Thats such a sweet story about Baobei and its one that they echo alot around the industry. Shes professional yet personable, hard-working and a wonderful advocate for her work. She has such a bright but cautious temperament because of the fact that she is Uyghur. I keep telling people, you cant understand the magnitude of when an entire country makes you the "model minority". It isn’t a compliment—it’s a burden. It comes with expectations that are impossible to meet and punishments that are swift when you fall short. Every move is scrutinised, every failure amplified, every success weaponised you. Its one of the reasons why i always have time to support and amplify her work because she works hard, nothing is merely given to her.
