even more so because it's an alternate reality, they should've used accurate wording and let korea be independent rather than hint that even modern kingdom of korea is not an independent kingdom and is a tributary state that submits to another country in this case you know it is china.. and with all the clashes with the chinese and koreans online over historical stuff and claims about korean stuff being chinese and what not , it's a very sensitive topic for them... do you see how it's looking for koreans ?? looks like it's catering to that political agenda which is honestly unpleasant even for me .. however i'm with removing the scenes rather than the deletion of the drama it's such a fun romcom but they are taking it this far to show the consequences and because it seems that this time they crossed the line , if they investigate and find outside influence , it will not look good , they won't get out of the accusations easy , i'm telling you it's a big deal .. i wish i was wrong .. they're even petitioning for refunds because there is an agency involved and some aspect of it is covered by taxpayer money so they're not happy .. they think it's disrespectful to their sovereignty and dignity of the nation

i have so much respect for writer director actors and the crew so such a masterpiece of a kdrama , true to the real events . heat wrenching and tragic , last two episodes brought to tears all the time .. and icried so much , it was so well done , deserves awards

i just started this to watch before it gets canceled been wanting to but didn't find the time .. i have to say i understand where they're coming from in the controversy and it's not just the items used but certain words that are meant to lessen Korea's monarchy honestly i love the show so far , IU and beyeon woo sook are my biases and i love the rest of the cast and all actors but to be neutral here ... I understand where they're coming from in distorting history .. some words used really do seem like outside influence otherwise i don't see the need to use inaccurate and lessening wording that are known to be historically inaccurate ( cheonse) which is used for lower ranking vessel states ( governed by someone else)... with the 9 strings crown growing the suspicions further ( a governor crown rather than a monarch with 12 , again lesser rank ) ... you'd think it's a given they'd use the accurate phrasing Manse ( used for independent monarch) and the accurate crown as there is no reason not to use or to alter such important things ... especially if you look into the meaning behind the change ... i wish it didn't have to take such a serious consequence but they should've known , they know their nation takes such matter very seriously , other countries try to distort its image .. this isn't the first time this has happened , it happened before with kdramas like Joseon exorcist and we missed out on possibly such a good show because of this , and all their efforts had gone to waste . so i'd say 1- I'm not surprised and i understand 2- Learn from other people's mistake it's not news that such acts are unacceptable in SK especially when it comes to their country's pride and dignity. so yes you play with fire , fire is what you get .. it's such a shame , i know I'll probably adore this drama and it's already looking like a 9 so i'm truly devastated but then again they should've known , they wouldn't get away with it

i even watched the interview .. it was beyond defeating .. you watch him say that they chose him cause he was weak and poor and easy to lay the blame , he said they kept him up for 3 days without sleep and tortured him and he doesn't even remember what he ended up writing on the paper they used as his confession
