I have similar feelings about the characters that I had in the first season...from wives, I mostly liked Pi Young…
Also the ending was super strange, how they just mixed up the pairs, and then they give you a preview about something with the old actors, but then in the season 3 there are different people :D
I have similar feelings about the characters that I had in the first season...from wives, I mostly liked Pi Young (although her relationship with her mother was something I disliked). I liked her reasoning with her husband Yusin, however how they went back and forth later in the drama and one whole episode was just about this...what a filler, that was just too much. From the men's side, I liked and could understood only Sa Hyeon, though I could never see why he was staying with his wife, because she wants to "move on and is able to go past his affair"....I hated that conniving woman to guts, and how everyone around her fell for her fake tactics everytime. Thus from mistresses, I liked only Song Yuan, there was hardly any class for the rest of them, Ga Bin was wishy-washy, and A Mi was just a clingy and selfish brat. One of the biggest trash was still Dong Mi, tho the part with the late husband hating on his wife and then suddenly wandering around the pool and stuff was super random :D What I heavily disliked about the drama is the amount of scenes that were just someone's imagination...like you would feel that finally they said what they were supposed to say in the beginning, and then it's like boom, that was just in their head, in reality they are just stupidly quiet.
As videographer who directed a few fashion shows I had colab with designers and models and most of them are not…
Well, yes, I get what you are saying, and it just might be the way the industry is portrayed in dramas, but there are also reality shows with such themes, and I am not sure if they are all scripted (for sure some of them are, but I suppose not all). I get that especially models that are not considered supermodels might not all be like that, but as soon as someone is a bit famous, it's just seems that way and they start to treat others badly.
I can see many people love this drama, I guess it was just not my cup of tea once again....during the 2nd episode I still felt not really interested, and with many characters that I already disliked, I rather decided to drop it.
I have always found this so stupid :D If you want to be with someone and you mind some stuff, just say it, work on it, or walk away if it is impossible. But to express it by saying "let's break up" to see the reaction, and be angry about the guy not persuading you....I mean this is suitable for school, adult people should not be handling relationship issues like this. If someone told me "let's break up", I would feel like this discussion is already starting bad and not like something I want to fix or feel comfortable in anymore...
So in the beginning we start with a hot scene of Minho in action....and I believed this is how the relationships would look like in the drama, but it slooowed down a lot in this aspect. Nevertheless, I sometimes enjoy watching fashion dramas, as they tend to be fast-paced (as there seems to be an urgency always in fashion LOL ). However, I would never understand why people in fashion would always be rude and have this self-important air around themselves, be it editors, stylists, designers etc. For I-don't-know-who's-sake, you just design / pick apparel stuff, you are not a rocket scientist or some person discovering a new magical cure, you have just put together a skirt and a blouse! So this part of the fashion world always seems idiotic for me, like what makes you believe you can treat others like sh** just because you are in this industry....The FL seemed at times annoying, and had traits I hate for girls, like with ML she is not dating anymore, gets angry about his advances, but then wants him to drop everything and run to her and help her when she needs him. Like don't you have any emotions and sense, why would you that to him?
Shin Se Kyung is very annoying in scenes where she is confused / has inner conflict. As for her character, I can understand the feeling when you are angry about the fact that while you cannot have something, your parents give it to other "less fortunate" kids (could not they just give stuff equally to her and other kids?). However, I was more interested in the gods' lives and stuff than the love story. I felt like they went from hate to love really quickly and it did not felt natural in the beginning. I actually liked Hoo-Ye, he was often to the point, a just and a kind character (even after I found out who he is later). His secretary was also a great character.
Well, actually ML was a kind of a jerk just at the beginning of the drama, then we have found out he is actually quite lonely (which is not an excuse for being a jerk), but he was actually nice, as he opened up to FL, but maaan, the FL was just...super annoying. Always running from something, unable to be honest about her feelings, irrational etc. etc. I really liked the character of ML's secretary and his hot romance :D
The ML was a horrible person, a lot of people are hating the wife, but I would say what did the husband do right?…
Plus he had some horrible guts in him, burying people on his yard and then digging them up few times just to get the phone and later the fingerprint for it. The wife should have just divorce him and then let the mafia f**** him up. The only mafia guy that was "likeable" was Kwang Chul, because he did not go around killing people just for fun, and he even saved the ML's son. As for the police, I kind of felt that the detective would be killed, I liked the fact that the detective Eun Joo killed the mole in the police in cold blood (as prison would not fix such a character), but too bad she did it in front of everyone, but I bet she just felt crazy at that time and would not be able to live her life normally.
The ML was a horrible person, a lot of people are hating the wife, but I would say what did the husband do right? He took the money for his son op to bribe someone so he would have a higher salary and maybe save up later? WTF? It does not make sense, as they needed the money at that time. He was not thinking clearly at any point of time, was making stupid decisions every time, always making things worse...
Oh, it does absolutely NOT deal with circus or magic stuff - like not at all! There is not even one circus scene…
Thanks for clarifying this for me :) Still, these were just examples, I usually keep watching dramas where I feel somehow interested during the first episode, here I felt more..annoyed? :D Not sure how to explain this, but the whole vibe from the first episode and the main characters too made me drop this right away.
I am not saying cheating is ok, not at all, actually I am the one who says if you cannot deal with things anymore, get divorced, then find yourself a new man / woman...but people seem to hate here the mistresses and how the men were trashy. Actually, watching the Sa Hyun-Hye Ryung couple, I kind of understand why he would cheat. In other couples, the wives loved their husbands (tho they did not do everything perfectly either), but you could say the husbands did not really have a reason to cheat (other than being swayed by another woman). But Hye Ryung? I mean, she was nasty to her husband so much I was wondering why she wanted to be married, and then wants a revenge? I think Sa Hyun's cheating was a revenge for her behavior towards him, is it enough if I mention the scene where he was sick and how she "cared" for him? I think he was at first mesmerized by her playing drums, but later found out her true selfish character. Actually, I felt sorry for him, and I could understand why he would feel differently when he met his mistress (as she was so calm and caring, and the exact opposite of the true face of his wife). So I don't care if I receive hate comments here for "siding" with a guy, an affair is wrong, but if a wife is a b***, I would not side with the woman just because I am one too.
I am an ELF, and I really like Donghae (of course my profile picture would not give it away :D) , so I can't wait for this drama. However, checking the photos from the drama, I actually like his hairstyle more in the script-reading pics than in those from the actual drama :D
I think I have watched on youtube a video where it was supposed to show a cringy scenes of Jaehyun, but from those scenes I actually thought he looked quite natural? Especially this being his first role....I would like to watch the series, and when people mention here his kissing scenes....well, I am looking forward to it :)
Why weren't you happy with the ending? They will become a couple. Of course everything leading to that was super-disappointing,…
I am not sure, I have got the feeling that they kind of moved on and met as friends happy to see each other? It was too open in a way for me to see them as a couple.
What I heavily disliked about the drama is the amount of scenes that were just someone's imagination...like you would feel that finally they said what they were supposed to say in the beginning, and then it's like boom, that was just in their head, in reality they are just stupidly quiet.
