It's one of my favorite anime. If you haven't seen it: do! The story is so good. And pay attention to the opening: great song by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, and great animation. I'm curious about the live-action because it'll follow the manga. That's why I'll watch it. Really hope they'll do a good job!! And it's great it'll be on Netflix: another opportunity to get my friends into Asian drama. ;-) I'm not really sure about Furukawa yuki though. He'll have to convince me.
Two more things. What I like about the character of Su Ji: she represents that woman we might all be a little jealous of, you know... beautiful... seems to have it all. But women like that have to deal with a whole other set of problems. It's not easy to be taken seriously when people can't see beyond your looks. In that light this show is pretty topical (H. Weinstein). But women need to look in the mirror too. What I mean is the story of Won Seok. He is so right: be clear about what you want or what you need. Communication works both ways. Don't hint at a sofa and expect a ring instead. How is he supposed to know. Jeez.
I really like the questions this show is asking: What is normal? When something works for you, why are other people so bothered? And why is the world so male-oriented? I mean, is a harassing co-worker worse than a father who denies his daughter her own life? That's why I like Ji Ho so much. She's not boring at all. She's really very brave. To move to Seoul to begin with, to kiss a stranger because she's fed up with waiting to see what it's like, to take herself out of a situation where she's being assaulted and exploited... And I like Se Hee because he is truly honest. He doesn't give Ji Ho an empty promise of love. Instead he tell's her he needs her, literally for who she is.
Is this in any way linked to Umi no Ue no Shinryoujo (Japan, 2013)? Same theme: hospital ship that visits islands.…
Right. I don't mind that either. As long as it fits in the story and it's not forced to sell the show. But without romance it can still be a great relationship, probably even more interesting. Like between the leads of Stranger.

Yes, I thought so too. The Japanese drama was kind of quirky. This new kdrama'll probably be quite intense. I like medical drama's when they're done well, so we'll see.
Is the 'Cold Case' really nice? I love investigative drama's and I am soo really craving of watching…
I really liked Cold Case. I liked the realism of it. And the way the personal issues of the main characters are adressed, without straying too far from what it's all about: the cases.
