Put a smile on my face

Things I loved

1 The FL. She's a good actress and she plays cute well. I've discarded a lot of series lately because of the forced cuteness of some actresses but here it feels natural and she is portraying the cute and adorable girl quite well. I also loved her character. She's smart and funny and a good person.

2 The ML. I thought I wouldn't like him at first and that the 2ML was better but he won me over and he's become one of my favorites now. He portrayed his character truly well and he was believable as the nerd who slowly falls in love. I loved their chemistry and their couple.

3 The no angst. I loved that it was fluffy most of the times and gave me reasons to smile. I love lighthearted series and it certainly fits the genre.

2 The parents. I liked how they interacted with the children. It was refreshing to see parents who don't stress their children and there were quite a few funny moments I adored.

3 The professor and the relationship between the students d especially the Ml and him.

4 The jealousy scenes. Whether it was im who was jealous or her, it was funny, lighthearted, perfect.

Things I liked

1 The second couple. Good enough to care about them.

I can't believe this is a 9

Things I liked

1 The low angst isn't something I dislike. I don't necessarily care about having problems and love triangles and something to overcome. So that wasn't the issue.

2 The second couple. Better actors and more interesting story, although not one I haven't seen before, But that's fine. I don't chase after originality either.

3 The ML. I think he was decent, but that's it. His character never took off and the thing I liked most about him was his dimple. I'm sure he'll do better in a better written story.

Things I disliked

1 The lack of character development. Growing older and deciding to get married isn't what I call real character growth. Everything felt so boring and somewhat not right. I can' explain but the whole wedding and having a baby was rather off-putting than romantic. I know many love this, hence the rating of 9, which is baffling to me to say he least, but to me it felt like it wasn't the right move. Like the writers pushed them to do this to have a happy ending. It felt sad in a way rather than romantic or joyful.

Things I hated

1 Unfortunately the FL. I've seen her n other series and tolerated her well, but here she got on my nerves more than once. She overdid it in sweetness to the point that it felt fake in the end. She pushed and stalked and insisted to the point that it made me uncomfortable. I love high school dramas. Hidden Love, Our Secret and a few others are amongst my favorites, but this one didn't make the cut. It didn't have a story and the acting of the FL wasn't good. Coincidence but today I mention twice Esther Yu because two actresses I didn't like in two dramas tried to play cute and they made m cringe whilst when she does it she makes me smile. Anyway, the actress isn't my cup if tea. I hate her voice and her expressions and her whole childish behavior. This is what made me dislike the series. That it felt like a child was doing all this and it felt so cringe and wrong.

Enjoyable

Things I loved

1 The premise. it was cute and fun and original.

2 The FL. I think the actress did a great job and the character was fun, intriguing and relatable. I loved her dynamism and how kindhearted she was.

3 The relationship between the leads. It was quite fun and believable. It didn't put my heart on fire but it was much better than many I've seen lately. There was chemistry between the leads in m opinion.

4 The ML. He's a problem every time I watch a series with him because I never know how I'll rate his performance. I don't think he's a great actor and he usually plays the same role, but here he was good. Hos character was sympathetic and warm rather than cold and aloof.

5 The hotel. I'm a fan of stories that take place in a hotel.

Things I disliked

1 The 2FL. I dislike thoroughly this actress. Her character was bland and boring and she looked too old.

2 The 2ML. He was okay but I didn't like him. I don't think e was well paired with the 2FL and I wish he had another romantic interest. Also a bland actor for me.

I would give it a better rating but I disliked thoroughly the second couple

Things I adored

1 The ML. I didn't even recognized him at first, but I had him on my favorite actors after seeing him on What If. I fell in love with him in What If and he didn't disappoint here either. He's not handsome in a classic way but he's a good actor and he carries himself well.

Things I loved

1 The FL. She was good after the first few episodes where I thought she was too wooden and played like she was afraid to speak. Once she got into her role she was much much better. I do think though that in some scenes she needed to make more efforts.

2 The 2FL. I loved the actress. So beautiful and natural. I will check her other work. I hated the relationship plot with her, but I loved her friendship with the FL.

3 That they showed they had a healthy and adult physical relationship. The chemistry was there for me.

Things I liked

1 The band. They were good characters although we didn't learn much about them.

2 The bar owner. I could even say I loved her since she was mature, sensible and a good friend.

Things I disliked

1 The FL character in the first episodes when she navigated between her ex and the ML. I know it was needed but it still bothered me that she wasn't more decisive and affirmative.

2 The ML ex. I didn't hate her but she still bothered me. That said she redeemed herself so all is good.

Things I hated

1 The 2ML. I mean this time the brother. The actor was awful. Just awful. I never once cared about his relationship. Great brother, I can't deny that but pairing him with the best friend was a mistake and he didn't have the charisma to carry this through. I fast forwarded all their scenes after a while because it irritated me a lot. I do think a better actor could have made them less painful.

2 The whole second couple relationship. No chemistry and oh god it took even more time than the main leads' relationship. Why the heck? Sometimes it was like 2/3 of the episode were focused on them. It got on my nerves in the end.

3 The ex. What a despicable, manipulative character. he was handsome and yet I felt like he was so ugly. I wish he paid more for his actions. I hate manipulative people more than anything, and unfortunately they are everywhere. So it helps to be able to hate them in fiction.

4 The father of the FL. I don't care if he changed, I only care about the fact that he wanted his children to just obey him and that he used corporal punishment which was glossed over by the FL. What the heck is wrong with society? Why is is acceptable in 2026 to show that kind of behavior? All the things I hated made me lower the rating. If only the main couple was the focus it would be 8.5 at least.

I liked that it was a blend of romance and mystery

Things I loved

1 The mix of romance and mystery. I like this kind of drama and started this one with big hopes. It didn't last though and that's why the rating isn't stellar.

2 The FL. She's one of my favorite actresses and she was good here as well. She makes me feel things and she makes me want to support her and see her happy. I think she's very talented and she was good here as well.

Things I liked

1 The ML. I haven't seen him in anything else but I think he did a good job.

2 The romance. it dragged a bit and didn't have all the things I want in a romance but it was solid.

3 The mother and grandmother. Solid characters as well that gave me some great moments.

Things I disliked

1 The mystery wasn't as riveting as I was expecting and there were many questions I didn't have a satisfying answer to. It dragged quite a bit also, and I think it would be better if the beginning of the mystery was settled a bit different. I think the execution wasn't the best. The director and the screenwriter should have done a better job. Honestly, if the leads weren't good actors and charming this would be even worse. They saved it for me.

2 The sad vibe was a bit too much for my liking.

I kind of liked it

Things I loved

1 The food component. I loved watching the preparation of the food. It was relaxing and so interesting. Truly I loved that part.

2 The actresses and especially one of them, the more carefree. I loved the three of them. I'm not sure why others say the acting was bad. They were funny and warm, and I believed in their friendship. No bad acting as far as I'm concerned.

Things I liked

1 The whole drama. It wasn't perfect but it was original, soothing, and made me smile quite a few times.

Things I disliked

1 The lack of romance. I was expecting a little bit of romance but there was literally none. A small part was related to a relationship but there was no romance per se. I understand that it wasn't that kind of drama but I wish there was something related to romance for each of them.

2 The ending. I didn't hate it, actually I loved some parts, but it could be better. It left me wanting more and I want a second season.

Amazing chemistry between the leads

Things I adored

1 The ML. He's one of the best actors and every time I've seen him he nails the cold but soft hearted character. I just love him and am looking desperately for any other modern dramas he's the lead. He is so handsome with a great body and hair, and yes I'm superficial, I want the ML to be handsome. That he can act only adds to his appeal. Here he was just perfect. His smile alone melt my heart. Good casting choice, no doubt.

2 The grandfather. he was grumpy but adorable and I loved his relationship with his grandchildren and his assistant.

3 The office workers. I adored all of them. Their interactions made me happy every time. So fun and heartwarming. I just loved them.

4 The ML's brother. What a sweet kid and a great actor. My heart was soaring each time they showed him with his brother. Some of the scenes just before he left were amongst my favorites. I admit I cried a lot during these scenes even before I knew what was going to happen. I wish they had some ending scenes between them. I'd love that. It's a pity it ended as it ended. The scene with his father wasn't enough for me.

5 The ML's friends. What a great bunch of people and how rewarding it was to se them coming together for the leads. Another aspect of the series I loved. It doesn't hurt that they were funny as well.

6 The 2ML. I found him endearing funny and loved his character even though they tried to make him a goofball and someone immature. What's wrong with being spontaneous and let your heart guide your life. I rarely love the second couples and I didn't particularly cared for the 2FL, but the 2ML was one of my favorites ever.

7 The chemistry. it's rare for leads to have such good chemistry and it's something that makes or breaks a series for me.

8 The kisses. The ML is one of the best in kissing and each kiss have me butterflies. I wish this was a bit more daring but I wish this for every drama so my wish never comes true.

Things I loved

1 The FL. I can't put her in he "adored" list for two reasons. I don't find her particularly beautiful and I think he was above her league to be honest although it sounds callous what I say. That said, I still loved her and that's why she acted perfectly her role. She's a very good actress, the issue is that I don't think I will search other dramas with her. The reason is that I think that the chemistry between her and the ML is what made me love her. I can't imagine loving her with another actor but who knows? Maybe I'll try one day. The second reason is that I think her character was a it inconsistent sometimes. I don't think she showed enough emotion. I feel like another actress could play better the emotional scenes. She was great at comedy though. I loved her relationship with her grandfather, her brother, her best friend and her coworkers.

2 The 2FL. I can't put her in the "dislike" list because she was a good friend, but I'm tempted to because I didn't appreciate at all the way she behaved with the 2ML. But fine, she wasn't a bad person and the actress is beautiful and acts well.

3 The outfits. The ML had some gorgeous outfits, some of the best I've ever seen. The FL had some great ones but she also had some awful ones that made her look like a grandma. Still many great outfits everywhere.

4 The whole series. I loved that it was a work office rom com. Others said are bored but I actually loved every work related aspect. I found the setting original and if it weren't for the propaganda I would have loved it even more. It had also many funny moments and I was looking forward to the next episode. So all in all a great series.

5 The last scene with the small boy and the leads. Funny and heartwarming. I wish we had a few more scenes.

Things I disliked

1 The professor. I didn't hate him and he was a strong and interesting character but his propaganda speech annoyed me a lot.

2 The proposal. Too cliché and didn't give me the butterflies I wanted. It should have been done in another way more private, funnier and more romantic. It ruined the whole thing for me.

3 The lack of a final scene between the ML and his little brother.

Things I hated

1 The propaganda. It was too obvious and took away from my enjoyment.

2 The sponsored products. It was so blatant, it bordered to annoying, no scratch that, after a while it was annoying. I normally don't mind some discreet or sparse sponsored scenes but here it went too far.

3 The scumbags who have been arrested in the end. I'd love to have more time to see them going through some rough moments. They were both despicable. But at least we had some rewarding scenes with them caught scheming. Just not enough for me.

2 only for Xiao Ding

Things I loved

1 Xiao Ding. he's the only one in this drama who deserves wasting my time to write a review. It was already clear that he would be a great actor and he is. In all of his other dramas. The rest is dull, stupid and frustrating to watch.

Things I hated

1 Yes, you may call me superficial, but I don't see why to show her character we should go as far as give her that atrocious hair cut. She's beautiful and people can be beautiful and come in all kinds. Stupid as the heroine, kind, mean etc. So this hair cut was just to make us hate her? It was mush better in the last episode.

2 The last episode. So much time wasted in nothing and only 2 minutes in the main couple.

3 The FL character. other than the haircut I thought the actress was decent. But her character was awful. I didn't feel an ounce of sympathy for her and that says it all.

4 The whole script was flat and had no swoony or fun moments. Just angst and unoriginal scenes. Awful.

Great acting but...

Things I loved

1 The kisses. Finally, real kisses that honor the series. It's great to see the leads behave like real adults who love each other.

2 The ML acting. I think he was great at embodying the heroine. Truly convincing and I'm sure it wasn't easy.

Things I liked

1 The premise and I would have put it on the "loved" list but I realized that although I love the premise I'm easily bored an distracted while watching. I'm not sure why and if there are other dramas with the same premise I would love more.

2 The best friend. I though the relationship between the FL and her best friend was great. I particularly loved the character of the best friend.

Things I disliked

1 It's sad to say but I didn't connect with the FL. I think she did a good job with her character but something was missing. Maybe it's because I came from Hi Venus where I loved her but here it seemed like she didn't enjoy her role. To be honest I felt depressed sometimes when I was watching her. I'm not sure if there was a lack of chemistry probably that played a role as well, but it's also possible that she was so good in Hi Venus because her costar shines and you can't help but love their couple. Maybe she is an actress who holds back. I don't know, but it left me wanting something more. I won't look for any dramas she plays because she made me feel sad and it's not what I look for in a comedy.

2 Although I was expecting this i's still a cliché to say that the whole plot was a novel plot. Not original and not interesting.

Things I hated

1 The whole asteroid plot. So stupid, unoriginal and contrived.

2 The way she reacted when he asked her to be his girlfriend at the last episode. So depressing and infuriating.

Obnoxious, irritating second couple

Things I liked

1 The dubbing theme. I am in the industry and wanted to see how they handled that. It was a great premise and it could have been much better if the script was better. It wasn't.

2 The ML. I've seen him in other dramas and I think he's a decent actor and quite handsome. He plays well the cold CEO and the playful in love hero. He wasn't the issue here. Actually the six is only for him.

3 The wedding photos. They were cute and fun. Unfortunately it was too late to save the series.

Things I disliked

1 The FL. It's not about looks, I thought she was cute. It's her character and her over the top acting. She's not a great actress, I've seen her in another short series and she wasn't good. That said, she was cute enough to make me care. Something was lacking but with a better direction she could save the role. The director did a bad job if you ask me.

Things I hated

1 The rival. Well, that's a plus since that was the purpose so I should probably put it on the positive things.

2 The 2ML. What an awful actor. He was atrocious and not only as an actor. The character was so irritating, I wanted to scream every time he appeared. I didn't think he was funny or interesting or anything. Stupid and cocky without any middle ground.

3 The 2FL. Unattractive, awful actress, awful character. She paired well with the 2ML for the most stupid and obnoxious second couple. I've seen worse to be honest but they were still so irritating I won't watch anything with them.

I didn't hate it

Things I liked

1 The first episodes. I thought there were funny and I was looking forward to the interactions between the main leads. It didn't last.

2 The kisses. This series had a lot of kisses and the ML is a great kisser. There was some chemistry with the FL, I can't deny that.

Things I disliked

1 The ML. I liked him more than in other series, but still not enough. I'm not sure if t's his acting style but most of the times I can't take him seriously. Although I cried when he cried. I also loved the kisses, he's a great kisser.

Things I hated

1 The FL. I'm not sure why she became unlikable, when I loved her when it started. At the end I wanted him to find someone else.

2 The dramatic par. I'm not sure why they do that, but I hate the mix of comedy and heavy drama. Not the fault of the actors, the script wasn't good enough.

It drove me crazy for sure

Things I liked

1 The trope Best Friends to Lovers is my favorite so I had hope that it would be deep, funny, or even mildly interesting. It was none of the above. They didn't develop any of the characters and it was boring and nowhere romantic or sweet or funny. A total failure.

2 The ML. Unfortunately for him he was paired with an actress he had no chemistry with and it ruined everything. He is a good actor though and I'd love to see more of his work.

Things I hated

1 The FL. What an unattractive, cold, untalented actress. I didn't feel anything for her and I wanted so much the ML to step away from her. She tried to be cute, she isn't. She tried to be deep, she isn't. She was awful as much as the script.

2 How they ruined the trope and didn't develop the characters or the story. They could have a perfect rom com they created a bland uninspiring story.

Sweet and that's it

Things I liked

1 The FL. She is cute and her character was sweet and luminous. But that's it. There was nothing more. No sparks, no chemistry, no dynamism. I'm baffled that this drama has an 8 while others much more interesting are rated lower. This was boring and was lacking something. Especially after the first 4 - 5 episodes, it became tedious.

2 The ML. I liked him but I didn't love him. He was too bland to awake any feelings in me. Negative or positive. I don't think he's a great actor, but I can't make myself put him on the "dislike" list. That said, the couple lacked chemistry and sweet isn't always enough.

3 The script itself. I adore tropes and high school friends or enemies is one of my favorite tropes, but here it was lackluster. Nothing was interesting, every scene dragged down the whole series.

Things I disliked

1 The 2 FL. I found her spoiled, annoying as hell and I wanted her to get rejected and live alone. What an unpleasant character.

2 The ML. It's not the actor but hi s character was also too juvenile and that he fell for that stupid and spoiled woman, the 2FL sealed his fate. Otherwise I could put him in the "liked" list.

So good and heartwarming

Things I adored

1 The friendship between these three women. It sounded genuine and it was heartwarming. So many moving moments. I didn't expect that when I started the series and it was a great surprise to see their friendship evolve and how it shaped them.

2 The main FL (although I could argue there are three). She's beautiful and talented and although sometimes it felt like she didn't exactly know how to deal with her character she still was great. I felt everything she felt and I was with her all along on her journey to become a more confident woman who knows what she wants and what she deserves.

3 The older FL. I adored her character. She was the glue that kept everything together for me. The actress did a phenomenal job to make me feel for her and I so wanted her to find peace. So many moving moments involved her and I loved each one of them.

4 The younger FL. She was adorable and she was probably the one who matured the most and changed the most which was great to see and follow. I loved how different she was from the other two, but also how loyal she was and how lighthearted when she has her own struggles.

5 The ML. Some say he didn't have enough screen time but I disagree. He was there when it mattered and there was real romance. I loved the way he treated the FL. He wasn't the cold, jerk boss, he was kind and understanding and honest. I loved his character and how he changed his life to chase his dreams. A positive character I'd love to see more often in Kdramas.

6 The 2ML. An adorable character who got what he deserved at the end and that was rewarding to me. I was with him all the way. He was respectful, kind, smart and he made a great couple with the heroine.

Things I disliked

1 I can't say I liked the appearance of the ex husband. I can see why they brought him in but the story didn't make much sense and went nowhere in a way although, yes, there was some reasoning and some healing behind his appearance. Still he wasn't interesting enough and the story about him and the older heroine left me unsatisfied.

2 The whole daughter plot. I won't say I hated it because it was a good plot and it had me in tears more than once, but I still would have preferred the story didn't have such a heavy plot. I know Kdramas have the habit to blend comedy with heavy plots, but I'm not a fan of it. I dislike it thoroughly to be honest. Either have drama and comedy can be created by circumstances like in real life, either you have comedy and drama isn't necessary.

Things I hated

1 The coworker. What a scheming, stupid hen. I didn't find her any redeeming qualities and I don't think it was necessary to try to excuse her. She was plain mean and a liar. I truly wanted her to have a worst outcome and pay for her stupid behavior.

Different in a good way

Things I adored

1 The FL. I loved the actress but also the character she portrayed. She was badass, different, strong, smart and funny. A woman who knows what she does and why. Honestly at first I thought she wasn't beautiful enough, same for the ML, and that it could diminish my enjoyment. Yes I do acknowledge I'm superficial about this and I want my romcom heroes to be handsome. But she embodies her character so well, I fell in love with her, and now I find her very pretty on top of her acting skills.

2 The ML. Same about him. I thought he was wooden and not very handsome at first and then I fell for his acting, for his character and I think now he's very very handsome. So this is a drama that won me over when I wasn't particularly fan at first. Great job.

Things I loved

1 The 2ML. I loved his relationship with the ML and I think he's one of the most handsome actors out there. This was the first drama I've seen him, but I will definitely look out for any other drama he's a part of.

2 The 2FL. She's beautiful and quite a good actress. I loved her friendship with the FL and although I think her character could be more developed I still loved her.

3 The story itself. It was different and fun in an original way.

4 The chemistry between the leads. I think they were good together. I loved how he stood up for her. It was great and got the 8.5 I was planning on rating it to 9.
