Valid points made but Dilraba isnt "declining", never has and never will. Like most people, her career goes through ebbs and flows, but to remain at the top of the game since your debut is no small feat. She's taken on more challenging roles these last two years and has gained more credibility for her acting, which is what she has always wanted.
You can credit the raise of other stars due to the demand for idol dramas and their hard work but you can never truly stop someone who was always meant to shine. That goes for Baba and everyone else whose profile has raised within the last few years! But an actor doing back-to-back dramas doesn't necessarily mean they are doing well, it can signal at them being exploited, signed to dodgy agencies, need to pay off debt etc true luxury in this industry, is being able to take a long break and still be the topic of conversation. It means she has freedom to choose her works or explore outside of that realm.
Baba is a veteran and a-lister, which gives her career stability. Shes past the stage of turning up to every red carpet event because she doesnt need it. Shes established in China. Remember, international presence is a bonus but being relevant and culturally important in China is the true mark of being an acting superstar.
Theres so many ways you can support her in your country, try joining a local Alice fandom group and help promote her and her works that way. Being in a slump is normal, we get it when we're frustrated with Jaywalk ðŸ˜ðŸ¤£

While ZS's acting was questionable, she had great resources after Love 020 became a hit and she was seen everywhere, almost rivaling Angelababy but she didnt have AB's mass marketability. You're right, with a country like China, having good character is important esp if you are a rising as an idol. BL is someone I'd place in the middle of the 90s and 95s line up because of ability to move across audiences/fanbases. If Yuzheng manages her career properly and not overwhelm her with loads of idol dramas, she has a great path ahead.
Same, i cant totally discredit JW because they truly utilised her in the beginning and were a great launching pad under YangMi, the trouble is their strategy seems to be geared towards popularity and not longevity, everything extra Baba has now is because shes sensible and hardworking. LOTL & Sword Rose really solidified her ability to cross over into more seious drama tropes, away from idol dramas. Shes been saying for the longest time, she's wanted to play roles that amplify her prowress and capabilities Jaywalk has pigeon holed her for so long, that these roles as well as her unreleased drama, show shes more than ready for that transition. If you think about the 90s line-up, her and YZ are the only ones holding down the forte with Baba being in the lead. If Zhang Shuang was still relevant, even she couldnt reach Baba's current standing within the industry. O definitely think, Baba's unproblematic and unscandalous private life contributes a lot to her success and marketability.

I think its a natural transition esp someone at this stage of their career. Finacially its a smart decision as they will be more intentional with their spending/travelling and save resources. Also constantly being in the public, overwhelms her brand, not being readily available mystifies her a bit and keeps people longing for more.
I'm sad Baba wont be at Weibo Night, didnt attend Dior exhibitions in Shanghai and didnt attend Paris shows ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ But then i remember its only fricken January 😠Rest up, Baba.
