doesn't seem to know though, so maybe it will be brought up later... But the less of her the better x_X

You're so right about the evil mother-in-law (add evil 'new' sister) and DV for the sake of drama and ep 5 totally took a few steps in that (wrong) direction. Just how creepy can that nurse be!?
It's plenty entertaining, I just hope they won't go too far in that direction. I know I'll watch the whole thing anyway, but...
10 month is less than the military service. They'll get out in no time and career recovery might be difficult, but it's not impossible (see Joo Ji Hoon).
Let's hope they have learned from their mistakes and recover quickly!
DAMN YOU MIN HYUK! You wanted to kiss her so much... so you just did! :DDDD Loved how YJ strugled and he had to…
Don't get me wrong, I still love the drama! I think it's way too one sided, that's why it feels off. Actually I had been cheering for him to just kiss her anyway lots of times before because there's so much tension, but the struggeling was a little long... I know I'm being picky, but if a drama is awesome, I just want everything to be perfect xD
I've never seen anything Thai, so I don't know about Lakorns...

Forced kissing is not romantic in my book. If she struggles hard like that and he just continues anyway then that's totally uncomfortable to watch. I don't get why that's so popular lately.
So who's playing the housewife?? They never listed the actor And Ive never known Japan to show more than 12 episodes…
45eps really aren't much as it's only 23min per ep. It's like a 16ep K-drama xD
It doesn't seem like the 40-20 love story will be the main point of the drama. So far it's about her childhood and I think it will continue to be more a story of her life than about one romance.

It's actually my first time trying a daytime soap xD The target group is obviously housewives and I don't fit into that category, but strangely I'm able to connect to the main character very well. I didn't think it would be that melo and it's a little bit too much for me (with all the people dying - the other stuff is good), but it got me hooked anyway.
Also, the music is just awesome. I can totally see why that old record still touches her.
I tried a proxy, but it doesn't work because of Flash. By now it's also out on gooddrama =)) Thanks though =)

Nakama Yukie's character is basically the same and the tone is also similar, but the story is very different. If you like one, you'll probably also enjoy the other.
I got confused at first because the character's name is the same, but Saki is not a sequel and the story has nothing to do with Rinjin besides also centering around a femme fatale.

I didn't like her for a very long time but after watching Utsukushi Rinjin and Saki she grew on me ^^
Ya me too T_T It's so frustrating to see that Viki has it subbed already but being unable to watch because it's not available in my region T__________T

If you're still in the mood for something serious, try Honey Trap. I just watched the 2nd ep and while the first one was kinda boring (because everything happens just exactly as they wrote in the sysopsis -_-) the second one totally hooked me. Roughly, it's about industrial spying and framing of an innocent, but it's much more suspenseful than that description might sound. Plus, it has Nakama Yukie.
Hm. Very interesting. There are also numerous accidents while filming dramas :\ And the sad thing is, many people…
Professionalism is all good and well, but sometimes I just wish they would take care of the actors' health a bit better x_X
I do admire their dedication though...
