Fastdrama has ep4 subbed. No idea if they're any good, gonna watch it now. I'll end up watching this show multiple times: unsubbed, badly subbed, with good subs and then when the whole thing is done every single episode all over again...
Wow, this is so much more than just a Noona Romance! It’s about a modern working women. About the choices she has to make… to speak up for herself or not, to tolerate unwelcome male behavior or not, to bow down to the pressure of marriage or not. And about a modern man who is self-assured enough to want to be with a woman who makes the tougher choices. Apart from the age difference Jin Ah and Joon Hee are equal. Neither of them is more affluent then the other, they are in the same social group, they both work hard, they both like the same things. The relationship feels completely natural because of that. It'll be interesting to see how their surroundings will react to their relationship and if they'll be steadfast. So far I love this show. And I love the realisme that seems to be central in more and more Korean dramas.
I really liked the ending. Much better than I anticipated. I mean, this story is just a tiny little part of Son Oh Gong's long life. The love story was resolved nicely with him letting Jin Sun Mi know how he really felt and telling her it won't be the end. After that I think it's great how the writers let us imagine how he drives off into the sunset towards the next story, whether it's to actually find Jin Sun Mi, or to just literally raise hell. And whatever happens next can happen in a second season, a special, or in my own mind. I might actually prefer the latter, so I'm gonna shut up now and have a good long dream about that monkey!!
I liked most of these drama's, but the best? I'm sorry to say I don't agree with most of the above. I mean: Chief Kim? Stranger? Because This is my First Life? A Taxi Driver?
My favorite person in Korean drama this year was Bae Doo Na as police lieutenant Han Yeo Jin in 'Stranger'. A strong, independent woman, but never bitchy. The way a professional woman was portrayed in this drama was one of the reasons for me to like it so much. She stands her ground amongst her colleagues, and she is respected by them. And her relationship with Hwang Si Mok never gets romantic, other than a slight twinkle of interest in her eyes for a second or two. Despite of that they were the perfect partnership, who solve the case together and become friends in the process.
@admin : Why is 'Stranger' referred to as 'Secret Forest' in the best actor catagory? I know that's it's alternative name, but it's called 'Stranger' in all the other catagories. It's main name is 'Stranger' on this very website. And it's called 'Stranger' on Netflix, so might be more known under that name. In this case it would be better to be consistent, I think. We want to give Jo Seung Woo a fair chance after all!
I’m actually suffering, ep 5&6 are nowhere to be found with eng subs. Why is it that the shows that are not…
You guys all do realise that when ep. 5 & 6 came out it was Christmas, right? Maybe the subbers had some family stuff to deal with like the rest of us. I think it's great subs were up so quickly after.
