Let's make a thread of unfulfilled wishes! Things you wanted to be in TLB, things you imagined beforehand, things…
I wanted them to keep the origin story of her mother and maternal family. I wanted them to keep the original 15 Luo Men. And to keep the plot line with Qin Lao, Xufeng and A'Du. In the manhua, they were instrumental in solidifying Channgge's influence across the board.
Love this pairing! Curious but Does ZLS have a big contract with Tencent ? I’ve been seeing all sorts of trailers…
Tbh regardless, who uses that excuse, I know for sure it's not the entire truth and its PR doing damage control. Lol Hollywood do it all the time, and we always give them the side eye.

Definitely their lower executives. Despite being big companies, Alibaba and Tencent are known for letting their startups and sub groups work autonomously so those executives will definitely be working overtime to cash in on a new investment.
Absolutely, Lusi has come a long way since her early works. She has definitely put in the hard yards but it will be challenging to take a role that isn't a rom-com or doesn't require her to be emotionally vulnerable. It will be interesting how she and her team manoeuvre it all. Because a huge backing can be both a blessing and curse.
Dilraba has a great deal of potential to extend her career reach. And now with her personal team taking more time to navigate the spaces for her to succeed, it's promising. And we see the results of that. Jaywalk need an overhaul of management because they have too many promising stars to not invest in proper scripts and collaborating with production/producers/directors.

Check out 38Jiejie, quite a few articles on that page. Most were dated late last year, but it's spiralled until TLB was released. My friend had to translate the Mandarin sites for me so I could fully grasp what the sites were saying. Her fans might be gushing but the anti-fans are always working over time especially on Weibo.
And yes, Dilraba is always the target of criticism, most of which are unfounded. And she takes it on board, she recently said that she no longer lets the comments bother her as much as it used to. She has a better team now so I am happy that she is now living her best life!

There's been a quite most recently. Much of its just netizens being nasty online and articles popping here and there. But it's had to push her management to make statements in order to put the rumours to bed.

The last time I read she was managed by Yinhekuyu Media who were acquired by Alibaba last year. They also manage Terry Liu who is in the new drama with Zhao Lusi. Considering Jack Ma (CEO Alibaba) and Pony Ma/Ma Huateng (CEO Tencent) are good friends and have collaborated in the past, it doesn't seem unlikely that a broadcasting deal would have been struck up between the two mega-companies. Each have stakes in each other's businesses ventures.
It makes sense that they would push her forward as she has gained quite a bit of traffic for her dramas lately and Tencent are always looking to bring about the new faces of the future.
I just hope they look out for her properly and that her management are keeping an eye out for her wellbeing and career developments. The industry is cruel and if they don't risk assess properly, she will be the one to suffer the most loss.

Tencent really is. Since the TLB, this the first time, I have seen her consistently make the top 10 spots in charts. We will see how this fairs, as this strategy usually starts off well, then the actors in question will get quite a bit of backlash as we see with Lusi now, as there's terrible rumours about her in circulation. And not the best kind. Time will tell. She's young so she will learn along the way and hopefully her management look out for her.
It's best to steady help them raise or if you're going for a quick capitalisation, make sure you make the right power moves. The industry is cruel.

Bai Lu is great. She's one I am watching closely for the next few years! She is definitely making the right moves. She and Li Yitong have similar career paths so it will be interesting to see.
Its looked alright when she was walking and you could see the split, made it look more youthful, otherwise yes…
The dress is gorgeous but as always a lot Chinese stylists always fall short of the hair and make up aspect of the look when it comes to carpet. I notice that their supermodels are usually the standouts because they always take risks

I just hope she looks after herself and that management do there job.
