being psychology major myself, I find this drama annoying wrong most of the time (especially with how his 'experiment'…
If you check the beginning of each ep, it is stated that nothing is real everything is fictional the drama has already declared that I don't get why you're annoyed.
Why scary? Is it bad to care for your parents and listen to them? Is it bad to put them first before yourself? Even if it comes off as controlling they always try to do what "they think" is best for their kids they are not enemies you know. I completely understand those family ties because I come from the same culture. We care about our parents very much and we don't think that just because we are grown up it means they have no right on us. If that kind of relationship is hard for you to understand don't watch family dramas but what you said is very insulting to be honest.
This is too confusing! Pls if anyone understands what happened in ep 2 explain to me. Is he connected to the past? Why things started changing like pictures and notes?
What they did with those old folks is awful forcing them to watch the screen when they are obviously too old for that.
Ok I'm getting reaaaaaaaallly irritated by the elder son who is all about me and my wife, his idiot doormat wife who acts so innocent but is not and his mother-in law who suddenly don't care about her friend anymore. urghhhh
Seeing how the case with Jin Woo's dad wrapped up, with his dad never even getting a fair chance of treatment…
I think he didn't want to believe that something is wrong with his dad that time, who would? You guys are siting back tension free analysing things and what should he had done, what didn't he do, why hasn't he done that, why didn't he think of that...etc it's because you guys are relaxed watching behind the screen having the good mental state and the time to analyse thing while JinWoo was there fighting for his dad struggling through this fight with corruption all over him lawyer, prosecutor, judge..etc What kind of mental state would he be in that would allow him to think straight? His father is accused with this heinous crime, people backstabbed him, no one is listening to him, media was attacking him and his dad both verbally and physically, his neighbourhood wrote swearing words on his house wall and to top all that something seems wrong with his father.
I'd be lucky if I could even pull myself together and go to the court :)
This is ridiculous waiting 15 years to do something about it!! I really don't like the main lead's character,…
@nick then he could've come up with other ways other than the police. Just like he rushed to the reporters and announced that the murderer is a Female, he could've tried and talk about it in the media, or at least write about it in the internet. When did we start having internet? Yes that long, yet he didn't try to find other ways it's like either listen to me or nothing.
As I said there is no excuse for him to not tell the mom.

No worries. I agree it's K drama and I should be used to it by now, but this was too much you know? They make us see that woman waiting and waiting for 15 years and make us go through that 29 hours of suspense (which I call uanessacry nerve-racking) and expect me to enjoy the drama? I was like djjhfjdhjkdhjdjkg is that?! lol congratulations to this drama for making me pissed after 10 years history of watching dramas :) not in an appreciative way though.
That's right, it completely slipped my mind that they showed us that he suffered from a trauma as a child, thank you for reminding me. Things seem different now. I still don't get why hasn't he told the mom? This is definitely something I can't excuse, he could've told her he knew she was waiting for that she has the right to know. This is a huge mistake from his side.
This is just a guess, but I think he is blaming himself for what happened because if he did take her with him under his umbrella this wouldn't have happened.

I'm sorry but this is not one bit realistic. Why? No one listened to him no one?! Does that make sense to you? So ALL the police officers that time were bad and only now NOW that one police officer with conscious appears?? Does that look realistic to you?! Since when a witness (no matter how young he/she is) gets ignored by the police? and by everyone?!! Also I'm blaming the adult him, and no he hasn't moved on he was watching the mom all over these years he never did move on with his life. BUT why hasn't he done anything about it as an adult?! why was he watching the mom then?! if you are not going to do something then just forget it and move on with your life if you already had given up. Watching her for 15 years knowing that she is so desperate to find the murderer and he can just leave it at that?! That was so nerve-racking to me. I'm sorry but I find no redeeming reasons for what he did. He can find other ways to do something about and the least he could've done is tell the mom she has the right to know! Making her wait is just too cruel.
This is really ridiculous 15 years and just now policemen with conscious suddenly appeared 29 hours before the expiration. That is so far from realistic.
This is ridiculous waiting 15 years to do something about it!! I really don't like the main lead's character, I can't find any excuse for him even if he did try to tell the truth several times and no one listened he still managed to make them listen 29 hours before the expiration!! It was getting on my nerves the way he was watching the mom but not doing anything about it. I like the drama but I don't like when I get pissed for ridiculousness.
why his mom is against them she knows the girl she raises her she loves her and she was in love with her dad so…
Do humans always make sense? Don't we all sometimes act in a way others think that we make no sense but we think we have justifiable reasons? To her she thought she is being a good caring mom if she does that, also before she was a mom she was just a girl in love, don't you think it's weird for her that her son is falling for the daughter of the man she loved? Maybe she is being selfish but who isn't as a human we always tend to think of our feelings first.
Definitely surprised with the negative comments as this is easily one of the best Korean dramas I've ever seen.…
Well said, the more I read comments praising YSH's acting and appreciating this kid the more I feel relieved because honestly there was just too much accusation and criticism (poor lead, poor acting) which I couldn't indulge. I realise that each person has his/her opinion but come on what YSH gave in this drama how can that ever be considered "poor". I felt like I'm watching a whole different drama than everyone. The only thing that was comforting me is the high ratings its receiving in Korea. However now I can see some positive comments here too finally.
This drama is for ppl who like to cry But I don't believe it will be up to 20ep, if it does it will become draggy…
Yes it could most certainly lead to misunderstanding, why? "This drama is for ppl who like to cry" not really nice way of putting it specially for those who like the drama. I like it that doesn't mean I like to cry (in fact it didn't make me cry). I get what you mean and you have freedom to express your opinion but the expression wasn't right. That's like saying in a Rom-Com drama page "This drama is for ppl who like shallow things". Glad you're enjoying it :)
What a nicely written review, gives me warm fuzzy feelings about this drama even though I haven't seen it. Reply 1988 sure has been/is been receiving lots of love :)
