Weird that at this point some ppl r just sticking here to mingle with haters cuz they themselves didn't like it.…
I hate this point of view. The "if you didn't like it why bother commenting on it". So I only get to comment on things I like and not things I don't like? As long as I'm respectful I have the same right you have to express my opinions on a show. Otherwise why have a commenting section at all? Just to kiss ass each other? That's stupid. Just accept that not everybody is going to like the things you like, the same way I accept not everybody is going to dislike what I dislike. Just let people comment freely what they feel.
why there is always lovely ppl in the comment section during the airing time of the series but after the airing,…
I don't agree with people calling people that liked this inmoral. To each it's own, and if you liked it you liked it. But I do have a right to express concerns on this story and the weak points if I want to (like you said). Believe me, watching a series week by week and binge watching it is different. When you watch week by week some weak points of the story might be lost on you with time, but when you binge watch it in one go, the story needs to be strong for you not to fixate on those weak points. That's why you feel like toxic people came up now (they are not toxic, just explaining what they feel). It's just that a binge watch doesn't let you forget about the bad points and fixate on the good ones, it's all there in one go and if the story is not properly told, you get a clearer view of it when you binge watch cos all the feelings and stories are explained in one go and clear in your memory.
I binge watched it and it definitely left a weird taste in my mouth.
I'm not pressed by the incest itself, I've seen other stories with similar plots and was onboard, but in those…
I understand. That part I would be willing to ignore if it wasnt for the lack of romantic expressions from Qian after they get together. It still seemed too family like. That part ended it for me. There was too much family bond at the start like you just said, and to top it of, it wasn't romantic-like afterwards from qian's perspective. Those two things just make me feel weird about the whole thing.
What incest ? They r strangers who met and got involved. Literally basic normal point. The fact that u r bringing…
Incest definition on wikipedia; "Incest is human sexual activity between family members or close relatives. This typically includes sexual activity between people in consanguinity (blood relations), and sometimes those related by affinity (marriage or stepfamily), ADOPTION, or lineage.
This is definitely incest, don't try and make other people look uneducated when you're the one in denial.

well then they f*cked it up and that's not on the spectator but on the editor or director... so... it's understandable that other people me included didn't feel right about the whole story, and that's what I'm hoping to convey. You shouldn't have to dig on twitter or forums to get the plot straight, that's on them.

They are definitely not "strangers that met and got involved". Don't make it sound like they are strangers that were family for like a year and then decided to get together. Qian raised Yuan like a brother or father would since Yuan was 7. He definitely raised him as a family member. Since they get together when Yuan was like 24 and qian was like 30, it definitely was not a "basic normal point". You either accept the incest part or not (I'm fine with it btw) but being concerned by it is also a valid point and bia has the right to be put off by it.
why are people so pressed about them being like “”brothers”” , to me they are more like friends than brothers…
I'm not pressed by the incest itself, I've seen other stories with similar plots and was onboard, but in those stories they didn't have such a father/son or siblings bond as strong as this one, that they felt like actual blood related family members. I didn't feel like they were friends, qian definitely behaved like a father figure. For example in history4 the "brothers" kinda knew each other the same ammount of years and from similar ages and I was more on board with that story because they weren't as close as qian and yuan were, they weren't so "family" like (because they had actual parents raising them too). And people said that the history4 plot was disgusting bc they were brothers and I was fine with it! But in this one everybody seems so okay to pass it as romance even when qian was such a father figure to yuan. And in history4 the older brother was way more clear on his feelings for the other one and it didn't feel like "just accepting it". And you see after the fact the change in their relationship from a family one to a romantic one, with clear physical atraction from both ends. In this one there's lack of clear explanation of qian's feelings and after they get together qian still behaves like a big brother and not a romantic partner (he doesn't respond to yuan when he's asked if it's a siblings hug or a boyfriend hug, he takes yuan on a date to the same spot they've always had dinner at instead of a romantic place like yuan wanted, he doesn't say anything romantic whatsoever at all that expresses his change of feelings for yuan, you feel love from qian but it's still ambiguous as to if it's sibling love or romantic love, and the few kisses seem plastered there and not romantic at all). All this is what puts me off, not the idea of two brothers getting together itself.
Also, now that I think about it, after they actually had sex, excluding maybe the scene the morning after, there…
I agree, after the fact it seemed way more like a family story than a romance. I guess that's why I felt let down since I went in totally for a romance story. But if you watch it as a family story and their struggles it's definitely good.
I realize some people say the game was just purgatory or something like that, after he killed himself, but that…
Well, somebody a few comments down made a whole different interpretation with the same "elements" and stated it as facts, so this is clearly your own interpretation of the show and not necessarily what it's actually happening. That proves my point that the writing was bad in the end and left the spectator to figure out basic main plots cos even the writers didn't know how to solve them.
My interpretation that yeowoon was "made for him" could also be concluded from the elements that are there from the conversations with the senior, so, again, this is basically make your own story as it goes because people interpreted the story in different ways depending on what elements of the story they focused on. Again, lazy writing.

", I do think they could have explored the evolution of Qian's feelings better (or less subtly, I think it's there but it's like all silent facial expressions) "
100% agree. This is basically my problem with it. And the lack of romantic moments after the fact. But oh well. I still enjoyed it for the most part.
Also, now that I think about it, after they actually had sex, excluding maybe the scene the morning after, there…
Well then that's definitely a trope I don't like for sure! I'm not keen on fictional romantic stories where you see one of them all in and the other still hesitant till the very end... So I guess that's why I wasn't super impressed by this one when you add the whole siblings thing to top it all off and make it even more complicated from the start....
kinda agree with you. In episode 11 When Qian hugged Xuan, Xuan asked if it's a hug from a brother or a boyfriend…
I saw all that.... And I felt it in the moment. But the aftermath of all that seemed so similar to what they had as brothers that I don't know. I was ready to take the leap of incest with them but since they didn't show properly qian's attraction for yuan and they went back to siblings (except for a few random very plain kisses) and there were almost no romantic moments at all after that... I was kinda left feeling weird about the whole thing
Also, now that I think about it, after they actually had sex, excluding maybe the scene the morning after, there…
We're not friends watching from outside, were spectators actually (supposedly) seeing their intimate moments (and besides the sex scene there weren't any) and in a relationship as complicated as this one that is originally two siblings, it's worrying that you portray one of them as not sure if he wants anything more than that and then get them to have sex and the next moment they behave like they're still siblings... Like somebody else said, even in that hug where yuan asks if it's a sibling hug or a boyfriend hug, Qian doesn't even respond ...
kinda agree with you. In episode 11 When Qian hugged Xuan, Xuan asked if it's a hug from a brother or a boyfriend…
I agree, but then, why have a physical relationship? Cos it seemed like Yuan was like "can i take care of you for the rest of my life?" and Qian was, out of nowhere, like "ok, let's have sex if you want to", but didn't seem like it was needed you know? It didn't seem like Qian loved him way more than a brother would and ALSO atracted to him physically. More like "sure, let's have sex, you don't disgust me like other women have". And that conversation with the friend that was like "unless you can't be with men, you should be with him, nobody's gonna love you like him" didn't help either. It was anything BUT romantic. I don't know, it was a let down for me.
I realize some people say the game was just purgatory or something like that, after he killed himself, but that…
Unless you know all these from reading it from the original source material, this is all your interpretation, so it's not set in stone, it could be just what you want to take from it but not be like that. And in case you actually know all this from reading the source material, the spectator who hasn't should know all this from watching the show and not be left wondering what the heck is happening. That's just bad writing. For me, Yeowoon was too similar to him to actually be a real person, it seemed more like somebody created for Myungha to love himself a little more, but oh well. I totally deleted this from my memory the moment it ended bc it left me so frustrated.

Anything that shows qian's romantic love would have been fine.
